NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Savor the magic of the season in a Christmas novel filled with warmth, humor, the promise of love, and a dash of unexpected adventure.Ashley Davison, a graduate student in California, desperately wants to spend the holidays with her family in Seattle. Dashiell Sutherland, a former army intelligence officer, has a job interview in Seattle and must arrive by December 23. … must arrive by December 23. Though frantic to book a last-minute flight out of San Francisco, both are out of luck: Every flight is full, and there’s only one rental car available. Ashley and Dash reluctantly decide to share the car, but neither anticipates the wild ride ahead.
At first they drive in silence, but forced into close quarters Ashley and Dash can’t help but open up. Not only do they find they have a lot in common, but there’s even a spark of romance in the air. Their feelings catch them off guard—never before has either been so excited about a first meeting. But the two are in for more twists and turns along the way as they rescue a lost puppy, run into petty thieves, and even get caught up in a case of mistaken identity. Though Ashley and Dash may never reach Seattle in time for Christmas, the season is still full of surprises—and their greatest wishes may yet come true.

Predictable but a fun read.
Couldn’t put it down! Great quick read!
I like Debbie Macomber in general but this story was funny and sort of true to life. It makes a statement about our daily lives that can happen with identity theft and also the possible acts of terrorism that is part of our modern day life. I know she was not intending to be that philosophical but it did make for some enjoyable reading.
Nice that it all works out
Food story. It’s Debbie Macomber and that says it all!
one of my favorite authors, always great
I loved it, as usual a wonderful by Debbie.
It was funny and sweet. Left me feeling uplifted.
lighthearted but hopeful and humorous and delightful
It was a great fun read, especially this time of the year!
Not my favorite Macomber book but a clever premise and entertaining. Light reading.
I love all of Debbie Macomber books and this one is as good as her other ones. I always make sure I get her Christmas books.
This Debbi MacComber book ranks far below her normal standard. Two strangers share a car in winter; H heading for a job interview while h is heading home for Christmas. Too much of the car conversation was junior high level:”Do you like me? Oh really?” Too few outside characters woven in, usually an interesting feature in a MaComber book. Seemed stilted. I wondered if it was an early book by the author, or if she was rushing to make a deadline while writing it. I love all other books by this author and would recommend you purchase one of them.
Great Christmas story. Light but interesting – couldn’t stop reading it. Has the joy of the Season
Banal. Cannot believe I bought it. Don’t.
