Really leaves you hanging. Definitely not a stand alone book.
Incomplete… only the first half of the story
Didn’t realize I had read it before… kinda seemed familiar and dumb and poorly written so I almost put it down again.
Got to the point where he has dissed her for a week and then claims to be sick so she goes to his place and gets a shock … and it then tells you to read the rest in the next story.
Tinley has been put into the dating pool unexpectedly by her sister and friend. They set her up to do a speed dating night and when she wasn’t expecting much , she definitely was surprised.
Great enemies to lovers book that ends in a Cliff!
I really enjoyed this story. It had a fun and unique premise that involves “blind” speed-dating.
Tinley is hearing her biological clock ticking down as she approaches thirty. She has just about given up on finding a good and honest man. Her sister and her best friend rope her into attending a dating in the dark event that causes big shake-ups in her life.
“Are you trying to make me fall in love with you?”
“Is it working?”
“Possibly. The jury is still out on that one.”
He leans over and pulls her in for a kiss. She one hundred percent lied because she knows with all her heart she has already fallen head over heels in love with this man.”
I was pulled right into this cute story. I loved the characters and loved all the little hints of what is to come without giving too much away. The author drops teasers throughout the story like breadcrumbs that I couldn’t help but follow around and now I just can’t wait for more! Hurry up with book two PLEASE!!
-4 Stars-
This is my first book from this author and I did enjoy it. Tinley was hard to warm up to at first. She just seemed to be someone who is just too blah. Not much substance to her. There were moments where her true personality comes out, I loved when she told Marek off about her break but they were fleeting. She did get better towards the end but that twist! I had a feeling Marek was hiding something but had no idea it would be something like that.
Tinsley is a young woman that would rather be sitting on her couch watching friends and drinking wine rather than being going to speed date in the dark. Tinsley is ready to leave when her last dates voice and banter pulls her back in. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tinley is trying out this dating in the dark thing. OK sounds interesting, but she isn’t into it until number 3, he has her full attention. She can’t figure out why she’s being pulled to this man, but keeps everything going with him and then comes face to face meeting. Alexandria Bishop will have you laughing hysterically and feeling the love within yourself. Absolutely great read, now I’m off to the second book.

I found this book to be a very enjoyable read with the roller coaster of emotions that I was going through as I turned the pages to the storyline that was so well written which kept me totally engaged until the very end!
This is the first book in the Dating Trilogy. A different twist on the dating theme, speed dating in the dark. Lots of twists and plenty of drama. Be forewarned, there’s a cliffhanger. A fun book to read that was humorous at times because the characters were a little different. I read this as a reader copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review.
Bare with me, okay? I’m not real sure how to tell you about Dating in the Dark. It was a quick read, that kept me engaged the entire time and then…
BOOM!
The book was over leaving me hanging on a cliff!! Now. Had you know.. read more about the book I would have realized that this was a trilogy, and it was all one couple and not multiple couples and I wouldn’t have been so woefully unprepared for this.
Okay. Moving on. Dating in the Dark is a funny read and the premise is awesome and it has lots of texting and I love, love texting in books. However. Something felt a little off. I’m not sure what was off about it honestly. And tbh. The story isn’t over, it’s so far from over and I have so so much I want to say about it, but at the exact same time, I feel like I might give too much away about Dating in the Dark.
Just so you know going into Dating in the Dark, it is third person. I usually don’t like these, but I think that Alexandria did a good job and I still felt connected to Tinley. I actually felt like Tinley is a kindered spirit and we just get each other, maybe because we are both 30ish and single? #thestruggle Tinley is a little clumsy and outspoken, what more could we ask from our heroine these days.
Overall Dating in the Dark is a good book and I will continue to sit around desperately waiting to know what happens with the next book is released. I NEED TO KNOW!
