I’ve never been one to follow the rules…or the law, for that matter. But when you find yourself behind bars and being offered the opportunity of a lifetime, you take it. I agreed to race motorcycles for Johnny Knight. A very powerful man who wanted me on his team, even knowing I was a liability. But will he still feel that way once he finds out that I had a one-night stand with his daughter? I … I didn’t mean for it to happen. I didn’t even know who she was until she walked into his office wearing my shirt from the night before. Too bad that was all she wanted-one night. It really didn’t matter who she was, I wanted more. So when she ran, I followed. I should have let her go. That would have been best for both of us. But I have never done what was right, why start now? I’ve always been willing to take a risk, no matter what it would cost me. And I knew she was worth it all.
I’m Erik Dashling, you can call me Dash. This is my story of how I willing risked one dream for another. But everyone knows that not all dreams come true.

This book is so full of emotions! It will have you laughing, crying, sympathetic, happy, sad and everything in between. Shantiel spent a lot of time developing her characters and their relationships. Once you start reading it, you don’t want to stop.
So I normally love Tessiers stories. I do. And I hate that I just didnt love this one. You can tell it’s one of her earlier works by the writing and flow of the story in general. I just didnt connect with the characters that much, sadly. They didnt redeem theirselves IMO and it was just one thing after another. I just kept yelling GROW UPPPPP in my head at them. But then, the end came and I felt so guilty for not liking them much. IDK, the story did keep me engaged and need to know how it ended. It was definitely fast paced, no lull times, and drama central. I was kept interested in their story, but just annoyed with both of them. I did love the side characters though, they were a sweet part of the story. And my heart did hurt for everyone by the end, so I felt things. Overall, not my favorite Shantel Tessier book, but I wasnt ever bored.
Dash is full of so much angst and so much drama. Dash lives of the edge and has a bit of temper so it’s no wonder trouble seems to follow wherever he goes. After getting into hot water, he finds himself on a motorcycle team and it seems like maybe his luck is turning around. He also finds Tabatha and their chemistry and connection is off the charts. It turns out Tabatha is his boss’s daughter….which makes things a bit tricky for him and his newfound luck and circumstances.
I think Dash and Tabatha had some amazing chemistry, but they had some difficulty with basic communication leading to a lot of back and forth angsty difficulties in their relationship. I loved that Tabatha’s father wanted to take a chance and saw something promising in Dash and was someone he could turn to since he didn’t have a lot of people in his life.
Dash and Tabatha had a bit of an insta-love connection going on which usually I’m not a fan of, but I kind of actually dug in this book, and the author wrote in a way that I actually enjoyed when usually I don’t. While the story does end in in an atypical way for a romance book, which could add frustration for some readers, I think the author did a really good job with artistic creativity and showing that although we may not always get what we want, sometimes there comes unexpected gifts.
Nothing sexier than a motorcycle racer and dash has it allllll….
But this book should come with a warning!!!
“Alcohol and tissues in large amounts needed to survive this book”
From the minute I started this book I was hooked ,its sexy and steamy ,gritty and intense ,a storyline I could really sink my teeth a mix of lies and angst and oh so much heartbreak.
Leave your heart at the start of the book because by the end you’ll be picking up the shattered pieces ,I loved every second of this story I adore books that can make you feel so deeply ,thank you shantel for giving me another title to be added to my all time favourite ugly snot cry books mwahhh
Dash was absolutely amazing! I loved it and was hooked from the beginning. I pulled an all-nighter. Dash was filled with drama and angst. It was definitely an emotional one with lots of twists. I feel gutted and my heart hurts. This was definitely an ugly cry and one of my favorite books I have read. Now I have a major book hangover! I’m still tearing up even after I’m done reading! This book will stay with me for a while!
I really liked the story line. It sucked me in from the very beginning and had a hard time putting it down. I loved Dash. I thought that it could’ve used a lllittle bit more excitement/drama. Don’t get me wrong, it had plenty of sexy scenes. But I think the ex drama could’ve been extended. But overall, it was a good read.
Such a beautiful story
Wow…that is all I can think after finishing Dash. Shantel Tessier knows how to write a world that you get lost in. Dash was a fast-paced, steamy, emotional read. This story takes you on a roller coaster and leaves you wanting more. Dash was the bad boy with a heart of gold. Not afraid to go after what he wants and willing to give it all up for his world. Tabatha was a typical hesitant female who fell hard and fast but was scared too. I think many of us have been where she was. This story has many ups and downs that leave you wanting more. There is some heartbreak so have your tissues ready! It is an emotional read that you need to experience!
It’s been a long while since a book has gotten me right in all the feels…. like extremely emotional, kindle throwing, sobbing like a baby feels… (insert mental image of me ugly Kardashian crying here ) Dash was that book for me.
From the very first page of this book I was completely consumed by all things Tabatha & Dash… Their love was unexpected, intense and angsty… so much push & pull between these two! Every obstacle that could’ve been thrown in their way was…. drama, lies, crazy ex’s & deception… D & T found a way to overcome it all. But not every happy ending is what we imagine it to be & sometimes life happens in a way that we could never ever imagine. This book was heartbreakingly beautiful, unique & one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride… & I know this book will stay with me for a very long time….
This book!!! It gave me all the feels. Shantel had me crying and cussing all at the same thing. Dash and Tabathia are one of my top couples of hers and reading their story was everything and moree!!!! I absolutely love the racing aspect of this book and how things are never what you might think. So many twists and turns you’ll get whiplash.
I don’t even know where to begin with this review.
It’s 3am here and I just finished Dash. I am sitting at my dining room table with cookies & milk, piles of kleenex and a glass of something strong. I just had to crawl out of bed, wash my face and come write my review immediately.
My body and mind are still experiencing the high from the emotions evoked by this book. This book was nothing like I expected it, I expected the steamy scenes between Dash & Tabatha because Shantel Tessier sure knows how to write those! What I didn’t expect was the punch in the gut I got during certain parts of this book.
Dash is that guy that lives his life for no one but himself and accepts the risks that comes with his lifestyle. For instance, brushes with the local law enforcement….they should know him by name by now. He also really enjoys the perks that comes along with it. Until one night his world is flipped around by a rich famous guy who wants to pay Dash to do what he loves, talk about a dream come true. Accepting this opportunity and then during one last hurrah to celebrate, he meets another dream….Tabatha. When she walked into that room everyone else ceased to exist. Fresh from a relationship that changed her for the worst, changing who she was down deep to her core. She’s determined to never be that person again. The attraction between Dash & Tabatha is blazing HOT; Dash & Tabatha just fall deeper and deeper from there. Life can’t be that simple though, you can’t just find the other person that your heart desires and live happily ever after. Life simply won’t allow that.
Sooo let’s talk drama. I love good drama in my books but this one I felt like it was too much. As if I didn’t have time to catch my breath and enjoy who the characters were together before more drama happened. Which made me sad because I loved these two characters together.
All in all though, I loved this book! The emotions I felt during this book far exceeded my expectations and that’s just amazing to me. Give me REAL romance filled with life’s trials and tribulations to go hand in hand with the love and joy that true love can bring; because life is not a rainbow filled world with no pain. The books that make me FEEL are always my favorites! Take my word that you are going to need a fan, chocolate, wine and tissue for my bad boy DASH!
Wow just wow. Never in the entire time of me reading this book did I suspect the ending. I am not a crier whatsoever but this book broke my heart & I ugly cried! I hated the ending, hated it & still gave it 5 stars because even though the ending made me cry, & scream in denial this was still a great read. Maybe because this book was so realistic, not everyone gets the happy ending they were expecting. Just a warning this book will get you right in the feels. I loved Dash.
If you like bad boys, this is the book for you. If you like a love story, this is the book for you. If you like tragedy, this is the book for you. If you like to be devastated, this is the book for you.
This was definitely an unexpected story line. Honestly I wished for a better ending, but I guess it’s like life, you dont always get what you want. I was a bit disappointed and don’t know how I feel about it yet.
Be prepared to fall in love with Erik “Dash” Dashling.
Dash lives his life in the fast lane. He gets into some trouble with the law which leads to an opportunity he’s been dreaming of. Tabatha is fresh out of a bad relationship. Her family is in the racing business. Dash and Tabatha have that soul deep love. Their story is very very bumpy. You are going to want to yell, throw things, laugh, and ugly cry through out their story.
This book is extremely well written and you will be on a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the story. Be prepared you will need tissues for this one!!!
So…this book is going to be hard for my to review because I absolutely loved it but it was absolutely heartbreaking. I wouldn’t usually read a book with that type of ending but I’m so glad I did. It truly was brilliant and so well written. I don’t know how the author could sit and write it, I was bawling my eyes out and even had to put it down for an hour to calm myself down.
The storyline I found really unique, I haven’t read anything like it before. I was hooked from the start and fell in love with the characters immediately.
Highly recommend!
I’ll be honest and say I didn’t completely love this one. I had a harder time connecting to Tabatha and Dash, but I still could feel the draw they felt to each other, just as powerful as they did.
Dash is a fast paced, drama filled story that packs an emotional punch. Just be ready for it to hit, that’s all I’ll say.
A book all about chances and living life to the fullest.
Dash, oh Dash. I love him. The street racer who stole my heart.
Shantel Tessier messed me up with that ending! I am an emotional mess and I am still trying to process what just happened!
Get ready for lots of drama and crying!
I loved this story. Dash and Tabatha spent their first night together at a party at his parents house. She had just broken up with a complete a$$. When she woke up the next morning in an unfamiliar bed with someone she couldn’t remember, she quickly got out. She knew that she’d gotten drunk because of the massive hangover. Shantel, I hate you. LOL (JUST KIDDING, I promise) I bawled like a big ole baby.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Let me start off with I ADORE Shantel Tessier.
This book will give you everything. Happiness and laughter, anger and sighs of frustration, and of course tears and heartbreak.
Dash will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. From the reviews a lot of people weren’t happy with the ending; but honestly, sometimes this is the ending we get in life and I applaud the author for giving this HEA rather than the norm.
Not my favorite book of hers. Dash could have been a little more bad boy and Tabitha, I wish she were a little stronger willed. Way too much drama for me…and the ending…hmm.
This was a great book, but totally broke my heart! I loved the story, their characters but I did not expect that ending! It was beautiful, I wish it didn’t end.
