A cowboy, a celebrity TV journalist, and a baby in danger…After losing his leg and the love of his life in an explosion, David King dedicates himself to the charity he founded in her memory, and to the Texas ranches he inherited. But when he finds an abandoned baby, he needs to keep the baby safe and uncover why someone is ready to kill to get the child. Unexpected help comes from the celebrity … the celebrity investigative reporter who crashes into his vehicle. But can he trust the famed serial dater who just wants to rehab a ruined reputation?
Aster Andrade has made many mistakes in her life. Like a teenage pregnancy, staying in an abusive marriage far too long, and failing as a mom. Now it seems she’s lost the career she gave up so much for, too. Helping the innocent baby is not a mistake. The reclusive cowboy intrigues her. But she’s not about to fall for the wrong man again.
As the danger surrounding them escalates, can David and Aster keep the baby safe – along with their hearts?
A Christian contemporary romance with suspense.

Featuring wonderful characters, a mystery that kept me guessing until the reveal, and an inspirational message, David, Billionaire Cowboy was another great addition to this exciting series.
David and Aster don’t really start out on the best of terms. There’s a lot of false assumptions and rash judgments to begin with. But there’s also an instant spark of attraction between them. There’s a lot of obstacles to overcome, though, before they can act on it. A lot of trust-building and letting down of guards needs to happen first. I loved watching that relationship grow. It felt very organic and not forced.
I said this about the first book, but I’ll say it again because I feel the same way; this was a soul-lifting read. My favorite thing about the book, this whole series really, has been the fact that God is at the forefront of the story. I love that! I can’t recommend this series highly enough.
This book was full of passion, chemistry, suspense and love that I could not turn the pages fast enough and was sad when I had finished the book. It was so full of action throughout the story that it kept me intrigued. David King was such a special character. I liked that God and his faith were the most important things to him and how he was responsible for Second Chance in Life charity summer camps. I also liked how he changed his mind about Aster Andrade and what he had heard about her. It was inspiring to watch them try not to fall in love with each other as they tried to protect an abandoned baby. I think Alexa Verde and Autumn MacArthur outdid themselves when they wrote this story together. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Alexa Verde and Autumn Macarthur are two fantastic authors who know how to spin a tale! And “boy hoody,” does this book and series have it all!
From swoon-worthy hunkiness to action-pack suspense!
I was captured from the first page!
Like all the other books in this series, it’s so full of intense moments. There’ll be times you’ll need to remind yourself to breathe! There are also lots of head-spinning moments of danger for the characters in this story. I think it would be fun to have these people as friends because of all their cool tools and devices which are right at their fingertips.
I also won’t mind having a hunky cowboy protecting me!
David gave his heart away long ago, to only have it deeply ripped apart. Now he just wants to be seen, as a normal guy, and really isn’t looking for a woman in his life. However, his wealth makes that difficult.
Aster has a reputation which is splashed all over the news, but that’s really not who she is.
Can these two come together, with all their issues, and help solve the mystery of a sweet abandoned baby boy without getting killed in the process. Can they find out who really is behind all of this?
I guess to find the answers to these questions you’ll have to read this book. It will keep you reading until you finish.
If you’re like me, you won’t want to put it down to do things like, fix meals for the family (Why do they need to eat?”), go to work (“What’s that?”), or sleep (“Who needs sleep anyway?”)
The authors are wonderful writers and know how to keep you guessing and on the seat of your chair. They also have a skill in teaching us life lessons through their characters. One of the lessons I learned in this book was, we all make mistakes, yet God still loves us. His grace and forgiveness are free for us to receive.
I’ll say this again, I highly recommend reading this book if you like a bit of suspense, cuteness, and a whole lot of heat! You can’t go wrong with this book.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Such a relief to read a good storyline that holds your interest with substance, intrigue and suspense. If you enjoy a book with plot twists that keep you turning the pages then grab this one.
When David and Asher meet, it certainly wasn’t love at first sight. In fact, it was quite the opposite. However, it does’t take them long to realize they need each other. Both have had their share of misfortune. Both have had losses, very personal ones. They know what it’s like to grieve. Both definitely need each other’s help.
David receives a mysterious text telling him to go to the little white church. There’s no name or identification with the text. When he gets there he finds a baby boy all swaddled up in a carseat.
Who would leave a baby and why?
Asher is an investigative reporter whose reputation is damaged and desperately needs salvaged. Her career is on life support. Wanting a story, she decides to follow David. She sees a blond headed woman parked far away and drive off when David finds the baby. Now what reporter worth their grain of salt would not have questions?
Suffice it to say, David and Asher join forces, teaming up to protect the baby. And, I do mean protect the baby. Before they can get out of the church parking lot, a black SUV with tinted windows slowly drives toward them. The windows roll down and a gun is pointed at them. Bullets fly. Just who is this baby? Who wants him bad enough to ki11?
I’ll stop there…. just know, before you start reading, have your snacks and water supply close by. You’ll not want to put this book down till the last page…. and then you’ll want more.
Loved this book!!! David and Aster’s story shows how things and people aren’t always what they seem, and some people fight battles we don’t know they’re fighting. Things we’re told as children can linger and affect us as adults. The story also shows we can replace those things with the truth of God’s word and overcome; and sometimes, what we perceive about ourselves isn’t what others see and perceive. Again, give it to God, and He’ll help us. That was what I loved most about this book. It kept pointing us back to Him and how put “barriers” up between us and Him, and when we take them down, He’s there to meet us. He’s waiting for us, and He’ll help us, all we have to do is ask. Also, I loved that I didn’t figure things out before Aster, David, and the others did!! There were a few twists I didn’t see coming, too, which just made it all the better!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, all of the opinions expressed are my own.
David, Billionaire Cowboy ( Billionaire Protectors #3 )
By: Autumn Macarthur & Alex Verde
David is the third book in Billionaire Protectors series. I just love these Billionaire Protectors stories. David is a Billionaire , a cowboy, and a hero. The story is well written and the characters well developed. This is David and Aster’s story. I was grabbed from the start and did not want to put it down. There is action, suspense, and romance. This story will have you trying to read faster to see what is going to happen next. This is another wonderful story by two wonderful authors you do not want to miss .
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
DAvid has a broke no heart but he tries to help kids with his summer camps at his ranch. So when he finds a baby outside his church after receiving an text message he is going to keep him safe. Aster, famous anchorwoman with a bad behaviour, will help him keep the bay save and solve the mystery surrounding him. Will they open their hearts to God and love again?
I received an ARC of this book from Autumn Macarthur, and this is my voluntary and honest review. I enjoyed reading this book about David, a Billionaire cowboy who falls in love with Aster and becomes her protector when they rescue an abandoned baby. The story was interesting with a lot of high risk adventure. I like the way the characters prayed for God’s protection and guidance and they weren’t afraid to let their faith shine. I highly recommend this Christian suspense romance. This is book three in this series and is a standalone, but the first two books give some background for this book.
A faith filled romantic suspense that keeps you guessing. Will an abandoned baby bring Aster and David together? Or will his past and her present keep them apart? Sparks were flying, secrets are shared and revealed and more than one romance is brewing. Enjoyed seeing characters from books 1 and 2. Hoping we find out more about Christian.
David, a very well-written clean romance with lots of suspense, had me from the first page. Although David and Aster got off to a really bad start, they need each other. David needs Aster to take care of a foundling, and she needs him to salvage her reputation for her job. Neither likable character is perfect, but both grow throughout the book and their feelings develop for each other beyond just the initial physical attraction. I enjoyed reading how they opened up to each other and about Aster’s journey back to faith. I don’t want to give spoilers, so I’ll just tell you that this exciting romance will pull you in and not let go. The plot has twists and turns and will keep you wondering what’s going to happen. I highly recommend this compelling book! I was given a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this excellent read.
This book is action packed! Being rich and famous looks real good from the outside but while money can help solve a lot of problems, it causes a lot also. This story has lot of twists and turns but Aster and David make a good team. I loved being able to catch up with Brett, Ashley, Colt and Mirabella. This is a good story but I will warn you there is a cliff hanger regarding a secondary character that will be a while getting solved. This has been a really good series.
David, Billionaire Cowboy is a well-crafted story in the Billionaire Protectors Series. I enjoyed how Brad and Colt reappeared in the story. The author immediately draws the reader into the well paced story through conflicts and foreshadowing, likable characters, descriptive setting, and a believable resolution. Contemporary issues of self esteem, abuse, life styles of the rich versus poverty, and revenge makes this a page turning stand-alone story. Also enjoyed the allusion to Shakespeare, walking and water, and an Austin attraction of mice with wings. While I am not usually fond of the cowboy or billionaire genre, once I started reading I could not put the book down until I discovered who dun it. Part suspense ending with a delightful proposal.
The characters are well rounded, not perfect, but with realistic flaws and doubts.
The story is filled with action, intrigue, romance, and faith and the mystery/suspense element was well done.
This book grabs you on the first page and doesn’t let go! It is full of action, suspense, drama and romance. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. I love how the authors wrote a wonderful suspense story where the people relied on God to help them and to give them the strength and wisdom to pull through. This is an outstanding book!! It deserves more than 5 Stars.
Definitely read Brett and Colt before this book. David is a huge character in Brett, and he’s mentioned in Colt, and we meet Aster and learn more of other characters in Colt. Of course you could read this book as stand alone, but it’s so much more fulfilling and complete reading it after the first two books.
So much brokenness. This book really took my emotions through the wringer. Two unlikely mains put together in an even more unlikely situation. Wonderful! Quite a bit longer than the previous books, but that’s a plus in my world! 😉 I wouldn’t change a thing! I loved the suspense and the slow burn. The adorable baby and the heart racing danger.
David Billionaire Cowboy is book 3 in the Billionaire Protectors series. This is a great story full of cowboys that are security detail when needed, a nosy reporter that turns into a nanny, an abandoned baby, espionage, murder, kidnapping, loyalties lost and extreme faith in God will make this story all the more exciting. Throw in a mixture of romance and you have all the ingredients for a good book that keeps the pages turning. And it is a clean story so you don’t have to worry about bad language! This is a must read for all suspense or romantic lovers.
This was such an amazing book. I did not want this book to end. This whole series was amazing. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Alexa Verde & Autumn Macarthur did an amazing job with this series.
I have to admit that I was a little embarrassed to read this by the title. It just has a silly sappy romance title but I really like the authors and they needed a few readers so I volunteered.
This book was totally NOT what I expected! It was such a GREAT book! I want to start it again!! The mystery starts almost immediately and is so perfectly written and thought out that I really do want to start reading this book again! If I could give it more stars I would!! In fact, I now want to read the other two books in the series.
Another hold on to your seat for a ride book by two of my favorites, Alexa Verde and Autumn Macarthur. We have
David the billionaire cowboy we’ve met in the previous books in the series and Aster Andrade high profile tv news anchor, investigative reporter and also a mom with a past. This is their story.
They have met before when she interviewed him about his charity. He’s not too keen on being interviewed again. But they are thrown together thanks to a minor traffic collision when she’s on her way to try and interview him again. So much could be said but you need to read the book. They both have deep hurts and need to remember about how much God cares for them and can heal them.
The book is full of twists and turns trying to figure out if the bad guys are after her, him or the sweet baby boy they are led to find at a church. It was a hard to put down story. Another wonderful story of Gods love and grace. Read and enjoy. Thank you as always Alexa and Autumn. Blessings!
Wow! It’s 6am and I just finished this amazing book. Yep, it’s one of those you just can’t put down. This book seriously has it all…drama, suspense, romance, and action-packed from the beginning. Best of all, it has a wonderful message of God’s love and forgiveness. The storyline is well-developed and the characters are so realistic in their emotions and flaws. I haven’t previously read these authors, but I’m hooked!
I received an ARC and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
