An English knight with inner demons meets the Scottish lass who will kill those demons….Following a terrible tragedy that robbed him of his wife, the dark and fiery second son of the Wolfe of the Border finds solace in battle….Quick to temper, and an aggressive fighter, Troy de Wolfe is at the helm of his father’s army when it subdues a smaller castle south of Kelso. Assuming command, Troy is … Assuming command, Troy is in the heart of Scots territory and the Scots aren’t happy about it one bit. Trying to gain peace with a powerful clan, Troy is tricked into fighting a warrior of the clan chief’s choosing. Imagine his surprise when that warrior turns out to be the clan cheif’s daughter…
And Troy is forced to marry her.
So begins a very volatile – and very funny – relationship between Troy de Wolfe and Rhoswyn Whitton Kerr. But the contentious relationship soon becomes one of genuine affection and eventually love, and Rhoswyn must call upon her warrior skills to save her husband against those clansmen who would see him harmed. Follow Troy and Rhoswyn to the end of their happiness rainbow among the gentle hills of the Scottish marches.

Did not finish
I loved this historical romance! Characters were original and great story line!
It didn’t grab me
Predictable. I feel the missed opportunity to make things more interesting for readers made this read boring.
Loved the characters. Great read. Can’t wait to read about other characters in this series.
Tragic and rewarding
I like this author but didn’t like this particular story. I quit on it but my try to finish it later
I love it.
Great read. First book read by this author, will be looking for more of her books.
Love this series!
Excellent read
Fantastic !!
Another in a series which I have enjoyed. I like this author
I loved this book. Haven’t enjoyed a romance this much since Julie Garwood’s books.
All of the Wolfe pack books are amazing. Each one is a page turner, emotional roller coaster with twists and turns that keep the reader guessing and enthralled. I highly recommend all 12 of the books. You will be left wanting more. Even though these are not time travel plots, I would say these are as good or better than the Outlander series. Just forgive the proof reader for occasionally missing needed corrections.
Great addition to Wolfe family. Sad incident made into a inspirational turnabout.
I love this author. I have read many of her books and I am always entertained, touched and sorry the book is over. The characters are well written and I want to believe!! The author has a grasp of words that make it easy to envision her characters and the world they populate.
Predictable ending but a good tead
This book was so wordy. The guy didn’t even meet the girl till way in the book. I just gave up them meeting and didn’t read the rest of it
All of her books are good. I like some characters better than others but never a disappointment.
