I want to succeed where my father failed. And I’m pinning all my hopes on a handsome werewolf stranger… him in place of my usual hook-ups. Matthew happens to be my type. He’s willing to consult, and willing to let me use him in any way I choose – as soon as I find myself in the mood for it. I can date him if I want, or bypass all that nonsense.
I plan to get my money’s worth out of him, after all…

“Date With a Werewolf” by Lisa Daniels is another installment to the series “Monsters Shifter Agency Service”. It’s fast paced and easy to read with lots of humor. The story flows fairly smoothly, the flawed characters are relatable in their interactions, the plot continues to build throughout. It was a fun and easy story with enough twisty turns to keep the pages turning.
Nobody really mourned the passing of Jacob Arnetto, especially his three daughters. After all, he was a mean, abusive drunk and a poor excuse of a father.
Fighting against her sisters’ desire to sell, Alice Arnetto wants turn the rundown ranch into a thriving business and chase away the dark and painfull memories the property is imbued with. She has used the Date Monster’s app for dates, but found they have a Temporary Help section, too. Maybe she can get some help with benefits.
Matthew Frey answers the call for help and decides Aluce definitely needs help if she’s to turn the rundown ranch profitable. He enters into a contract that he’s determined to complete. But that’s before he meets Alice’s two sisters, especially Regina. This contract may be more difficult than he thought.
For those wondering, there is some profanity and suggestive talk throughout, but it doesn’t get too steamy until the end, but otherwise a entertaining, fun short shifter romance. I do wish it could have had more story detail.

Alice and Matt had some very good chemistry but I felt like they ignored it for too long and, while the reasoning was sound, it could have been worked out earlier. There were a few places where I felt the writing was disjointed and kind of took me in circles or left me hanging but over all this was a good plot with a good backstory.
