Her innocence clung to the demons inside my body, making every muscle tighten and forcing me to clench my fists.I involuntarily shivered as my body tried to purge itself of these new sensations. ~~~I was walking out on my life, ready to move on, but before I could it all changed in an instant.Guilt had me feeling responsible. My demons had me feeling desperate.I tried to take my life. I failed.… demons had me feeling desperate.
I tried to take my life. I failed.
They sent me to a mental ward.
Sixty days.
Thirty-one days in, they put me in a new visiting program. I didn’t give a shit; no one was going to reach. I was too far gone.
Then I saw her.

The church was my life, one that was sheltered and protected from the real world.
Then I found disturbing documents that had no place in my father’s office.
My world was rocked.
I needed answers. There was one person who could give them to me.
I had thirty days to get the answers from him.
The plan was simple.
Then I saw him.

Day 31 by Anthony Dwayne was absolutely amazing. I was a little hesitant on reading this book since it briefly mentions topics of mental health and suicide – stories that I tend to shy away from. With that being said, I was pleased in the direction that Kane had taken in writing these complex characters. This story about Callen and Noelle was entertaining and full of twists. As the story progressed, I may have been thinking I knew where it was going, but Kane’s writing style had me stopping and thinking that I could be wrong. Needless to say, I was glued to the kindle and couldn’t put the book down. The book has a wonderful love story with a HEA, but also has the right mixed of erotica that keeps you wanting more.
I loved this book! It took me a while to get to it, but so glad I finally did. The author did a fantastic job, weaving the intricate and sensitive storyline of mental health and suicide, in with the romance. Books with these kinds of subject matter draw me in for some reason. I loved the relationship between Callen and Noelle, the chemistry and sexual tension between them was strong, and there were so many different emotions playing throughout. While reading, I was wondering, as things went on, about what brought them together. The mystery of this kept me glued to my kindle. I highly recommend this book.
Loved this book! Really impressed how Kane Caldwell took sensitive issues and wrote an emotional yet sweet book, Noelle was exactly what Cal needed.
Kane Caldwell has done it again!! I think it’s safe to say that I am addicted to Kane Caldwell and his smokin hot books!!!
This book is so much more than smokin hot sex, however (I’ll get to that). This is a story that is full of rawness and grit with betrayals and twists I didn’t see coming. Callen is a broken man and is in the process of his healing when he is assigned a “visitor” by his doctor to help facilitate the healing process. He was 31 days into his program and wanted to get the hell out!!On Day 31, in walks the sweet and beautiful (and innocent) Noelle. The attraction is instantaneous and hits them both like a brick wall. But both of them have secrets. I just loved this girl!! For someone innocent, she really wasn’t. She was a ball of fire, and knew exactly what she wanted and how to get it from Callen. We also feel Noelle’s struggle and fear of revealing what she knows and what the outcome will be throughout the story and Kane is able to take us into the dark mind of Callen and allows us to feel his pain and struggles and to really root for him to move on, as his brother, parent’s and Noelle help him. I will say about the sex, that it is off the chains HOT!!! Callen could be gentle and rough at the same time!!! This book deals with issues of infidelity, mental illness and suicide and Kane handled them all beautifully. We also see some references in this story to the characters of Kane’s Edge Series which I loved how he wove them into this story, as well as, introducing us to Callen’s brother who I’m sure could have his own interesting story to tell. The only thing I would say about the book is that I felt that end was a little rushed but it was a well paced story overall and a great read!!
