The Arizona Vengeance is killing it on the ice. But one player can’t seem to keep his eye on the puck—all thanks to the woman he just married to save her life. “Find your next hockey hero in Sawyer Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series.”—New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis My name is Dax Monahan and hockey is my passion. And if you want to succeed in this sport you have to bust your ass … you want to succeed in this sport you have to bust your ass 24/7. I’ve never had a hard time focusing on my career, but when my past comes knocking, no amount of training can prepare me for what lies on the other side of the door.
Regan Miles was always like a sister to me. When a shared tragedy brings us face to face after several years, I’m shocked to see just how much she’s changed. Gone is the shy, awkward little girl that always used to chase me and her brother around. Instead, I’m faced with a gorgeous woman who makes it damn hard to concentrate on anything but her.
Turns out, she’s in trouble, and the only way out is to get married.
I surprise myself when I tell her to marry me. Order her, actually. And most shocking of all, she doesn’t even hesitate before saying yes.
So it’s settled. We’re getting hitched and she’s moving to Arizona with me. All platonic, of course.
The catch?
I never knew I’d fall so hard for my best friend’s little sister.

The marriage of convenience and best friends sibling tropes are two of my favorites when done well and Sawyer Bennet does then both very well in Dax and Reagan’s story. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had been in my TBR for a while and after trying and being disappointed in a couple of new authors I decided to go with what I knew and read one of Sawyers books, no disappointment.
Sweet story, love found.
Outstanding book. Great characters.
Very swoon worthy.
Good but not as good as other books by this author. I got tired of the main female character using her illness as a means to do stupid things, also got tired of her whining about it. Other than that, I liked the hero and his sister and the rest of the book was fine.
Fun plot and easy read. Definitely worth the time.
One player, Dax, cannot seem to keep his eye on the puck, however. That is thanks to the woman he just married to save her life. Regan was always like a sister to Dax. When a shared tragedy brings them face to face, Dax is surprised to see how much she has changed. Gone is the shy, awkward little girl who always used to chase Dax and her brother around. Instead, he sees a gorgeous wo man who makes it hard to concentrate on anything but her. – Dax is an alpha male who is a little too alpha sometimes. Regan is sort of an innocent who has sustained a lot of loss. I admired her strength and positive attitude. They both liked hockey and sex. The story was boring to me.
Not a hockey fan but love this series and this author!
Dax was Pretty cool, the book had a lot of twists and turns. Definitely will hold your attention.
One of the best ways to inform readers of a national problem is a fun, fictional story like this where an ordinary person can’t survive without health insurance.
I really love all of this authors books. I can’t put them down once I start and am sad when I finish. Very well written-great character development in all of the books I have read. I like how she weaves the previous characters through the books to continue their stories.Always looking forward to the next one.
It’s was very well written; love the story line
I just wanted more character development. Not a bad story, just okay.
Heartwarming story of shared loss and love that brings two people together.
Dax melted my heart. There’s just something about his fierce protectiveness over Regan that warms my soul. They’ve known each other her whole life. They’ve been connected for so long but the age difference has always meant Dax looked at her as a little sister. Then one day a horrible tragedy reunites them. Dax sees she’s in trouble and will stop at nothing to get her out of it. This includes marrying her and moving her in with him.
Regan is all grown up but heartbroken over the tragedy. Now that she’s sharing a home with Dax will their age difference no longer matter? Will they share a bed as well as a home? Can Dax really get her out of trouble? All the answers will be yours if you jump into this hockey series. I suggest starting from book 1 because there’s quite a bit of cross over. These books are so remarkable you don’t have to be a hockey fanatic to read them. Trust me, I don’t even watch sports and I can’t get enough of this hockey series.
Very sweet story
Great build up of the relationship, which starts with friendship and slowly develops from there. Nice characters to get to know, conveying a real sense of home.
Loved Dax and Regan’s story !
I’ve enjoyed the entire series!
Awe I loved this modern day marriage of convenience story, despite the reason why. It was actually really sweet.
Aiden and Virginia did a great job narrating.
