Win a Date with a Billionaire!Everyone wanted me to enter. The reason I shouldn’t? I was a walking, talking, dating disaster. My name’s Marika. I ran a coffee shop in a small town. Things were fine until that fancy resort, The Blue Spot, that catered to the wealthy moved in down the road. They stole all my customers with their posh coffee shop open to the public. How could I … open to the public.
How could I compete with the rich and powerful? Perhaps if I entered their Win a Date with a Billionaire contest, I could win enough money to help my business. I wouldn’t tell them about my horrible dating history or especially about that one guy who ended up in the hospital. They didn’t need to know that, did they?
As a VidTube star, most people had heard of me. I was Jokin’ James. Everyone except the woman I was falling for, Marika. I had been coming by her coffee shop for almost a year, but she had no idea who I was or that my brother owned the resort that was stealing her customers.
We were friends, but I wanted more. I was all ready to ask her out when she entered the contest my brother was running. Not only that, but the resort wanted me to be a part of the contest. Now she would discover that my family owned The Blue Spot. And worst of all, that I wasn’t from that small town at all. That I was a celebrity billionaire.
A sexy, funny, small-town billionaire romance involving mistaken identity, dating disasters, and a picnic so bad even the bees left in fear.

This book started off great, with promising characters and a funny premise. But somewhere around the middle, it digressed into a senseless sex-fest. Now, I have no issues with spontaneous graphic sex, but it was totally contrary to the character development as well as the progression of the story, and made absolutely no sense to me at all. I think the author has a unique and enjoyable writing style, so perhaps it’s just me or maybe it could have done with a different set of eyes and a bit of a rework.
A disastrous competition
The story is a good romance, simple, tender, but also torrid, with good characters.
Maryka has a coffee shop which declines because a large complex with better quality of coffee has attracted her former customers. She only has one, the mysterious James, who comes to chat once a month and a few regulars.
His only solution is to register for a contest organized in the hotel complex: the gain is an appointment with a billionaire and 100,000 dollars, which would save her family business.
However as she gets closer to James, she discovers that he is the brother of the owner of the establishment who makes hers, sinks slowly, and what seemed to be the beginning of a beautiful story, turns out to be an internal conflict for each of them.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
What a delightful and funny RomCom. The author has given us a wonderfully romantic storyline that had me smiling throughout, even through the rough patches of the character’s lives. The characters are down to earth with everyday problems. The author has done an amazing job of detailing them to the point I felt like they were old friends and I just needed to give them a big hug.
The synopsis will pretty much give you the gist of the storyline so I won’t repeat it. But I can day that this is one of those books you just can’t put down because you’ll find yourself laughing and your heart singing throughout. Kudos Ms. Lynx for writing a charming, romantic and witty storyline that truly warmed my heart.
2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars
OMG!!! This book had me going from the first word. It’s hilarious, sexy, and sometimes make you mad. I had a great time reading this book and had a hard time putting it down. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
Lynx makes sure that there’s a reason to smile waiting inside of every story that she writes. From humorous to emotional, Dating Disaster with a Billionaire pulls out all the stops when it comes to taking control of your heart. Love proves itself to be a charmer and then some. Temptation is only a bookshelf away.
So adorably cute!

This is the kind of book that will help forget about the crazy and scary moment we’re living.
I’m being repetitive, but this is something I can always expect from this author and never fails to bring it: I love how light, sweet and funny her books are.
I always caught myself laughing or with a goofy smile on my face whenever I read her work. But to balance things, there are also some super sexy and hot scenes.
Marika and James are so different from each other and they live different lives, but at the same time they are both genuine and loyal to what they believe in and to their loved ones.
James was as funny as he was imature. He would do things that made me want to slap him in the face, but then he would redeem himself and I just wanted to hug him tightly.
The cringing-insane-unbelievable decisions he made was maddening, but it as also what set him apart from everyone else. He was imature, yes. But he was also an optmist, a “trier”, he took risks and was spontenous always keeping his heart in the right place.
Marika was struggling and she was also a hard worker. She was way more mature than he was, but she knew how to take a leap of face when needed.
She was forgiving, sweet, kind of weird in an adorable way.
They were really good together and not just phisically. She knew when to put her foot down and show him how to grow. He knew how to help her take more risks in life. And together they learned how to love.
One other thing that really caught my attention is how different they are from other characters (specially James). They were adults, but on the younger side, that was so clear and I loved to see that detail.
They were acting like a mid-twenty (or younger) would do. They didin’t think or act like a 30yo.
It may seem like an odd observation, but I couldn’t not talk about it. If you watch Rock, Monty and James together (three brothers), you can see how different they are for so many reasons (age, personality, how the death of their parents touched them and how young they were), and that shows.
They weren’t the exact same character only with the name changed. They were all so different from each other, so peculiar and unique, and that is precious.
That being said, now I can’t wait for Monty!
A very enjoyable story. It had laughs, love and everything else that I love in a story. It kept me interested in the story and the characters were very enjoyable to read about. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed reading this story! Marika is running her family owned coffee shop Hard Grind and the Blue Ridge Resort is taking away her customers and she faces letting her one employee go but decides when she learns of a contest that she can win prize money she enters Win a date with a billionaire. James is part owner with his 2 brothers is part owner of the Blue Ridge Resort and has a Vidtube channel that has made him famous. I love reading what happens with Marika and James and there is so many moments that made me laugh in this story. I recommend this book!!!!!
Absolutely hilarious! This was a great read. Super funny and sweet.
Merika enters a contest to save her family coffee shop. Little does she know the man who has been stopping in monthly has something to do with the resort hosting the contest.
The characters are fun. The story is fun and fast paced. A great book to lift your spirits.
5/5
Super cute, super funny, super steamy romance between 2 super cute people…grab it and give yourself a LOL time
Super cute book!! Made me laugh and smile and angry during it. Marika was a woman running her family’s coffee shop but it wasn’t doing so well since the resort opened and their coffee was taking her customers away. Every month a man came in and caught her eye. James, was a down to earth man but really her was the star of his VidTube show and a billionaire but she didn’t know this. Marika signed up to be a contestant on a show called win a date with a billionaire. She wanted the prize money to help her coffee shop out. James being a brother of the resort owner and had some insight for the contest but never told Marika. She didn’t know anything till he told her. That was after she was in the contest. She just wanted to keep the coffee shop open. That’s all. But what she got was some heartache. She loves James and James loves her but love can make you do dumb things.
You are just going to love Dating Disaster with a Billionaire. I can tell you this that I couldn’t stop giggling throughout this whole read. I love Marika and her relationship with her father. They will put a mile on your face. Marika will do just about anything to save her coffee shop even if that means signing up for a dating contest. She never expected to fall for James beforehand. James is part owner of Blue Ridge Mountain. He is a VidTuber who is looking to get out of his joking ways. You will see the changes in James and love them by the very end. I love the banter and the sexy chemistry between Marika and James. You will just love watching them fall in love and every mishap in between. I’m so in love with what Elizabeth Lynx gives us with Marika and James. I can’t wait to see where she takes the Blue Ridge Mountain Billionaires next. I couldn’t put this down. GO ONE CLICK and fall in love with this one.
