When a body is discovered in a field in Iowa, the police uncover fourteen additional corpses ranging from 20 years old to recent. The remains point to a serial killer with an MO the authorities have seen before–Ed Oliphant, a man who has been in prison for over 20 years . . . and is Special Agent Kaely Quinn’s father. After several failed interview attempts to discover if Ed has been training … someone to be a copycat killer, the police turn to Kaely in St. Louis.
Kaely promised herself she would never step foot in her hometown or set eyes on her father again. She’s always refused to confront her past, but if she wants to prevent any more deaths, she must come face-to-face with the man she’s hated for years.
As more bodies are discovered, Kaely races against time and her own personal turmoil to uncover the killer. Will this most personal case yet cost Kaely her identity and perhaps even her life?

Nancy Mehl takes us deeper into the life of FBI agent Kaely Quinn in this third book of her profiler series.
There is never a chance to get bored reading about this interesting character. Kaely has a strong faith but still struggles with unresolved issues concerning her father who is incarcerated. Ms. Mehl has done an admirable job of portraying her subjects as real, conflicted as they are. There are many layers to them that show us why they behave as they do.
Kaely is still reeling from her last case and surfs the Net for possible drug related cases. She comes across a breaking news article that brings back the awful memory she has of her father, a serial killer. She is afraid it could be happening again. To her surprise, she and her partner Noah Hunter are approached by the DeMoines Chief of Police and she is facing the possibility of confronting her father. Noah cares for Kaely but is scared as she regularly puts her life in danger. She is a Christian but is finding it hard to see the Will of God in the whole picture. They come to realize that they are fighting not only flesh and blood but evil forces behind evil people.
Exciting and complicated, this story leaves you guessing at times and comes to a fascinating conclusion, with the principal players stronger and more resilient.
Can’t wait to see what Nancy Mehl come up with next!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House on behalf of the author. I was not required to give a favorable review. All opinions are my own.*
What a fantastic way to bring this series together. I hope there will be more in this series but if not I loved this ending. I laughed and cried all the way through this book. I loved the romance and all of the suspense. I loved the twists and turns. I really loved learning all the secrets of the characters. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
I really enjoyed “Dead End” by Nancy Mehl. This is the 3rd book in the Kaely Quinn Profiler series. I really love this series. I believe this is my favorite books by Nancy Mehl. I really didn’t know how this book was going to end, and I was very surprised at the end. It had a twist that I never saw coming!
This book continues with Kaely and her partner, Noah. Kaely and Noah are trying to find out who the “copycat killer” is. This killer is a copycat to Kaely’s own father, who is in prison. Kaely is asked to confront her father and see what she can find out. This creates a lot of stress and tension in Kaely’s life. There is lots of suspense and a little bit of romance in this novel.
I highly recommend this novel to all fans of good, clean, suspense with a little romance fiction.
I received this novel from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
I adore suspense, romantic suspense, and thrillers novels. I get excited about a novel or series that features a reoccurring serial killer. I know. You’re probably turned off now, but I love the hunt for someone and picking up on the clues and red herrings, trying to distract me from figuring out who the villain is. In Nancy Mehl’s current series, Kaely Quinn Profiler, I have enjoyed the series because of the heroine’s perspective. Being a serial killer’s daughter is completely different and unique. She brought something new to the table. There is some romance between Kaely and Noah, a fellow officer, but nothing to touchy-feeling. Not for the true contemporary romance fans. Way more downplayed. I loved the action and suspense in Dead End. It really captured my attention. I was at lunch at work and reached the climactic point at the end of my lunch, and I didn’t want to return. Needed to see how the story played out. The little disappointment for the story was that I figured out who the killer was in this novel before the end. Not that it took away from the story. I just read so many of these suspense novels that I usually have them figured out. Overall, Dead End was an enjoyable read. Definitely a series for my keeper shelf. If readers enjoy Lynette Eason, then I recommend picking up this series.
I received a complimentary copy of Dead End by Nancy Mehl from Bethany House Publishers, but the opinions stated are all my own.
A great conclusion to this series. Kaley is still fighting her demons. And yes the author does show us that they are demons she is fighting. In this book Kaley has to face her father. The serial killer who killed over 20 women. Can she do it and retain her sanity. She still carries hate for her father for what he did to her and her family. Noah is Kaely’s partner in the FBI. Against his better judgement, he has fallen in love her. Noah is mad at God for allowing his wife to die. There are twists and turns that made me keep reading.
This is the third book in the Kaely Quinn Profiler Series. I recommend that you read the first two books in the series before reading this one.
I was given this book by Bethany House Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
Wow!!! What a fantastic book. I so looked forward to the release of this book and let me tell you, Nancy Mehl did not let me down. This is an awesome conclusion to the Kaely Quinn Series. I was hooked from the very first page and it kept me hooked the entire book. Kaely dealt with so many things, spiritual warfare, fear, death, efforts to forgive and all with just the right touch of romance. Noah was a wonderful support to her and helped to keep her grounded through the whole thing. I love Nancy Mehl’s Romantic Suspense and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next. If you haven’t already, then you need to get this whole series. You will love it too. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions expressed are my very own.
The third and last book in the Kaely Quinn Criminal Profiler series. I must say here and now this is absolutely the best book I have read of Mehl’s. Kaely from her childhood has fought her demons and still fighting them. She cannot find forgiveness in her heart for her serial killer father. He destroyed their family. She has had no contact with him since he was arrested and charged and now serving life in prison. Neither does she intend to, ever…..But now she is asked by the chief of police in her old hometown to visit her father in prison, because a new serial killer with the very same method of killing has surfaced. They say she is their only hope of catching him. They think her father knows who it is and maybe she can get him to talk……Can she, will she? She fights her demons everyday and doesn’t think she can. Her partner, Noah doesn’t think she should as he is watching her each day become more battered and tormented in her mind and soul……This book has so many intense situations, heart pounding and fearful moments that will have you holding your breath. You think you have figured out “who dunnit” but then something new turns up……… Through it all, God still works on hearts and lives. This book is superb……..I was given a complimentary copy of this novel from Bethany House in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed are entirely my own…..LOVED IT!
What a fantastic ending to the Kaley Quinn series. I devoured this book in an evening because I couldn’t put it down. I stayed up late to finish because I had to know the ending. The mystery in this one that involved Kaley’s dad and his crimes which made the mystery super interesting to me. The ending had a couple twists that took me by surprise and made the book that much better. This was truly a great finale to a fantastic set. My hubby and I have both enjoyed reading about Kaley and her adventures. In fact as soon as I finished Dead End, he grabbed it to read. So he is definitely a fan as well. Enjoyable way to spend an evening.
I received this book from the publisher and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
Dead End ( Kaely Quinn Profiler #3 )
By: Nancy Mehl
Dead End is book three and the last in the series in Kaely Quinn Profiler series. I
really have enjoyed this series and hate to see it end. I was drawn in at the start

healing.

You will definitely want to read this series in order. I have loved this series from the start, and the ending was perfect for the characters. Nancy Mehl took a tough subject and wrote a very beautiful, touching story. I have read most of her previous series as well, and the Kaely Quinn Profiler series is my new favorite.
I loved the characters individual growth throughout this series. I appreciate how the author portrays God working through these characters.

5 Stars: 5/5 Star Rating
I was hooked on this book from the very first page and it didn’t end! This book was full of suspense, twists, turns, and surprises. I thought I had figured out “who done it” several times and boy, was I surprised! I love when a suspense author surprises me with the ending!
While this book is the third in a series, it could be read as a stand-alone as enough detail is given to fill the reader in on important information needed to fill in the blanks. I do recommend reading the entire series though, as it is one of my absolute favorites!!!! Kaely Quinn is one you won’t likely forget!
