Read this book in the matter of 2 days. Really loved the story line and build up with the story line. Kept you wondering what was going to happen next. Starting to read book 2.
An EMP attack on the US would be extremely scary. This is not the first book I’ve read on this subject. It does have some unexpected twists that make it quite interesting to read. Enjoy!
I enjoyed the premise and the storyline, characters were introduced well and easy to identify with. I found myself getting anxious when I realized that I was nearly finished with the book and that the end was near. The only negative was that it felt short and I wanted more. Check it out.
Good read. Looking forward to reading other books in the series.
good short read
I enjoyed all of the books in this series. The characters were interesting and better than average editing. Each book in this series held my interest was and each one was an easy read. I would definitely but more books by this author!
I loved it!
This is a fairly fast read, kept my attention. It is, however, a typical post apocalyptic novel. It deals more with how people will actually react than a dream world of lovely nice people. Might be a good primer for a prepper!
This book was a thought provoking glimpse into the possibility of life after an EMP, an electromagnetic pulse, which destroys all electricity dependent objects. How long could I live without lights, refrigeration, transportation, the ability to communicate, etc.? What kind of survival skills would I need? How would I protect my family and myself as desperate people sought the food and supplies to live and looting began? This book kept my attention and had me reading through the night.
This book was full of realistic characters. It was entertaining from page one. This action packed book kept me engaged till the end.
This book kept me up, to hard to put down.
it is a good read, entertaining
Keeps you wondering what is coming next
I just finished this book this morning. It’s the first “end of civilization” book I’ve read, and I probably will read others. It made one realize how dangerous large urban areas could become and gives many graphic descriptions of what can happen to those who fail to prepare for disasters that come unexpectedly. I liked that we were given access to Elliott’s thoughts and feelings–even though it was late in the story. There could have been much more of that to round out the other characters and experience the story with them too. It seemed to take a long time for the story to”get going” and I’m glad I stuck with it. All in all, I found the story cautionary in a positive way and definitely recommend it.
interesting
