***A note from the author: I am so happy to be able to share Daughter of Time with you. I created Footsteps in Time and Prince of Time first, and only wrote Daughter of Time after so many readers wanted to know how the story began. Meg’s journey is continued in Footsteps in Time and Winds of Time. Happy reading!
“Sarah Woodbury is my new favorite author. Daughter of Time reminds me of Outlander and 1632, with a fresh twist. I read all the books in the After Cilmeri series in four days! Long after I finished the last book, the stories and characters stayed in my mind, and I kept wishing I could return the world Sarah so skillfully created. I can’t wait for the next book and the next …” — Debra Holland, New York Times bestselling author of the Montana Sky Series.

I’ve only read one or two of these “sent back in time” books that were any good. This was not one of them. The internal dialogs, the instant attractions, the developing plot were all drawn with such a heavy hand that I gave up after about 5 chapters.
Left hanging at the end
Interesting idea that never really got off the ground. Minimal character development.
Ok
The story line was not believable. I kept waiting for a psychotic break to be announced!
This is the first of a series of books with such interesting characters and plot lines that you just can’t stop reading
Interesting historical fiction. Got a good feel for Wales at that time. Looking forward to the next book.
Love this entire series
I love books about ancient societies, and the twist of having a 20th century woman transported to 13th century Wales made it all the more interesting. I loved it and cannot wait to read more in this series!
It was excellent, could not put it down, can’t wait to start the next one.
The characters grew on me to the point I wanted to learn more about their lives and challenges. I’ve continued to read more books from the series. A nice escape!
A good, entertaining read.
Did not care for this book; from the beginning when her car suddenly goes through time to a different continent and to engage in a real historical figure that history has already determined their fate. This book would have worked if they were already in Wales and if the main character was fiction and was close to the prince of wales
Story line was interesting and historical references interesting. It was distracting that each chapter was written from a different character’s perspective (and in the first person).
The ending left me wanting more
Read the first book in the series, and had to Immediately after buy the second.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is romantic without the graphic sex. Woodbury knows the history that she is writing about and that is what makes it interesting reading. She also has several series that sound very interesting as they are historical novels in the time periods that I am interested in. I have started another of her series …
Good series to read-in order.
Interesting,but not terrific.
I wanted to like this book and I really tried to but I just couldn’t get into the story. Not enough detail and character development and the story line moved to quickly. Alot of the plot was predictable and I honestly have no interest in reading the next book in the series.
As a die hard Outlander fan, there is simply no comparison here.
