A really good shifter romance.
I really like this series but this one is looking to be my favorite one! Kim is a low level “twinkly” left in charge of the family business while the rest are on a trip to find more inventory for their work and stores. She’s also left to watch over the Foxglove Cave with all of its magical crystals and geodes. That’s where she encounters Ian, a dragon shifter after he fell down an unknown crystal chute to the cave. Ian knows he’s met his mate right away and Kim knows there is definitely a connection between them but she really has no choice but to make him forget his discovery of the cave. But fate isn’t letting her get away with her sending away with no memories.
This is the last book in the Mystic Bay series (for now) and while it can be read as a standalone, it is so much better and easier to follow if it is read in the order it was written.
This is my honest review of a copy given to me by the author.
Not one dragon, but two
Oh wow! How did we get so lucky as to have a story about two dragon couples and their HEAs in one book. Believe me when I tell you that their story is long and fraught with many heartaches and danger, but in true Mystic Bay fashion, these four find a way through to their HEA. Of course, not before making the counsel mad first. I can’t wait to read what this author comes up with next.
I really enjoyed the whole story but I can’t help but prefer the little fox that basically started all the problems or if you look at it like I did she started all the solutions. Kim and Ian are really meant for each other but the humor as they get to their HEA is fun to read. This story also includes another love story that even though is there does not take away from Ian and Kim’s story. I recommend it for lovers of fun and romantic shifter stories.
I happily am leaving a voluntary review of an ARC of this book.

A great finish to a great series. Actually contains two romances.
Sometimes one step can change your life! Ian falls down what appears to be a fox hole and discovers Kim who he claims as his mate. She is guarding the underground cavern and crystals while her family is away. She already has esteem issues and a stranger shows up on her watch. She compels him to forget her. They keep running into each other which makes for a funny read. Will Ian finally make a lasting permanent impression? Will Kim start believing in herself? How will her family feel about her actions? Alister is Ian’s older brother a wounded paraplegic doesn’t let his physical challenges stop him by living a fulfilling life. Raven is an older fairy very self conscious about being older than Alister while still heavily crushing on him. Can she accept that Alister can love her for who she is? Can she let herself love Alister? Delightful stories. I look forward to reading previous stories. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
This is book 8 in the Mystic Bay Series by Isadora Montrose. You don’t have to read the previous stories to understand this story. Characters from the previous stories are also in this. Remember, this is a series about Mystic Bay which isn’t a huge place. What I thought was really great is that there are all types of paranormal beings here and they all mix together. I was pleasantly surprised at the length of this story. This is not a quick read story. It also was the story of two brothers and there mates-to-be.
Kim is a short curvy ‘pocket Venus’ with a very low level of crystal talent. Her family has been the keeper of an underground cavern and the crystals that grow there. While her family is away doing research and she was down in the cavern, a man just shows up. One of the side effects of the cavern is like being drunk. This guy claims her as his mate, lays a kiss on her to rock her back and then she compels him to leave and forget about the cavern and forget about her. She thought that he was just playing with her. She is a lowly twinker, paranormal people who are mortal and non-shifters. The Drakes, the dragon shifters are like the royalty there from way back when, so when a Drake claims a low level twinker, he must be toying with her.
When Ian sees Kim at Robins wedding, he can’t take his eyes off her. He basically stalks her the entire reception until he catches her outside the restrooms. He then again claims her as his mate. She again compels him to forget about her. When he walks into her shop about the geodes that Trickie keeps giving him, he realizes that he has been with her before when he claims her again.
Ian has already lost his mate. He has always believed that you only get one mate per lifetime and he has lost his. He has finally gotten to the point that he can live with the pain and loss. He goes to visit his brother Alister. He was supposed to walk from his cabin to Alister’s cabin when he falls into a hole and then a cavern. He comes across a beautiful woman and he claims her as his mate and kisses her. He keeps seeing her and realizes that she is his mate. There is one drawback. With dragon shifters, they can only have children with their mate if the mate is a dragoness. They can only turn their mate if she is a virgin. In today’s times, it is hard to find virgins, but finding a mate is more important.
Ian and Kim have some issues going on with her tallent going from barely existant to high level and how to deal with it and with saving the cavern and caves.
This story also includes the love story of Alister and Raven. Alister is Ian’s older brother. He was a Marine, but he lost his legs in Afganastan. He still functions as though he never lost his legs. He has several wheelchairs, a specialized van and is an amazing cook. When he shifts, the only problem he has is landing, being he has stumps for his back legs. Raven is a fairy and has been fighting their attraction for a long time because she is older, like a lot older. Fairies are ageless. She turns into a raven, and lives in a tree. A huge tree. She also does magic, some black magic. She wants to find a way to brake the dragon curse about their mates having to be a virgin to be turned so they can have children. She loves Alister and wants him to be able to have children when he finds his mate after their love affair dies away. She doesn’t believe that she is his mate.
I really like how this whole town/island has all types of paranormal and they get alone. The characters are very well written and distinctive. The story line was fantastic. It really makes me want to read the previous books to see how the other characters in the story found their true loves.

This author never fails to give a great story, and this one was no exception. The characters were lovable and so well developed. The story was beautifully written and flowed exceptionally well. It was exciting, emotional, and seriously funny at times; she actually made me feel the story and allowed to me get lost in it. I absolutely just loved it.

Loved it. He accidentally falls into another place that is fascinating. He meets her but she takes his memories, or so she thinks and returns him. But he remembers and things get exciting, emotional, suspenseful and so much more. I loved how well the characters flowed so well with the story. It is an attention grabber and very enjoyable to read. I received a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
Ian falls down a foxhole emerges into a cave where he meets his mate.
Dragon shifter Ian Drake was watch a gray fox kit when he takes a step forward and falls down a foxhole to emerge into a strange forested underground cave. I can’t help but laugh at Kim and Ian’s story. Ian is always claiming Kim by right of capture every time they meet “for the first time” and Kim is always using her skills to make him forget, thrice. And for every claiming, Ian is always getting his foot in his mouth and offended her people. Gratefully, on the last ‘meeting’, something shifted and everything has been set to right in their world.

It was amusing how Kim didn’t realise the power she had over Ian, and how he had such a jaundiced view he didn’t know up from down. Even the reader will enjoy this story, but not know what is really going on until the end. At least the foxes knew what was happening. Mesmerising book ( no pun intended).

Another captivating read in the ‘Mystic Bay’ series. It is a roller coaster of fun, excitement, humour, witty banter, ups and downs, twists and turns, and emotions. Loveable characters; the chemistry between them is hot, potent, and off the charts. An enjoyable read guaranteed to leave you wanting more. Definitely recommended!

Come Together…..
It’s a given in Mystic Bay that a hunter and a sensitive shouldn’t mix, although there have been a few that have already… Now a dragon and a Twinklie, oops a Geotalent that’s the ultimate nono!
Kim Field has always been the odd one out since her talents are so limited, she just can’t find her crystal. The only one in a family of strong crystal tuners….Little does she know that she is bound for even bigger and stronger talents than anyone has ever seen….All she needs is a dose of some good loving from Ian Drake.
Dragon Ian Drake lost his mate years ago to a freak accident and he finally gets out of the funk that put him in and truly believes he will never get a second chance at a mate. When he falls through a hole and gets one look at Kim, he doesn’t even think before he leaps, but really fate a twinklie they like to play mind tricks?? Oh well if that was what fate sent him, who was he to argue…..He’d make her fit to him one way or the other no tricks can get to him anyway, or can they?
In the meantime, a lot is going on in Mystic Bay…..Robin and Gordon finally tie the knot after so many years of bringing mates together and Ian’s big brother Al finally lets Raven know of his desires for her. And all is well in Mystic Bay until the next time…who will it be next time?
This is the 8th book in the series and is another fantastic read I have read and enjoyed all these books and Ian and Kim’s story did not disappoint the storyline was good and pulled me right in with plenty going one to keep me hooked and reading right until the very end, A must read series for all shifter fans.
Funny, quirky, and sweet with twist and turns that make Dazzled by a Dragon a great story. Ian and Kim were such a great pairing and had great chemistry, she just needed to believe that she was his mate and well him blackmailing her into marriage.

The snark in this one is on in full force & it leaves you chuckling. Once more misconceptions plague our star crossed mates. Kim & Ian have a lot to overcome, lot’s of negative energy, family prejudice & without the help of some rascally foxes, they might not have made it, nor the town for that matter.
Ian Drake, dragon, and widower was part of a clan that only summered on West Haven, but he had been working as an architect on the island for several years. His brother Alister lived here. Not quite locals. Not quite summer people.
Kim Field , a geotalent had a talent for tuning and one for selling rocks, for those with psychic talents. Her clan had been harvesting stones here for generations.
Kim felt she lacked any special affinity for any particular stone. Her family believed it, as well. She could tune stones and crystals —so long as they were not too powerful.
Mystic Bay was home to sensitives of all stripes from large furries to fairies. It had been founded as a refuge for persons of paranormal talents. Despite this, in Mystic Bay geotalents got no respect. Other sensitives referred to them as twinklies, and despised them for earning a living by exploiting their talents.
Even though a torrid dream relationship is developing between Kim and Ian they have a primary obstacle to surmount, while awake- As one character asked , doubtfully, “You think a dragon and a geotalent can make a go of it?” The answer given,“With a little help.”
I love this series with its quirky characters, realistic dialog, and the author’s skill that brings humor, sexy times, and believable emotions, tying up this gift bundle of enjoyment.
