Unusual as are all of her books. Good!
Really like all the books in this series. I don’t think the TV show did it justice. Looking forward to more installments.
I liked this book but it seemed off-balance. Some characters were far more developed than others.
Loved this and all her books
Supernatural yet down to earth characters. How does that work? Read it for yourself and you’ll find yourself thinking a vacation in Midnight is just what you need–
I love this series . I hope Ms Harris plans to write more that the 2 books she has so far. I have been getting my hit watching the TV show but I do so love the read! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy book!
Midnight and its interesting residents make any of this series worth reading.
The Harris books set in Midnight, Texas, have what the Sookie Stackhouse novels didn’t: moral consequences. Along with wonderful characters and a terrific plot, people face the consequences of their actions. I liked Sookie, but I like the people in Midnight better.
To my mind a much better series than her Sookie Stackhouse series. A trilogy that I am glad I read before watching the TV series. I liked the TV version but the books are better. Take the time to read them (in order!) before the new TV season starts.
Charlene Harris develops colorful, interesting characters. This book is no exception!
Well written, easy to visualize.
Love these characters. Enjoying the television show based on books also.
I decided to read this book because I fell in love with the TV series this summer. I really enjoyed reading it and I look forward to reading other books in the series
It was fun
I love the Midnight Texas series
I enjoy most of what Charlaine Harris writes. I’m enjoying this series, because it includes minor characters from several of her other series as main characters. I like how the town sticks together to protect themselves.
Much better than her sookie series
I like Charlaine Harris, her paranormal books are entertaining with quirky characters both human and not. This one is interesting as it’s in a near ghost town in the West with only a handful of town’s people but each is memorable in their own way. Each book in this series deepens your understanding of each character and their interactions and sets up a threat to the residents of the town which usually brings them together to keep the town as it is. Some of the characters from the Sookie Stackhouse books will show up here, and they fit right in. It’s a very different kind of book for her in many ways yet still a paranormal mystery. I like them.
I love this series. Want more.
It’s a reread..and I’ve done it. Well written and entertaining.
