Wow! Book one knocked it out of the park but I don’t have words to describe book 2. I just finished the book and words are just so inadequate right now. It was really that good. Echo really is such an amazing character and easily takes a spot in my top 10 favorite FMC ever and trust me when I say that I really love to read….A LOT! I really can’t wait for this series to be finished so I can devour all the books in one go! Book 3 can’t come fast enough.
OMG I loved this! I thought the first book was awesome but this second book just blew me away! Fast paced and Carrying on from the first book there is non stop Action, danger, mystery, romance, twists, turns, great character development as you see Echo grow and learn more about her powers, and slow anticipation as the relationships between the men grows also. I am so looking forward to the next book!
Dead City is the second book in the Deadworld series by Debbie Cassidy and deals with relationships. This adult adventure takes a day to read and is well worth the time.
This story is an enigma.
Echo is the only guardian left, remade by the arcana, and now a huge burden is resting on her shoulders. However, she is not facing the danger alone, slowly pulling (ok, in some cases rather fast) an interesting bunch of strong, attractive, and very capable men to her. Her allies, protectors, backups… and love interests.
Shifting, changing directions, twisting and turning, jumping at you poor unsuspecting reader. Talk about effective writing – there is so much stuffed into such a relatively small space, so much going on, yet not lacking anything in the world building or providing the explanatory backstory when needed. Romance blossoms in every direction despite the dire circumstances Echo finds herself in, and the raw chemistry projects from the pages onto the reader very easily. Every chapter reveals more of the complexity of the intricate plot, its political schemes and manipulations, long lost secrets resurfacing in often a painful manner. It was a hell of a ride, a whirlwind of emotions and action, with lots of interesting characters, and I can’t wait to read the next book – it cannot come soon enough.
Wow! This new book picks up right where Deadworld ends and it is non-stop from the first page to the last. Danger, fun, romance, mystery, and suspense are tightly wound in this book. The story is fast-moving and exciting from beginning to end. Echo definitely has her hands full in this new installment of the series from finding out more about her origins, to gathering the harvest for the Hive and taking the lost souls to Haven and even preparing for her trip to the sea dwellers. Toss in exposed secrets, broken hearts, new relationships, bonds of friendship, dangerous challenges and possible death…it is all in a day’s work for a solo guardian, right?! This story is utterly fantastic and I cannot wait for Echo’s next adventure.
WOW!!! I was pulled in from the beginning! on the first book to this Fabulous post-apocalyptic paranormal world. Eva is a stunning female MC with a certain vulnerability but a strong backbone. The love interests are coming together and things are starting to heat up a little. Deacon is your typical snarky hard man, Micha is your big man soft heart who loves snuggles, Emory your educated body builder with a dark side. Lyrian is her dragon – well who doesn’t love a dragon? and although there’s nothing here yet I am sure something will develop. They are all scrummy, but I am torn between Deacon and Micha as to which is my favourite but hey this is a why choose book right?
I absolutely love this series of books, the action starts straight away, and the characters are well defined early on and blossom throughout the series, you can feel the tension building between the main characters and each book always leaves you wanting more. The sub plots plus twists and turns keep you surprised and intrigued. Be warned though once you start reading this series you won’t be able to put the books down so be prepared for some binge reading. Debbie Cassidy at her best!!!!!!!!!!!!
