She Was A Hardened Survivor Who Had Learned Not To Trust Humans
Life had never been easy for Liora Day – a half-human, half “mess-with-her-and-you’ll-die” Damaclan. She had been thrown onto a rough path at a very early age, and she didn’t get along with others. That all changes when she is broken out of a cage by Devren, a young captain of the SS Kratos. He shows her that not all humans are … all humans are heartless.
˃˃˃ He Was Different, And He Offered Her The Chance For Adventure
When the Kratos is sent on a mission to rescue fallen surveyors from the Revolutionaries faction, Liora must decide whether she will follow her Damaclan instincts, or trust Devren’s dark eyes and captivating smile and embark on an adventure unlike anything she has ever experienced.

good read
Interesting characters with interesting twists and turns in a very foreign, outer worldly setting.
Great build for a series.
The only negative I have is that it’s definitely a cliff hanger. You need to read the next book in the series since this book end a bit abruptly.
I like the originality and main character.
Really liked this book , lots of action.
I thought the story came alive with good characters and a great story.
Great book! I am currently reading the fourth book of the series. The heroine and heroes in the book drew me in immediately.
Good sci fi read for young readers who love the genre. Liora has been a captive on board a space faring zoo. Set free by coalition forces she finds herself in a situation that could put her right back in the zoo. Liora is half breed, dad from earth, mom damaclan, a warrior race. Interesting how she finds herself fighting for those who freed her and then wanting to run away.
Good young reader as ther is no sex nor gory descriptions of bodies being ripped apart.
You will probably want to get the boxed set to see what happens.
This world is as entertaining as Sookie Stackhoue with as many interesting characters. I have read all three volumes and they were all entertaining.
Where’s the next book?
Really great story! You will have to read the sequels to find out what how the story ends, though, because this ends in a cliff-hanger.
a good read…it’s apparently the 1st in a series, and the ending shows it
Another of the few books that coerced me into buying the next one! Good read.
Not a review. So many typos, misspellings, and bad grammar were distracting.
I loved this book! It kept up a fast pace with the action and the characters were nicely developed as the book went along. I loved that a woman was a strong main character.
I enjoyed this book it had lots of action and enough loose ends to pull you into the next issue.
Wow! I thought science fiction had gone downhill until I read this book. It’s fantastic! The world-building is unforgettable.
Loved this book
Main character seemed a bit undefined
but it was entertaining.
