A fading realm, a warrior bound, and the woman who will save them both…
Bound to a vengeful goddess, immortal warrior, Reynner, has little time for the fairer sex. The last thing he wants is to be aligned with another female, even if she is the key to finding an artifact and saving his realm. But his stone-cold resistance is tested, his attraction undeniable for the feisty mortal, until she … until she demands the one thing he cannot give her…his trust.
Eve Leighton keeps away from intimacy of any sort after an accident in her teens left her with a painful ability to see into another’s mind through physical contact. When an ice-cold warrior claims she is his world’s savior, she’s intrigued, until she dares a look into his soul and sees a man who’s been cruelly betrayed. She agrees to help him and loses her heart. But the man is an unassailable fortress. With quiet determination, she chips away his barriers and a passion darker than night pulls them under.
As his enemies closes in on the hunt for the artifact, Reynner must overcome his own personal demons as battles are fought to claim the woman he loves or lose her forever. And Eve has to face her own mortality and fight for a love of a lifetime.

I throughly enjoyed this book it had me hook from page one and kept me gripped till the last page I recommend this book and cant not wait for the next one
I love reading paranormal romance but this was beyond what I read and it was fantastic. The storyline takes you on a fantasy adventure filled with great characters and other worlds that will amaze you. I loved Reynner and Eve‘s character their chemistry sizzles as they try to save his world and on the way they find each other. Their attraction heats up and I loved how they find their HEA. This was my first read by the author and it did not disappoint! I can’t wait for the next exciting story in this new series that is a definite must read.
I greatly enjoyed this book. The characters were angsty, witty, and not predictable. Eve, a mortal artist, is a superb companion for Reynner, an alpha male immortal who is trying to do two things; 1) Lose an amorous goddess that drugged him and linked herself to him and 2) Find a missing artifact from his world that would insure the lives and prosperity of others like him. I will definitely be reading more from this author and can’t wait to see what comes from the other characters mentioned in this book.
Wow! The author certainly has a way with words and has created a story that will suck you right in and keep you turning those pages. A very fast paced and certainly captivating story with some awesome and interesting characters. I found both the characters and plot well developed and intriguing. So looking forward to reading book 2 of the series and continuing on the adventure plus learning more about all the characters.
I have not read many PNR stories. This one was very good. I do have some issues following all the names and meanings, but it’s worth it. Reynner and Eve don’t trust others and they definitely don’t trust the feelings they have for each other. But the pull is to strong to ignore.
There are so many secrets they both have, but are they willing to share that information with each other. This story shows no matter where you come from you can find love, and when you do don’t walk away from it.
3.5 Stars
The plot and the writing itself was good but it was repetitive in some parts which caused me to skim. Really still not sure how I feel about these characters either.
This book grabbed me from the start and kept my attention throughout. There is a lot of paranormal terminology used and I discovered a glossary at the back of the book as I finished. Fortunately my imagination and some minor reading experience in this genre guessed almost right. That thing would have helped if it was in the front. I also got really tired of the Heroes sex organ referred to as “his sex”. I don’t need a thesaurus to think of 5 different words to use right of the top of my head. I really loved the Hero and heroine. Their chemistry was great. I will most definitely read the next book in this series.
