BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Karen Marie Moning’s Bloodfever.
MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she’s your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman. Or so she thinks… until something extraordinary happens.
When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death — … murdered, leaving a single clue to her death — a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone — Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed — a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae….
As Mac delves deeper into the mystery of her sister’s death, her every move is shadowed by the dark, mysterious Jericho, a man with no past and only mockery for a future. As she begins to close in on the truth, the ruthless Vlane — an alpha Fae who makes sex an addiction for human women — closes in on her. And as the boundary between worlds begins to crumble, Mac’s true mission becomes clear: find the elusive Sinsar Dubh before someone else claims the all-powerful Dark Book — because whoever gets to it first holds nothing less than complete control of the very fabric of both worlds in their hands….

Beautifully flawed characters. Action packed. Fabulous writing.
This series is addictive
Part of the “BEST” book series ever!
Loved it could not put it down read 4 books in 3 days….lol
I think this book should now be classified a CLASSIC fae novel!
Recommending first books of beloved series. I have lost count of how many times I’ve re-read this one. Mac and Jericho remain two of my all-time favourite characters. I love her determination in the face of his enigmatic questionable agenda. The fae mythology is original and incredibly compelling.
I love this entire series. Steamy, sci-fi, action-packed, unpredictable. I read all the books in less than a month. That good.
This book is my all-time favorite book. I’ve read it so many times, the whole series, but I definitely recommend everyone who hasn’t read it to read it.
I have two words for you: Jericho Barrons. The book boyfriend to end, dominate and shame all other book boyfriends.
The Fever Series is in my humble opinion one of the best urban fantasy series ever written. It begins with Darkfever and you find yourself immersed in the world the author created. Such a fantastic read and is the first book in a 9 book series. Trust me. Just one-click the whole series.
Loved book, wonderful series. Such an interesting charecter, great sense of humor. So lively.
I love this author. I’m hooked I’m on the 5th book I think.
There aren’t enough superlatives to describe how much I love this series, and it all starts right here. Moning builds a believable world around MacKayla Lane, a simple, spoiled Southern belle whose sister is murdered under inexplicable circumstances in Dublin, Ireland. When the police can’t crack the case, MacKayla decides to investigate herself …
I don’t want this series to end. I get totally lost in the pages of these books. Highly recommend.
One of my all time favorite series!
I loooovvved this series! I read straight through 5 books in a row ! One of my favorite urban fantasies. Well developed characters, excellent writing.
All of her Scotland/Irish books I’ve read were 5’s. I’ve read this one before-still great.
I loved it!
Trash. I wouldn’t touch the remaining books in this series with a ten-foot pole.
I read this series years ago…and I loved it!
Each book is cliffhanger and when you had to wait for the next book to come out you wanted to scream…I might have a time or two…but, totally worth the wait.
I recommend that you read her highlander series as it ties in with this sreies, but it is not mandatory to enjoy this series.
Now, this is …
