Now what book do I need to choose next by you Jewel E Ann???
(Not a standalone.)
“If there were only one path to you, I’d take the heartache, the deaths, the loss, the pain… the insanity. I’d spend an eternity in Hell for one single breath with you.”
I don’t know what to do… Dawn of Forever gave me the biggest hangover. So, I would like to give the biggest thank you to Jewel E Ann! This series… this journey… was absolutely amazing!
Like the previous books, the story goes back and forth from the present and the past. The questions around the Knights and Days are all answered. We also get to see Luke’s loving family again.
I’m so sad this series is over. I fell in love with everyone in the book. Even the retired neighbors embracing sex toys. I’m going to miss everyone. I wonder what Jewel E Ann is cooking up next, and I can’t wait to read more from her.
All the questions have been answered, and you will NOT be disappointed. Grab your tissues, this book has all the feels. This series is so good, and I’m still not even sure what I read. I said it before in a review, but these characters, their story, it will stick with you for a lifetime!
“Words cut. Emotions bled as tears.”
AMAZING!!!!!
This series is absolutely amazing! From the most incredible characters that will burrow into your heart, to the intense, overwhelming nonstop emotions, this story will claim your heart.
Jewel E. Ann writes with such passion and heart and it bleeds into her words. You feel EVERYTHING each character goes through and feels. I laughed, I cried, I loved.
“Love is forever, yet waits for no one.”
The immense amount of love throughout this series takes your breath away. Jessica and Luke’s honesty and vulnerability is beautiful. They share a bond and love like no other. Their relationship is incredible. I loved seeing Jackson’s feelings evolve. He and Ryn helped each other in so many ways and their banter and love is beautiful.
A fantastic end to an amazing series! A journey of epic love!
“In a life filled with monsters, their love was a survivor.”
I am completely in awe of Jewel E. Ann’s writing. Her mind is a master piece. My mind is blown away with the story I’ve just finished. It was so well thought out, emotional, smart, and full of tearful but strong moments. I feel like there aren’t enough words to describe this book. This WHOLE series is amazing. My heart dropped out of my stomach multiple times throughout this book. My heart hit the ground and was shattered. How she put my heart back together was pure magic. The writing is so creative and fluid. It brings you to your knees. It’s all encompassing.
We were given a lot of stories and the way she wove them all together was downright amazing.

What can I say? I absolutely Adored this series and these characters! They will be in my heart as cherished memories of one of my favorite series from one of my favorite Authors!
OMG this book! Total insanity!!! What a wild and emotional ride. I’m in deep with these characters. I can’t even imagine how this story will end. I’d like to put poor Jillian into a time machine but somehow I doubt this story will have that twist lol. My heart is pounding through my chest, so I’m moving immediately to Book 2!
Update: this series is one of my top favorites. I still think about the characters all the time. I mean, Dr. Jones…. swoon!! I just absolutely loved these books. They are filled with suspense, mystery, love, laughter, and heartbreak. I HIGHLY recommend this series!
6 “contumacious” stars
I don’t even know how to express how much I love this story! At times it absolutely destroyed me with a one-two punch to the gut. Other times I was swooning and falling in love with Luke. Then my heart was breaking right along with Jillian and AJ, before Jackson completely charmed my socks off!!
“This is where it all began. This is where you ruined me for every other woman. I think I loved you before I ever knew you because it’s never felt like a choice for me. It’s just something as certain as the change of the seasons, the tilt of the earth, the dawn welcoming a new day.”
Every mystery that I solved led me to another secret to uncover. Every time that I was lulled into believing this was a gorgeous romantic story things would turn dark and suspenseful! I was always on the edge of my seat waiting for the next bend in the road.
“Sometimes we weather the storm, mourn the casualties, and find the sun on the horizon has never been brighter. I’m blinded by mine, and I’m certain for the rest of my life it—she—will leave me breathless.”
I fell in love with the story, the characters, the words, the feelings and I didn’t want it to ever end.
“There were never enough stars in the sky to count how many times a day he fell in love with her.”
Dawn of Forever is the conclusion to the Jack and Jill series. It picks up right where book 2 left off. This final installment continues the emotional roller coaster ride. In true Jewel fashion this book has all the feels. I laughed a lot, cried, fell in love and made new friends. A must read!
With the Jack and Jill series, author Jewel E. Ann has become one of my favorite writers. I’ve loved her work before, but this? This book is everything. For most of the three books my heart was in a near-constant state of fibrillation. Every now and then she wrap a bandage around the cracks, but then tear it off again. The characters are multidimensional and beautifully drawn, even the evil ones. The scenes effortlessly moved from dark to light, and there were many times I laughed out loud. One of the things I find most important in a book is how the characters develop and change. I want to see that transformation and understand how or why it takes place. Jewel has mastered this art. There are few books I can say this about, but this is a series I will read again, and maybe even again once more.
The ultimate compliment I believe is When a person forgets to give one. It’s a stunned state of fandom. A speechless trance of disbelief. A haze of last chapter’s hangover that still seems to linger in my mind. This is exactly where I am at after I finished the last book in the series.
A complex story about a simplest of notion called LOVE. Jewel’s take on love and it’s treatment is utterly unique and breathtakingly beautiful
“love is reckless because true emotions are immune to Logic the most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic”
It takes me twice the time to read any of Jewel’s books, because every chapter, every page I need to stop to highlight the lines, passages, paragraphs. She creates a new vocabulary, new language and it just rushes at you like a river swollen with first rains after a drought. I swear i can feel my soul being replenished and I drink hastily and greedily like parched earth.
I’m not even sorry that I’m an addict of her words. This series is one more jewel in her crown.
When Day & Knight collide in a small retirement community in Omaha Nebraska, the illusive tranquility is shattered of this supposed safe haven, which turned out to be a mirage in the desert anyways
Jessica/Jillian is still grieving over AJ, albeit tied, bound, gagged, bruised, bleeding and captive.
Her ghost haunts Luke and he nags Jackson to initiate a reaction and organise an extraction mission
I will not tell you anything more about the story, because seriously it’s irrelevant. Whatever jewel writes, you just need to enjoy the craft. In the words of Jennifer Anniston
How About instead of Happily Ever, you take Happily In Existence
And that is exactly how I can summarise my experience of reading Jewels stories. I’m so in love with the passages and chapters that I forget what the story is. The characters come to life and walk beside me and become my people. Her sentences are like mosaics, brilliant, shining, patterned to perfection
She has an unusual style of writing. Her characters are multi-dimensional, multi layered and very human, flaws and all. Her treatment of tragedies is often with guilty repentance on hero’s part, Proving that women are definitely stronger and are survivors who refuse to lie down and take any B.S. so they get up and kick the abuser’s or heartbreaker’s ass!!.
Case in point Ryn. She doesn’t want to be a victim anymore, so she refuses to accept jackson’s pathetic excuse Its-Not-You-Its-Me.
you trashed my heart. you and your relentless pursuit of me have completely wrecked this life, I fought so hard to get back I didn’t want you to promise me forever, but you did and then you took it back. now I’m left with what? what’s left when someone takes back forever
Humour is a fundamental sentiment in her stories. Laugh till you cry kinds.
The central character of the fabulous story however is Death! It’s a catalyst that separates couples, turns their lives upside down, creates illusions and grief. It’s defeatable though. By Lake’s spirit, by Luke’s undying love and by Jackson’s sibling loyalty.
“the greatest love story of her life was not with Luke or AJ…….. it was with Jackson. he was the constant in her life. His love defined unconditional. Someday she would tell him….Someday!”
Okay I need to mention something here. Jewel does not only focus on the love story of the main couple but there are beautiful love stories or the love bonds that’re given same space 9n the stage simultaneously. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read. The two central characters in this case -Jack and Jill not only share the womb, instincts or life but they share a deep unconditional and flailing loyal love. They are the unchanging constant in each other’s life. This makes it a life story instead of a two dimensional love story which only a freakishly talented writer can do. And she does it in almost every book i’ve read. Life doesn’t stop at one person or his death. It moves on regardless.
B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T.
Adoration is better than love. It means to Love and admire
I’ve officially started ADORING you J
The nature of the characters maybe sometimes objectionable and sinful, their intention behind the actions is always pure.
Love is forever……..yet waits for No One
I somehow ended up liking Knox…when did that happen??!!! I’d like to know more about Mickey & Sunny. The BEST thing about her phenomenal stories…….they’re endless.
“you know what comes after the epilogue?
a new book filled with endless possibilities”
6 shining stars and my lone heart that I’ve pulled out of my chest.
Here take it….its yours!!
The explosive conclusion to the series. Highly recommended.
Aaahhhhhahhaaahhhh!!! ARGH!!!!
OKAY. So now that I’ve screamed my lungs out.
*sigh* WOW!! This series was phenomenal but this last book was Uh•Fucken•Mazing!
Rollercoaster ride
Broke my Heart
Made me Laugh
Broke my heart
Put me on edge
Broke my heart
Made me Cry …. I think you get the idea. I don’t think I’ve EVER fell in love with soo many characters from one series. Normally it’s the hero & heroine. BUT what about when you have several heroes. More than one heroine. My heart could not love just one or two. No way.
The story unravels beautifully causing the ending to be a painful perfection.
~~~Luke reached into her chest, pulled out her heart, and said, “If I can’t have it, no one can have it.”
~~~In a life filled with monsters, their love was a survivor.
This series turned into something more than I ever imagined it could be… Full of lies, shocks, twists and the complete unexpected Jewel E Ann completely nailed this and kept me guessing right to the very end. I have no nails left to chew… edge of the seat suspense.
Loved all the characters; I have lost count the amount of times I have left out loud at Jillian / Jessica’s smart mouth and Jackson / Jude’s comebacks. I have also cried, this author has fed every emotion conceivable into this book that I was left sucker punched. Told from a multiple POV; the final part will take you on a roller coaster of a ride before stopping and throwing you off… Even the epilogue left me aghast!
If you haven’t read anything by this author then read this… It’s a definite winner!
So the first 10-15 pages, I had this liquid coming down from my eyes and a kleenex shoved up my right nostril. No, my black soul was not crying. Shut up. It doesn’t do that, yucky.
All I can say about the whole series is, wow. Fan-freakin’-tastic! I am sooooo glad I read these books. They effed with your mind, hell it blew my mind and the whole plot, characters and writing are just so phenomenal. I told my bestie twice that she had to read them. Do it, girl!
I loved how it had a lot of dialog (I’m a dialog whore) so the story flowed and kept this girl glued to her tablet. It had a great ending and I really loved the epilogue. There’s so much that goes on that I don’t want to talk about the story. You need to read all 3 to experience it for yourself. I highly, highly, highly recommend it!
Now I can’t wait to read Lake and Cage’s story!
I’m speechless!! There’s no other word for it. What a phenomenal story. I’m not going into details about the plot. It simply has to be experienced from the first book End of Day. Once you start you can’t let go of these remarkable characters and clever storytelling.
Dawn of Forever tied every loose ends up perfectly. It was equally as good as the previous two books if not better. I loved the pace of the story, beautifully mixed with suspense and romance. My emotions were all over the god damn place and I loved it!
What can I say about the characters that I haven’t already said in my End of Day and Middle of Knight reviews? Jessica/Jillian was a fantastic character, definitely one of my favorites of all time. I loved her courage, fierceness and her honesty. She was simply an intriguing woman with so many layers. The same can be said about her twin brother Jude/Jackson. I loved that I got to see the real man and it took a mature woman to bring him forth. Their twin bond and love was the heart of this series, right along with Luke and Jessica. These two filled my heart with so much love and heartache.
Jewel E. Ann has done it again. She took my breath away and blew my mind. Her writing and storytelling is excellent and intelligent. I could easily highlight the whole book. It was so damn well written. She kept me entertained and on my toes throughout all three books. Once again I bow down!
5 BadAssDirtyIAdoreYouStars
As I ponder what to write let me first say this series will give you a book hangover. Make no mistake this is definitely a series that needs to be read in order and one after the other to get the complete emotional ride that Jewel E. Ann will take you on. True to Jewel’s form in the first two books of the series, she doesn’t hold back. It’s brutal and heart wrenching but with so much love and healing. And it’s not only the story of true romantic love but also the unconditional, soul deep love of a brother and sister. Twists and turns, sadness and hope, pain and love are all there causing you to hold your breath and attempting to read faster to find out what’s happening next. But read slowly, savor the greatness. Dawn of Forever is the perfect ending to an awesome series.
What a ride that this book took you on. This whole series was so unique that I found myself in love with the characters that Jewel wrote. The heartbreak, the love, the fight to survive and the will to find that one person who is your soulmate.
This book takes you on a whole new level of finding yourself. My heart broke for Jill at so many then she found that moment to fight and give it all she could to push through. Jackson is soooo book boyfriend material and makes you want to have him to yourself. By the end you see how, after everything that happens, they discover their true selves and move on with their lives.
Between the mystery and the romance, this book keeps you on your toes and begging for more. The writing style is beyond amazing. The fluidity keeps the book moving at an amazing pace. The banter between all the characters is amazing. I am so looking forward to more from Jewel E Ann. She has become one of my favorite authors of all time with her stunning stories and the ability to weave an epic tale.
5 million stars for this series! The story is complete, we’ve come full circle. The secrets are all revealed.
For once Jackson has gone too far and Jillian’s not sure she can ever forgive him, which you’d think would bother Jackson more, but he knows that by doing what he did (regarding AJ) he’s saved Jillian again. The relationship between these two is so important and while it’s not the heart of the book (that would be Jessica and Luke) it certainly lays the foundation.
Jones has chapters in this book (woohoo) and he’s on a mission to find Jessica…be still my beating heart. Lake has a nice presence in this one too.
I’m not going to recount the story, because if you’ve gotten this far, you know what’s happened. The duality that is Dr Jones/Luke and Jessica/and Jillian finally struck me during this read and it was just another layer of brilliance on the author’s part. The last 20% was tough, I cried through it, because it’s emotionally trying and just puts you through the wringer. I’m gonna miss these characters. They are so good and so unique, and the way they compliment each other, I just want to carry them in my pocket so I can pull them out when ever I want. The relationships through out are what makes this series a must read because each is complex…the story of her mother, Jude and Jessica, Jillian and Jackson, Jessica and Luke, AJ and Cage, AJ and Jillian, Jackson and Ryn, Tom and Felicity…they all have a place and a message it seems. How the story has been woven and revealed is just so intricate. Great ending to an incredible series! I can’t recommend it enough!
OMG, this book! This book is everything I could have wanted in a conclusion to this trilogy, and so much more than I could have even imagined. I’m completely blown away. Even days after finishing it I cannot control my feelings as I look back over quotes I highlighted. This is a book, a trilogy, that will stick with me for a long time…I want everyone to read it!
Dawn of Forever picks up right where Middle of Knight left off, and I was punched in the gut just like I was at the conclusion of MoK. Jewel E Ann doesn’t waste anytime getting this emotional journey started, and it doesn’t end until the last page…if even then.
We get all the answers we’ve been waiting for since the start of the trilogy, and ones we didn’t even know we needed. We continue with the flashbacks in time, watching the progression of Luke and Jessica’s amazing and beautiful and heartwarming love story. We get more of Jackson and Ryn trying to navigate their relationship. We learn the whys, the hows, the what-the-hecks. We get more of everything in this book. And I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s hard to accept it is over.
This trilogy, from start to finish, from the moment we met “Jack and Jill” in End of Day, to “The End” in Dawn of Forever, was simply astounding. The way the storylines were interwoven, the build-up to the epic conclusion, the characters…everything was done to perfection. I’m in awe of Jewel E Ann. She had me hooked from the get-go. I didn’t expect how much I would come to love everything about these books, and I mean everything. There is nothing, nothing, I would change. I love each one of these marvelous characters and I hope we will be seeing some of them in future books.
I feel like there is so much more I should say about this book but I just really want to rave about it. Luke is charming and swoony, completely endearing, he couldn’t be more perfect. Jackson is delicious and mouthwatering, he is utterly panty-melting. Jillian is my idol. She is one of the most incredible female characters out there- strong and fierce, passionate, a force to be reckoned with. Ryn is just as strong in her own right, she’s feisty and gutsy, and loves with her whole being. I adored every moment spent with each of these characters.
There are so many incredible quotes and passages that I want to share, because they are just breathtaking, but I don’t want to spoil them for anyone else so I’m just going to keep them to myself. I want everyone to read these books. They’re packed full of romance, intrigue, suspense, humor, edge of your seat anticipation, and unforgettable characters…everything you could ever want in a book. Please do your self a favor and grab these books now, you can thank me later.
