Lena is the town Librarian and the high school reunion is coming up and to save face she tells one of the high school “mean” girls that she is dating a dragon. However she isn’t dating anyone at all so now she has to find a dragon to bring as her date to the reunion. So she goes to the dating site Date-Monsters and signs up to be matched with a single dragon for a week just for her reunion. What she didn’t count on was Oskar and his don’t give a crap attitude. Yet it does work in her favor and sparks fly between them as they spar back and forth word vomit of information trying to become familiar enough to pull off the charade of having been dating awhile. But when the mean girl figured everything out and turned things around on Lena she caved and ended things with Oskar in a big way. Will Oskar give her a chance to explain why? Can she ever forgive herself?
This is a great story that will captivate you from the first page. The chemistry between the, sizzles with each turn of the page. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This was such a fun book to read. I don’t know about you, but I can fully relate to the “mean girl” syndrome. Lena is so intimidated by her high school nemesis that she lets her fear run her mouth. As the librarian for the small town, she still feels inadequate. When Oskar Wainwright answers her plea for a paid dragon escort she has no idea his family owns the Date Monsters Shifter Agency. Oskar is a player with no clue how to treat a woman that is not a hook-up. Thank goodness for his super efficient PA, Kate. The three of them spend a week bonding for the big reunion. It is really funny and Oskar learns what it means to live in a small town while Lena gets a glimpse of how the other side lives. I would love to read more about the agency. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Date with a Dragon by Lisa Daniels is an amazing story that I have read. I loved reading this story cause it has to deal with dragon shifters in the whole story. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances in their stories.

This was great! What person has not found themselves in Lena’s situation. When someone from her past puts her on the spot, the inevitable lie just comes out. Now that she has found herself in a bind, she rents a boyfriend for the week. She could not have been more wrong about how it would turn out. Oskar thought this would be just another quick fling, he ended up really enjoying Lena’s company. Will these two find love, or will their time be over at the end of the contract? Only one way to find out. I will definitely look for more from this author.

Class reunions can make you do crazy things, eh? At the tenth year reunion, Lena may have succumbed to a little partner envy and created the biggest, bestest partner. Oskar, entitled son of Date Monster’s owner steps up. Lena, puts wishes of others before her own would not seem a good partner for Oskar, but they fit. Just by their natures, this couple indulge in some hysterically funny scenes. The intrigue, the drama, the fun! Nice story. Can Lena and Oskar make their relationship look real? Does Oskar let his feelings rule? Can Lena calm down enough to appreciate her man/dragon? Is the wainright family for real? Can’t wait to hear how the rest of the town starts the rest of their lives. Well done Ms Daniels! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
This was a great read with well developed and engaging characters wit a storyline that flowed smoothly and kept me reading till the end.

Lena the small town librarian tried to cover up her lie by renting a dragon shifter. Oskar came to her rescue but they still had to deal with small town petty people. They had a rather bumpy ride to their HEA. Fun read.

Lena, a small town Librarian, needs a date/fake boyfriend for her high school reunion so she goes on the Date Monsters website to hire a dragon shifter to help her out. Oskar a dragon shifter agrees to be Lena’s fake boyfriend for a week but they end out falling for each other. This is a small town shifter romance with likable characters. I really enjoyed reading this shifter story filled with drama, humor, romance and a sweet love story.
Lena lied then hires Oskar to be her boyfriend for her class reunion.
When Lena is cornered by the woman who was head cheerleader when she was at school who is boasting about her wolf shifter husband and how good he was in bed caused her to lie. She tells her she is dating a dragon shifter who are at the apex of the shifter world and that he would attend the reunion with her. She goes to the Date Monsters site to hire a dragon shifter for the reunion. Bored Dragon shifter Oskar Wainwright is looking at the dating site his father started and goes the the section where women are asking to hire Dragons. His attention is caught by one who states that she had lied and is offering much less than he would normally look at but for some reason he is intrigued. A Shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

This was a good short read. Lena is having a class reunion, when she lied about having a boyfriend, because she was so frustrated. Oskar is rich and only has one night stands. For some reason he accepts to be Lena’s fake boyfriend. What will happen? Can they keep the lie going? Will others find out? Can Lean really pull this off? Will Oskar figure out there is more than one-night stands?

“Date With A Dragon” by Lisa Daniels is the first installment of her new series “A Date Monsters Shifter Agency Service”. It’s fast paced and easy to read with lots of humor. The story flows, the flawed characters are relatable in their interactions, the plot continues to build throughout. It was a fun and easy story with enough twists and turns to keep things fresh and interesting.
If you’ve ever told a little white lie that just kept growing and growing until it takes a life of its own, then you will definitely relate to this story.
Living in an extremely small town where status and reputation is everything, Lena Tate tries to keep her head down and mouth shut. That is until a former classmate shows up carrying on about her husband and how great shifters are. Then Lena’s foot-in-mouth gets her into trouble and now she needs a date for her 10-year class reunion and it better be a dragon.
Oskar Wainwright, dragon shifter and owner/user of Date Monsters, is looking for another one night stand, when he sees Lena’s plea he agrees to be her date – after all she’s cute and her request is definitely original. Katie, Oskar’s Personal Assistant, is a fantastic character that keeps Oskar on track.
This story has a some profanity and suggestive talk throughout, but it doesn’t get too steamy until the end, but otherwise a entertaining, fun short dragon shifter romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Lena is a librarian and her 10 year reunion is coming up. When a former classmate shows up, Lena gets jealous of her life and makes up a lie. Osker is the youngest in his dragon shifter family and his dad keeps bringing him women for him to marry. He wants nothing to do with it. His family started Monster Dates and he has several one night stands. After the last woman paraded in front of him leaves, he checks for any new applicants to the dating website. He usually goes for the high end clients but a newer lower end client grabs his attention. He accepts her low amount because he is ready for a challenge. But will it be more than he bargained for? Can Lena get past her lie? I am leaving this review for having received the ARC but I do so gladly because this story is a delightful story of opposites attract. Things that seem one way can turn out another. Lisa has characters are well written and you genuinely like or dislike. The storyline flows and you scarcely realize how much time has passed. You want both to finish the story and for there to be more. I highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed with this dragon’s tale.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. A Date With A Dragon by Lisa Daniels is a Date Monsters Shifter Agency read. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were crazy funny. If you’ve ever told a lie that started out as a small fib and then took on a life of its own, then you know how cringe worthy the moment is when the lie comes back to bite you in the butt. Add a dash of humor, a little lust and an efficient PA that just won’t go away! I really liked the snark and embarrassing moments. I highly recommend this read for a quick laugh fix any time!
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
Lena Tate, a librarian working in the small mining town of Geevor, Wyoming, was confronted with the Facebook announcement of her 10-year class reunion. Everyone in the picture was already successful and made her feel like she didn’t measure up. However, no one refused an invitation from Chloe Galer, the woman organizing the reunion, the most popular girl that year – so Lena reluctantly accepted.
When Chloe and her husband, Tina, and her ex-boyfriend Brett walked into the library, Chloe started bragging on her werewolf husband’s skills, so Lena immediately responded that nothing compared to a dragon, implying her own experience with the strongest and rarest shifter. She lied herself into a need to bring a dragon to the reunion or lose face! She just wanted to seem successful like everyone else! She was horrified at what she had done!
Date-Monsters was Isaac Wainwright’s side company, and Oskar used it as well to help promote the site since his dad started it. Not finding anyone the system selected, he scrolled through the recent entries and the subject line of one caught his attention. She seemed different from the other applicants. He didn’t like liars, but decided to help her out and accepted. His name alone would impress her old school buddies.
Lena stood outside the hotel and worried about her date. He was so out of her league! When he came downstairs to meet her, she could actually feel the dragon power coming from him and admired his amber eyes. Even his hand was much warmer than hers. His entire demeanor made her want to submit to him! Those dragon pheromones were powerful indeed! As Oskar’s PA, Katie, drove them around town, they asked each other some common questions from the list Katie had prepared. That way, when people asked, it at least sounded like they knew each other. Lena had Katie and Oskar chuckling at her story of accidentally setting her hair on fire in school. And Oskar teased her about her blushing when her knee touched his.
It was a wonderful week, both of them enjoying each other’s company. When Lena went to the restroom, Chloe followed and told her that her werewolf husband was affiliated with Date-Monsters – and he had access to her personal, private records! He knew that Oskar was hired to play the boyfriend. Chloe wanted Lena to be utterly humiliated for thinking she was better in snagging a dragon. So she threatened to tell everyone the truth unless Lena broke up with Oskar so that the entire class could watch – and she had to do it within the hour without telling Oskar what was going on! Lena was devastated. Could she do that to him? Totally embarrass him with a public breakup? And how would she ever face the small town neighbors who all knew her name?
This was an excellent book — a simple, fun, romantic story that was a joy to read! Many readers can probably relate (except for needing a dragon date) to Lena’s feelings as she tries to compare her life with theirs. She’s a sweet person, though, and the reader can’t help but cheer her on. Oskar is also at a point in his life where he should be settling down with someone he can love. Perhaps this fake date could help them both? Could a fake date with a dragon really turn to love?
An extremely entertaining, well written, captivating, and interesting sexy paranormal romance – a business transaction turns personal. It is a funny, witty, and steamy read with a little drama to keep it interesting. The characters are strong with amazing chemistry between them. Definitely recommended.
