Elizabeth Hoyt at her best. Intriguing and unusual characters and setting, funny with a touch of pathos, yet a wonderfully romantic HEA.
I am loving this series. The characters are diverse, the story lines are unconventional and the levels of suspense and historical details are very pleasing. I have fondness for novels where the MC is a gentle giant who in time of danger can turn into a feral beast but be gentle and caring otherwise. This is a perfect description for Apollo …
I’m a fan of Elizabeth Hoyt. I’ll admit that I picked up this title because of her name alone. I didn’t read the blurb or notice that it’s number 7 in a series that I’ve only read a couple book from. But I was not disappointed and having not read the whole series did not in any way, shape or form, hinder my enjoyment of Darling Beast .

This is book #7 of the Maiden Lane series and unfortunately, not my favorite. I do like the hero’s backstory, but I thought the romance suffered from Insta-Lust, which is not a favorite trope of mine.
