She Was A Hardened Survivor Who Had Learned Not To Trust Humans
Life had never been easy for Liora Day – a half-human, half “mess-with-her-and-you’ll-die” Damaclan. She had been thrown onto a rough path at a very early age, and she didn’t get along with others. That all changes when she is broken out of a cage by Devren, a young captain of the SS Kratos. He shows her that not all humans are … all humans are heartless.
˃˃˃ He Was Different, And He Offered Her The Chance For Adventure
When the Kratos is sent on a mission to rescue fallen surveyors from the Revolutionaries faction, Liora must decide whether she will follow her Damaclan instincts, or trust Devren’s dark eyes and captivating smile and embark on an adventure unlike anything she has ever experienced.

A fun space opera.
I liked how the book build up to the action. However, if I had known that is was not a stand alone story, I would not have started the book.
Well written. Wondering what would happen next. Made you want to continue with the story. Handy person to have as a friend but not an enemy.
The only downside to this book is the follow on books in the series are not available on B&N Nook.
Fantastic……read the entire series.
I’m sorry, I was only able to get to 38%/Chapter 8 before giving up. This was like a group of high school kids having a party in space. Or something like that. Every single character acted very immature, timid and slightly ignorant.
Loved the entire series
Fresh interesting storyline. Good pacing kept me reading. I’d recommend this book.
Unique futuristic
Great space novel
Excellent read, great lead character with a haunting past. I definitely want to follow this series.
unrealistic timeframes. Stopped reading when their ship lifted “into the air” from a barren asteroid.
Classic sci-fi! A wonderful group of heroes against some really bad guys!
This is a critique of Girl From The Stars books 1 – 5. When I was in high school an English teacher graded our compositions based on how many words we wrote. The author of Girl From The Stars must have garnered the highest grade this English teacher ever bestowed. Subsequent books in the series contained pages and pages of recollected past conversations. Paragraphs from one book to another were repeated, not too well disguised, with creative variations. The five books could have been two if these techniques were not employed.
Three stars because a quickly recognizable outline of the basic plot was easy to surmise. The main characters had identifiable personalities. The fighting capabilities of the main character Liora were incredible and well supported by her training as a youngster and her clan heritage. Interestingly that heritage was later discredited. Liora could have been a cat because more than one of her lives was lost during portions of the ubiquitous fighting sequences. Five books in the series that might have been two if written more economically. Three stars is a little generous.
I like the action
An enjoyable read. Will follow the series.
Just OK
Very enjoyable read with interesting characters.
I always enjoy a kick-ass female lead. The ending left me with hope that the rest of Liora’s life would be better than the beginning.
This is a great series. Kept me riveted
