She Was A Hardened Survivor Who Had Learned Not To Trust Humans
Life had never been easy for Liora Day – a half-human, half “mess-with-her-and-you’ll-die” Damaclan. She had been thrown onto a rough path at a very early age, and she didn’t get along with others. That all changes when she is broken out of a cage by Devren, a young captain of the SS Kratos. He shows her that not all humans are … all humans are heartless.
˃˃˃ He Was Different, And He Offered Her The Chance For Adventure
When the Kratos is sent on a mission to rescue fallen surveyors from the Revolutionaries faction, Liora must decide whether she will follow her Damaclan instincts, or trust Devren’s dark eyes and captivating smile and embark on an adventure unlike anything she has ever experienced.
“Wow! I’m hooked. I had a hard time putting this book down. . . Luckily I have the whole series so I was able to jump right into the next book. The writing is fantastic, the story believable, and the characters are just so fascinating and I just want to know what’s next!” ~ Amazon Reviewer

Adventurous story
An interesting and unique main character. Not sure the universe makes a lot of sense but willing to keep reading the series
I immediately ordered the next in the series!
I like SciFi and strong female characters. Good read
Daybreak was entertaining. It is more about the emotional relationships between the characters than it is about the Doomsday McGuffin, and I found that refreshing. However, most of the characters are short-hand sketches, not yet real people. The personal-stakes subplot seemed glued onto the end of the story, but it promises future emotionally stimulating drama, as cliche as it will be. The framework of the world is nothing new to fans of space opera and science fiction, but it does show imagination.
Daybreak wouldn’t fit on my (virtual) shelf next to 2001 or Lensman, but The Girl From The Stars will find good company with Brak the Barbarian.
Need next books on Nook
wow. can’t say it enough. going to buy the rest soon.
If you liked StarTrek and StarWars, you’ll like DayBreak, and its sequels. With some love-hate relationships, creatures who are weird in appearance and psychotic in personality, a heroine with nine lives and a bent to kill and save the “macrogosm’s” races, this is an implausible, Rambo-like, action-packed read.
A good read!
Author kept my interest throughout the story and left me wanting more. I purchased the next in series immediately.
Creative story with very interesting characters. I had a hard time putting this one down.
Wow. This character kicks butt. She keeps trying to leave and ends up saving the others. She reminds me of River in Firefly. Trust comes hard to her because she is judged by her species. But her human side tempers the blood thirsty nature of her alien mother. The action is quick and brutal. Foes become allies. Giant alien monsters eating everyone-so cool. Twists and turns, plots within the story take abrupt, surprising directions. I am glad this is a series. Can’t wait to read more.
Good read
Good space western in the family of Star Wars and Star Trek and Clint Eastwood movies. A group of nicely drawn characters to hold your attention through the series.
Somewhat interesting, but couldn’t hold my attention. Characters a bit confused at times.
Loved reading this book.
Entertaining series
I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment of this series. It has everything I like in a sci-fi adventure. Unfortunately, only the first of five book are available on BookBub. I
A wonderful distraction, time spent away from everyday life. Looking forward to part two.
A quick Si-Fi read when you want some escapist entertainment.
