First mistake was falling for him.
Second mistake was sleeping with him.
Third mistake was getting pregnant…
Did I mention he was my boss too?
Falling in love wasn’t part of the plan.
I was simply supposed to bartend and scope the place out.
Until I got between the sheets with the pub owner, Patrick.
My boss was wicked hot. I held out as long as I could.
But eventually we couldn’t avoid it … couldn’t avoid it anymore.
Our passion was explosive.
And that forbidden act changed everything.
I wasn’t supposed to end up in his bed.
Or carry his child.
I have to keep it a secret. I had to run.
Years later, my little boy needs a kidney,
And I’m not a match.
I’m forced to return to Boston and tell Patrick he has a son.
The man I loved.
The man I left.
Who has no idea he’s a daddy.
He’ll hate me.
But he’s our son’s only hope.
What if he’s my only chance, too?
What if he could forgive me and we could be together?
It may be too much to hope for, but Patrick is the love of my life.
No one else could ever take his place.
The place I’ve been saving for him all this time.

She works for him for three months and they end up spending the night together. The next day she disappears. Why? What happened? A disappearance. Intrigue. Desperation. What a fabulous story this was. This is one terrific author and I love everything she writes.

Okay, keep your tissue box close at hand because this book will grab at your heartstrings and not let go!! They both initially try to fight their attraction but eventually give in one night several months after Yancy starts working there. Yancy has a knee jerk panic response and vanishes only to reappear four years later when her son, the product of their one night together, becomes extremely ill and is in need of a kidney transplant. How Patrick deals with the knowledge that he has a son and his interactions with the little boy Declan, are wonderful and it makes you wish that every little boy could have a dad like Patrick! This was a beautifully well-written book that deserves to be read more than just once, so keep it in your book library to be enjoyed again and again.

An engrossing story with some very deep emotions that often brought tears but uplifting at the same time. Patrick and Yancy’s story will grab you and keep you reading while you hope for everything to come to a happy conclusion. You will not be disappointed Dating the Irish Boss by Annie J. Rose should not be missed.
Dating the Irish Boss isn’t just your typical boss-employee romance. The chemistry between Patrick and Yancy is noticeable right from the start. The first two chapters focus on the past and give us their history. Readers are intrigued trying to figure out what Yancy’s real purpose was because something was obviously up aside from her looking for a job. When things got personal she up and ran, then she found out she took away more than a memory.
Yancy has to step back into Patrick’s life and hope that he’s not holding a grudge. Their son Declan’s life depends upon Patrick, he needs a kidney. How does she not only tell Patrick he’s got a son he never knew about but that he’s also dying? The emotion that comes across in this mothers love is enough to tug at anyone’s heartstrings.
This second chance has it’s ups and down and eventual happy ending. It’s a bit of a roller coaster and full of emotional tension. Even though we’ve got this great instant family type of story we also have tons of heat between Patrick and Yancy.

Wow! Patrick and Yancy sure had steam. The dynamic was full on from the beginning as was the mutual attraction and lust. Both held themselves back and fought it. I just don’t get why she thought she needed to run. Anyway excellent story and well written but expect nothing less from this Author who I’ve read many books. Always easy read with great characters and involving situations that lead you to not want to putt the book down before the last page.

When it’s not really over
Yancy and Patrick met when she was interviewing for a job in his family’s tavern. She had tried all kinds of work and just hadn’t settled on what she really wanted to do. The instant attraction was off the charts, and Patrick felt he had to hire her so she wouldn’t walk out of his life. They had a relationship that they both treasured; however, she suddenly disappeared with no notice, nothing. He felt nothing less than betrayed. Several years later she showed up one night out of the blue begging for him to help their son. Will he help them? What will happen to their son? Will they be able to find each other again? You won’t want to put this book down until you’ve read the last word.

Just wow I have always enjoyed the books by this author but this one is wickedly well written. I loved Yancy’s strong character and the total alpha male Patrick. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline is full of so many different emotions that the storyline grabbed my attention from the beginning to the end.

I loved reading the story between Patrick & Yancy so much I did not put the book down until the very last page! With these two you get the highs, the lows, the in betweens, but you get a lot of hot chemistry that jumps off the pages! Yancy has more than a few secrets that causes her to disappear from Patrick’s life for five years when out of the blue she has to face those secrets & fears when she has to ask Patrick for the ultimate sacrifice while at the same time revealing the biggest secret of all. You’ll laugh, cry, swoon, & OMW! all the way through the book & you’ll fall head over heels in love with Declan! Great read!

Patrick owns a Irish Pub in Boston and just when his other bartender quits Yancey walks in to apply for a job and gets hired on the spot. They have a great working relationship and one night as they are cleaning up they end up having a hot fling and when she walks out she calls her Nick to said she quit. Who is Nick? Well he hired Yancey to go into Patricks pub and find out all about his business and Nick goes to failing businesses and buys them out. Fast forward a few years and Yancey is back home in Alabama with her seriously sick son Declan who needs a kidney transplant and guess who the father is. She has to go to Boston to talk to Patrick and hopes he will agree to help their son. This is one emotional but oh so wonderful story with some great characters. Could not read this fast enough!
