***A note from the author: I am so happy to be able to share Daughter of Time with you. I created Footsteps in Time and Prince of Time first, and only wrote Daughter of Time after so many readers wanted to know how the story began. Meg’s journey is continued in Footsteps in Time and Winds of Time. Happy reading!
“Sarah Woodbury is my new favorite author. Daughter of Time reminds me of Outlander and 1632, with a fresh twist. I read all the books in the After Cilmeri series in four days! Long after I finished the last book, the stories and characters stayed in my mind, and I kept wishing I could return the world Sarah so skillfully created. I can’t wait for the next book and the next …” — Debra Holland, New York Times bestselling author of the Montana Sky Series.

Even tho the subject is not that unusual these days, the plot line is different and quite interesting! Plus I really liked the characters………and a nice bit of Welsh history was very interesting.
This is the first in a series and sets the stage for what’s to come. If you like time travel books, I think it will appeal to you. I found the Last Prince of Wales (from Wales) very appealing. Even when Meg shares with him the history of his life (yet to come), he doesn’t flinch or blink. I look forward to reading further in this series.
Meg lives in a scattered time brought on suddenly. From driving down a road to almost drowning in a 12th century Welsh bog. The tale involving two timelines is very entertaining and illuminates life in the dark ages. This author has a real talent to compare and contrast struggles of today visa vie struggles in bygone eras.
I read this before reading the prequel. This book is so detailed in historical data, you’ll feel like you are right there! This is the tale of an alternate reality that is changed and how it can create ripple effects. I was very sad when this was done. Such a good read I devoured it!
Love the whole series.
I picked up Daughter of Time about five years ago and became enamored with the After Cilmeri series, and Sarah Woodbury became my new favorite author. Now After Cilmeri has 15 books and I’ve reread the series several times, as well as the author’s other books. They are definitely addicting!
Great book ! I love books that take me back in time.
When Meg is sucked back into the past (700 years) she is completely confused and does not know what happened. To be found by the Prince of Wales… who her family has revered for years is interesting, to say the least. The story is interesting and definitely insightful to living in the 13th century. The ending was both sad and necessary. Looks …
I really liked this book and I usually don’t like time travels. I even looked up how to say the Welsh names. And real people. Interesting intervention on the part of the 21 century people. I look to read the next one
Really interesting take on time travel. I learned a lot about Welsh history. The characters were interesting, dialog was good. She did a good job of dealing with some of the problems with time travel. I’ve read this book and the 2 next books in the series, plus a novella. All are excellent. I highly recommend the series.
I am an Outlander fan and thought this might be another story I would like in historical fiction with time travel. The characters of Prince Llewellyn and Meg were sweet and the reading light. I would like to read the rest of the series and follow how this develops.
Great read.
Very detailed brutally so but well written
Fanciful but I really enjoyed the book. I also loved the Outlander Series
Another great addition to the series, love it!
Such a gorgeous series. A real page turner
If you like time travel, and I do, you’ll enjoy this one!
It drew me in and when I finished it, I wanted more. I actually paid for the remaining books in the series!
Loved it! Devoured it in nothing flat.
Daughter of Time was the first historical time travel, romance book I’ve read. It was a little hard for me in the beginning, because of the time era it was in, concerning Welsh history, married with a modern woman from America driven back into 1200’s. It took me awhile to get use to the names and the rhythm of the speech. But, once I got use to …
