Looking forward to reading more by this author.
An exciting trip to the past with a heroine in trouble that you will want to triumph. Will she defeat the schemes around her? Each page will pull you further into the mystery. Don’t miss this one.
unrealistic
Did not like the writing style at all. Couldn’t even finish the book.
I couldn’t get into the book, didn’t like the characters. I read about the first quarter and gave it up as a bad job.
Simply written and predictable
I liked the time period of this book and liked the manners of the characters ( wish we would all use manners like that). It was a fast read, great for a weekend or in front of a fire a couple of nights. But it was really a 3.5, so I rounded up. It was predictable for me. In an area of the book, the main character grabbed a flash light. I don’t think they were invented. She might have used a torch or a candle or a lamp. I can overlook the few grammatical eras.
Not great, not horrible
Very predictable. Takes a long time to get somewhere. Wasn’t sure I was going to finish it until the last few chapters picked up and finally got me into it for a bit. It’s one I hope the second book gets better.
Author settled for the obvious ending. I had multiples twists and theories in my mind but none were used.
Poorly writte nand developed characters that just go on and on So disappointing
Enjoyed reading this and looking forward to the next one in the series
Awful. Terrible writing, character development. Could have been written by a 9th grader. Not worth the time.
I liked the whole series, but had trouble getting the 4th volume. It is a keeper.
It was well-written and it held my interest. Anxious to read the next one!
Inspirational heroine who didn’t give up in the face of trouble. Highly unpredictable twists and an amazing ending.
I liked it and read all of them!
This book was a nice light read about a period I don’t typically read about (the early 1900s in Pennsylvania). I liked the characters and the story enough that I got the second book as well and read that one just as quickly.
This book has an excellent story line and very vivid characters. It is written in a rather simple manner. Frankly I was surprised to see this author has written so many books.
Awful. No character development, no sense of period…reads like an outline for a much longer book. Completely lacking in richness, character, even plot. Don;’t waste your time.
