To blend in among humans and win their favor, a couple of new-in-town extraterrestrials disguise themselves as English pop stars — and kidnap geeky Daisy to help them pull it off.Twenty-nine-year-old Daisy Kirkwood has only just escaped her small-town life and run away to New York City, the land of last-minute secret gigs at famous musical venues, when she’s kidnapped by aliens. Unfortunately, no … Unfortunately, no one ever writes about how to handle alien abduction in those fancy NYC guidebooks.
Griffin and Dev are supermassively sexy aliens from a politically and environmentally troubled planet who arrive on Earth with very little knowledge about human ways other than what they learned from a wayward E! News signal. Their mission is to pretend to be the most influential people on the planet—English pop stars, of course!—and gain the help of a powerful secret society. Upon arriving, they abduct Daisy Kirkwood, a nerdy young woman who loves music but could seriously use a bit of help in the love-life department. Though Griffin and Daisy initially squabble, neither can deny the intergalactic sparks whenever they’re too close to each other. Together, they must face murderous aliens, cultural misunderstandings, bad backup musicians, and the dark side of fame and the media, all set against a tight deadline…
Part High Fidelity, part Bridget Jones’ Diary, part Doctor Who, Dating an Alien Pop Star is a sexy romantic comedy. Fans of Chick Lit and humorous science fiction or paranormal romance will love this new series.

It’s cute and a fast read. I read it everyday while I was on my treadmill and the time went fast. If the next in the series is free, I wil definitely read it.
I liked this book. Original and interesting!
Humorous and entertaining.
first I thought this would just be a ‘pot boiler’. Kind of a silly premise – alien wanting to be a pop star. But pretty soon I really liked the characters and had trouble putting it down.
Entertaining and often funny, with a number of flashes of wit. Comedy is difficult, and comedic sci-fi is particularly rare. This one works.
What a fun romp! A wacky trippy adventure in a sixties vibe! Too cool man!
Goofy but fun
Female protagonist. A bit flaky but cute.
Although I liked the book it was very much like the Gini Koch books featuring “Kitty Matt Martini”.
Okay, I totally did not expect to like this so was prepared to dump it quickly. I was very pleasantly surprised to find it moved quickly and was highly entertaining! Maybe if I was expecting it to be good I would have only given it 3 stars, but it was so nice to read a book that flowed smoothly. I think the last few books I started (DNF) were first-time attempts and I couldn’t handle it.
still reading it about half way through its an ok read
Fluff – but Light, fun reading –
OK, this story is a bit silly on the outside, but it is enormously fun. The author did a great job of creating characters you could like, and dislike. The story is a bit farfetched, but who’s to say it couldn’t happen. Maybe it already has. I see she has more books related to this one and I plan to get them all.
Thanks for sharing your imagination.
Cheers
I like stupid humor, but this didn’t do it for me.
Not my type of reading
just wasnt for me
Just couldn’t get into the characters.
Not as entertaining as I thought it would be; thought it would be funnier. It’s a cute story as a standalone, since I can’t be bothered reading the rest.
I thought it was stupid and a waste of time
It’s rare that I can’t finish a book, but this is one of the rare ones. (a few like that recently, which is very uncommon). I’m usually pretty good at suspending disbelief for the sake of artistic license, but this book pushed me too far. I didn’t find the characters believable even in their alien-ness. I didn’t particularly like any of them. Didn’t dislike, but there was just no connection and I couldn’t get interested enough to keep turning the page. Amusing? maybe, but it got old, fast. Story line needed more strength. Oddness of characters isn’t enough.
