The Arizona Vengeance is killing it on the ice. But one player can’t seem to keep his eye on the puck—all thanks to the woman he just married to save her life. “Find your next hockey hero in Sawyer Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series.”—New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis My name is Dax Monahan and hockey is my passion. And if you want to succeed in this sport you have to bust your ass … you want to succeed in this sport you have to bust your ass 24/7. I’ve never had a hard time focusing on my career, but when my past comes knocking, no amount of training can prepare me for what lies on the other side of the door.
Regan Miles was always like a sister to me. When a shared tragedy brings us face to face after several years, I’m shocked to see just how much she’s changed. Gone is the shy, awkward little girl that always used to chase me and her brother around. Instead, I’m faced with a gorgeous woman who makes it damn hard to concentrate on anything but her.
Turns out, she’s in trouble, and the only way out is to get married.
I surprise myself when I tell her to marry me. Order her, actually. And most shocking of all, she doesn’t even hesitate before saying yes.
So it’s settled. We’re getting hitched and she’s moving to Arizona with me. All platonic, of course.
The catch?
I never knew I’d fall so hard for my best friend’s little sister.

Dax and Regan are childhood friends who marry in order to get a life saving drug. All bets are off as they navigate their way thru a undeniable attraction. Sweet and sexy with a tug on your heartstrings, these incredible characters and their journey is one terrific story!
This series just keeps getting better and better! Leaving off at the end of the last book, Dax found out his best friend was dead due to a mugging, and rushed to meet up with Regan, said dead best friend’s sister and only living relative. On top of dealing with her brother’s death, due to a health condition, she has left him broke and is now unsure how she will continue treatment. In steps Dax, who after finding this out decides the best way to resolve it all is to get married. Of course there is attraction to each other on both sides, and much of the book is the two dealing with those feelings in combination with how Regan’s brother would feel about the two of them had he been alive. The two navigate through misunderstandings and other issues, but the two work together to break through on top. Per usual, I loved the storyline and the flow of the book, but something I also love about Sawyer’s writing is that within these books she touches on the characters of the previous books, letting their stories continue, while also introducing us to characters that will be the subject of future books, giving us familiarity so the readers then can’t wait for those books to be released. She’s a genius, and of course I can’t wait for Tracker’s book after getting to know a surface story for him from the previous books!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Dax Monahan & Regan Miles are the newest couple that comes out of The Arizona Vengeance Series and what a couple they are. Dax & Regan go back a long way there families were there for each other when tragedy struck the Miles Family the Monaghan’s were there for them, now Dax is going to be there for whatever Regan needs.
Stepping up is not even a second thought when Dax does what needs to be done where Regan is concerned but can they can keep it as just helping, or will feelings come into play from just friends to more. You will watch an incredible couple navigate through it all and love taking the journey with them to see if they can come to find that HEA they both deserve.
SPECTACULAR!!! OH MY what to say about this book without giving anything away. First, you cannot just pick this book up and start this series… it runs concurrent with the previous books; meaning, the story takes place at the same time. You will totally be lost if you haven’t read Bishop, Erik and Legend.
Now, don’t get me wrong here, I love Sawyer Bennett with all my heart, but Dax brought it to a whole new level. The angst, love, friendship, and family brought me to choked up tears at points, and had me laughing at others.
It took me approximately 5 total hours to read this from cover to end, I skipped the excerpt of Tacker at the end.
If I could give this more than 5 stars, I totally would!!!
The stories and the characters in this series just keep getting better and better. Not too much ice action in Dax, but plenty of behind the scenes moments with the team, and the management. Regan Miles is sister to deceased hockey player Lance, who was best friends with Dax. Lance’s murder is still in the forefront of both Dax and Regan’s mind, but when Dax discovers Lance has been keeping rather a big secret from him, he doesn’t begrudge him, he just steps up and takes his place in becoming Regan’s protector and saviour. A wonderful friends to lovers story with some truly heartfelt moments, wonderful writing and lovely characters. Dax is confident and sexy with just the right amount of alpha, Regan is independent and strong willed, but she’s not stupid, she knows when to accept help, and let’s face it, she needs all the help she can get. Luckily Dax is in a position to help, after all she is family. A little drama, a lot of romance and another hockey hunk leaves singledom. I can’t wait to see what else Sawyer has in store for us, I’m nowhere near finished with Arizona Vengeance. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.
Dax is another book in the Arizona Vengeance Series. Dax, a hockey player, steps up to help his deceased best friend’s sister. After her brother’s death, Regan is left without medical insurance for her chronic disease. In comes Dax, offering to marry her. He is sensitive with a heart of gold. I love the camaraderie of the hockey team, how they are always looking out for each other. Very heartwarming story.
Review copy was received for a honest opinion.
Sawyer has left me speechless once again! This time she’s taken me to a world full of emotions and sentiment! I think I’ve fallen in love with Dax!! Kindness turns to love which made me love him so much more! A heartfelt story that will pull on your heartstrings and have you cheering at the same time!! Phenomenal book!! Phenomenal story line!! A definite must read!!
I am always excited to get a hockey-themed book from Sawyer. The storylines are compelling and keep you entertained throughout the book. I can tell there has been some research done during these books both with hockey and the other “stuff” that Sawyer throws your way. Dax and Regan are so enjoyable. The back storyline with Tacker and the things that he and his team are going through remind me of some real-life happenings on one of the NHL teams this past season. You are reminded that even though these guys are professionals, they can’t just turn off their feelings very well. This is part of a series, and quite honestly I feel you should read the other books so you can totally understand each character. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. Not much angst (thank goodness).
