Another great series by this author!
Great read
Charlaine Harris always writes fantastic stories. I loved this one too!!!
I’ve seen the tv show. I would love more books about Midnight Texas. I would definitely buyer them.
I enjoy Charlaine Harris’ writing very much and always search for more stories written by her. I am not usually a fan of fantasy, but Harris makes it work so well in telling stories of human relationships.
Ooohhh!!! Things are getting interesting with the new additions to the community as well as the discovery of some of the citizens true natures. I’m bummed that this is only a trilogy because the author has chosen to turn the series into a tv show just like she did with the Sookie Stackhouse series.
As a huge Sookie Stackhouse fan, I was excited when Harris turned the series into the True Blood HBO show and I loved the show almost as much as the books. However, as is often the case, the books were better than the show. The fact that Harris has allowed the CW to turn this series into a show is kind of disappointing. The CW??? SERIOUSLY??? Yeah, I won’t be watching the show anytime soon, if ever.
I’m only sorry that Charlaine appears to have stopped the Midnight world at a trilogy.
I could not put this down! Another quirky, almost-real-world story from Ms. Harris
Everything I have read from Charlaine Harris has been good. Love the Midnight series and the characters in the town. Looking forward to more in the series. Highly recommend Ms. Harris’ books.
Love the characters in Midnight. This book doesn’t let you down. Definitely a good read.
I love Charlaine Harris’ writing. So much fun to read.
I enjoyed this whole series, I like writing alot
Loved it!!!
Day Shift, the second installment in the Midnight, Texas series, picks up 5 months after Midnight Crossroad ended. The series features an eclectic group of misfits who call Midnight home. There is touch psychic Manfred Bernardo who is still fairly new to town; witch Fiji Cavanaugh and her talking cat Mr. Snuggly; pawn shop owner Bobo Winthrop; Teacher and Madonna Reed; gay couple Joe Strong and Chuy Villegas; Reverend Emilio Sheehan, Olivia Charity, and vampire Lemuel Bridger who isn’t really a factor in this story.

LOVE Charlaine Harris!
Harris has a rare talent for taking the things we see daily and turning them aslant. So small town life, but populated with characters whose unusual abilities and backgrounds all intermingle, yet still we have small town life: the one restaurant, the one gas station, the one shop, the one manicure place, see? On the surface, it would seem we know all there is to know, but the acts and abilities of these characters reveal the plot.
I found this book to be unpredictable, with colorful characters who kept the story very interesting. From the beginning to the end of the book, it was hard to put down and go to bed on time. I’m waiting for her next book to keep me entertained.
Love Charlaine Harris and this series!
Enjoyed the series!
Charlaine Harris never fails to entertain!
