An amazing book. Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I truly enjoyed the first installment of this trilogy from Alexandria Bishop. I felt like I could truly relate to Tinley, a young woman who is searching for direction, acceptance, love and is treated to an extremely unusual experience by her sister, Tara and her best friend, Dakota – “Speed Dating in the Dark”. What happens when your final date of the evening, the sweetest, may turn out to be so much more and someone you would never expect?! I can hardly wait for the next book and to see where this journey will lead us? It has been a roller coaster of emotions so far and we have two more books. I have purchased my ticket and packed my bags Alexandria Bishop. I am ready to follow you!
This was an easy, quick read that I was able to get lost in. I found myself relating to Tinley’s character. I liked that the characters were closer to my own age. The idea of speed dating in the dark is an interesting one, in which you never know who can come across, and I loved getting a look inside. I have a lot of questions about what is next for all the characters, so I’m glad book 2 isn’t far away.
I wasn’t sure what to think about this story to begin with. The blurb kinda jumped out at me, since it sounded unlike anything else I’ve read recently. It started out a little slow, introducing the main characters, their lives, relationships, etc.
Tinley is an average woman. She’s almost 30, working at a job that she hates, living with her roommate, waiting for her life to start. Then her sister sets her up on a speed dating thing, and things get a little crazy!
This book goes from zero to POW! The heat level jumped before I really even realized what was going on. I don’t want to spoil any surprises, but I’ve gotta say, I was totally blown away. I didn’t see it coming, never would have guessed what happened!
I enjoyed this book, as it was very interesting, and I laughed more times than I can count. However, be aware, this is a cliff hanger! The story is not complete at the end of the book. As much as I dislike cliff hangers, I would still recommend this book. It’s different, funny, and HOT! I’m looking forward to the next book, so I can see what happens to Tinley!
Cliffhanger
Didn’t catch it was a trilogy. Need to buy two more books to finish the story.
This book was my first by this author. It was an easy read and engaging but I just didn’t love the characters as much as I wanted to. Just never fully connected with them.
Excellent read….
Fun and sexy with a shocking ending!
I was very disappointed when I got to the end and it said to be continued but I was really mad when I got to the end of the second book and it still wasn’t over. I will never read her stuff again
A pleasant summer read incorporating modern dating trends!
This was a cute sttory
I was enjoying the story, but it left me totally in the dark with no ending which means you must purchase the next book. I do not like to read a book with this having to buy the ending even tho this book was free.
Cute Story. This is great if you are looking for a quick read. Once you start, you won’t want to stop. I personally am not a fan of a 3rd person story but it was still good.
Great book
I would not have read it if I knew it required a second book to find out what happened. I prefer stand alone books with an epilogue.
It was entertaining though a bit predictable in parts. It had some hints of “The Holiday.” I was a little put off by the cliffhanger ending. I get that you want us to buy the next book, but I’d rather you do that by making us want more stories, not more of the same story.
Light summer romance.
