I really enjoyed it
This book was kind of scary. but it turn out good. Not what I was expecting but good all the same.
Best book I’ve read in months.
This was a suspense filled thriller with twists and turns that kept me reading late many nights.. I enjoyed the book right up to the last page.
Awesome author
Darkness Peering is a highly entertaining murder mystery that spans a period of time in which the father and later daughter both police detectives try to solve the murders of two young girls. Rachel attempts to solve the latest murder while keeping the former murder on the front burner as well and then what an ending. You won’t want to put this one down.
I thought this was a great thriller story. Has all the elements needed. Totally surprised with the ending. Saddened by the distrust of one sibling to another, but was it warranted? I wont spoil anything for you. I couple of things left me thinking in a way I liked.
On my Top Five Reads for 2018!!
Kept me guessing right to the end
Kudos, Ms Blanchard!!!
When an old unsolved murder is connected to a recent murder, everyone begins to wonder.
Well written book that left me wondering just how many scary people walk beside me…
I really enjoyed this book. It has some predictability but not a lot. I can usually guess the murder right away but the way the story is presented it has you second guessing yourself. By the end of the book my first guess was somewhat correct (in a way).
deep and dark- surprise ending
Keeps the reader hooked.
Some excellent use of language to set mood and scene. Eerie and beautiful.
Riveting – a page turner
good book
Darkness Peering cost me a good deal of sleep. It’s a fine medical thriller, a police procedural, and a scary family mystery spanning two generations, in what, on the surface, is a pleasant town in Maine — the sort of place I’ve visited many times. All of the characters seem real; we’ve met every one of them. I incorrectly thought I had made sense of the events, at least twice. I finished the novel about 3AM, and am still thinking about it. In a nutshell, it’s well-researched, well-plotted, and very well-written.
Well written
I was hooked from the very beginning
Excellent! Kept me guessing until the end.
