BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Karen Marie Moning’s Bloodfever.
MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she’s your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman. Or so she thinks… until something extraordinary happens.
When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death — … murdered, leaving a single clue to her death — a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone — Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed — a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae….
As Mac delves deeper into the mystery of her sister’s death, her every move is shadowed by the dark, mysterious Jericho, a man with no past and only mockery for a future. As she begins to close in on the truth, the ruthless Vlane — an alpha Fae who makes sex an addiction for human women — closes in on her. And as the boundary between worlds begins to crumble, Mac’s true mission becomes clear: find the elusive Sinsar Dubh before someone else claims the all-powerful Dark Book — because whoever gets to it first holds nothing less than complete control of the very fabric of both worlds in their hands….

It was okay. I finished the book but won’t be reading the rest in this series.
I am a huge series fan and this one did not let me down
I wouldn’t call this book a romance, it’s more urban paranormal, but there is so much sexual tension and such intricately woven characters that you can’t help falling in love with. One word; Barrons. Read the book and you’ll understand. He’s not your average love interest and infuriates as much as excites but his interaction with the MC leaves you …
I love love love this series! I look forward to every book!
Read this whole series. NOW! Incredible world building. Characters who aren’t always good. You really get to know them and it feels very personal. There is a ton of mystery to Jericho. And the unseelie, wow they are baddies. I just can’t tell you how much I love and enjoy this series. I’ve read all of them at least twice.
I really liked it.
Ms Moning never fails! I was hooked from the first page and now I’m on my second series. Love all her books!
This is a great first book to the Fever series. I have read this book at least 4 times and I love it each time. It keeps you guessing and rooting for Mac.
WOW! I read the first book and immediately bought the rest of the series. It’s so easy to get invested in the character’s lives and Karen Marie Moning has created such a realistic world it feels like I could travel to Dublin and recognize everything!
I’m taking a break while waiting for my editor to return my latest manuscript and decided to re-read the Fever series. You guys I had forgotten how much I absolutely love Mac and Barrons! The story sucked my in again so completely that I said screw sleep and was biting my nails all the way through the roller coaster ride until 2am this morning. …

This series is a must read!
Paranormal and interesting. I enjoyed the first few books of this series, but never completed it.
I loved this series. It’s a bit different from what I normally read, but I love the world that she built. I have read the entire series twice and will read it again. If you like Fae, paranormal, and interesting twist on our world then you will like this series.
Loved it soooo much! It made me want to travel to Ireland…so I did!
Its fantastic. Can’t put it down!
If you liked Ms. Moning’s Highlander series, then you’ll be familiar with the Fae and this world where we delve more into the Fae world. We have some unique characters, and a lot of questions building, some of which we get answered, and others…well, that’s why it’s a series! I love the mystery and the conflict between the main protagonists. And …
