5 STARS: Fans of Charlaine Harris and Janet Evanovich will enjoy Dead Eye. Alyssa Day has done it again! She’s written a story that’s so much fun to read that you don’t want to put it down. (Reader review)
For Jack Shepherd, tiger shape-shifter and former soldier, life is heading for a dead end. Dead End, Florida, to be exact. When he learns that he inherited a combination pawn shop/private investigation agency from his favorite uncle, Jack’s first job is to solve his uncle’s murder. Because sometimes it takes a tiger’s eye to see the truth.
Tess Callahan, who owns half a pawn shop in the strangest town in Florida, didn’t expect Jack to show up and be so very enticing. And exciting. And annoyingly over-protective. But when yet another dead body shows up on her doorstep, it’s time to take action. And if she has to team up with a sexy tiger shape-shifter to do it, well, that’s just a bonus.
Welcome to Dead End, Florida, where Bigfoot keeps a winter home. And welcome to the Tiger’s Eye Mysteries!
This novel is a paranormal mystery with magic, shape shifters, humor, vampires, a taxidermied alligator, witches, gunshots, bad singing, Crazy Hormonal Town, terrible parking, the FBI, swamp commandos, tigers, special agents, flirting, belly laughs, comedy, humor, and a pawn shop.
WARNING: Dangerous book!! Beware of I laughed so hard I almost peed a little* and I fell out of bed laughing.

It was so good that I bought three other books in the series, something I almost never do. This one was free and not from my favorite genre but thoroughly enjoyable. So glad I came across it.
Whitty, a little steamy and a mystery all in one.
Fun read.
Loved this book. Couldn’t put it down till I finished it ar 3 am. I can’t wait to read the next book.
I stopped reading.this book because it is goofy. No explanation of characters. Jumps to shape shifting and vampires for no reason. Makes no sense.
It was a lot of fun to read!
An unusual cast of magical characters yet believable
Light reading. Fun.
Fantastic characters! Wonderfully written! Really enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this author.
a sexy shape-shifter and town full of those touched with magic – what more could you want? oh yeah a mystery to solve!
Dead End is a small town in Florida sometime in the future, when the US has allowed witches, vampires, shape shifters, and other paranormal beings to live openly and with full rights. Jack, a shape shifting Tiger, has just returned to town after learning of his Uncle Jeremiahs’s murder. Once you accept this novel’s reality, you can sit back and enjoy Tess, uncle Mark and Aunt Becky. You can enjoy the budding attraction between Jack and Tess, and you can enjoy the building suspense as they try to find Jeremiah’s murderer and to prevent black magic from overtaking the town.
Paranormal, great characters, funny, entertaining
What a fun fantasy mystery. You know the good guys are going to win but it is such fun, you just keep reading
With such a great cover and destination, I could not pass on this wonderful paranormal mystery that spotlights a shapeshifter, a tiger to be precise, an I can see how you die pawnshop owner, and an orphan girl, as the danger draws closer the mystery draws them together and I can hardly wait to read more from Alyssa Day.

I enjoyed reading it. Characters are interesting.
Fun characters, interesting story and supporting characters were quite entertaining. Love the new shop mascot and that this Tiger is in full control of his powers and change. A lot of other books draw out the transformation process or have the hero learning to control it. Confidence is sexy and Jack exudes it without being the male macho I’m the Man, I Know It All type. I really enjoyed Tess being a balanced player, she doesn’t whimper and frighten easily and when she is scared she admits it and tries to fake courage to hold her own. Can’t wait to see what this duo tackle next.
Great characters. Very well written.
Excellent shape changer adventure.
This is an interesting series. I enjoyed the first book enough to buy the second and pre-order the third. The romance angle is not so heavy to detract from the rest of the story. The characters are fun without being ridiculous or stupid. The mystery itself is somewhat lame, but this in no way detracts from the enjoyment.
Really easy to read and very entertaining
