A blizzard brings a city to a standstill and ushers in an evil that defies imagination in this gripping tale from #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz.Winter gripped the city. Terror gripped it, too. They found four corpses in four days, each more hideous than the last. At first the cops thought they were dealing with a psychopath. But soon they heard eerie sounds in the … heard eerie sounds in the ventilation system—and saw unearthly silver eyes in the snow-slashed night.

Darkfall is another Dean Koontz read that gave me a fitful night’s sleep. In a city basically buried in snow, bodies begin to appear. One body is worse than the next. From there, things get even worse. The story starts out slow, but hang on, it definitely picks up speed. I recommend this book with the suggestion you might want to leave the lights on.
Love Dean Koontz more than Stephen King ‼ What is the newest book
Great book. Quick read!
Voodoo in New York City? Yes, indeed. I lived in NYC years ago, and my friends from Brooklyn and Queens told me it was routine to find altars in the parks or tucked away in dark street corners and the like, some with burnt offerings and chicken feet strewed about.
So with that in mind, I thought Darkfall was pretty scary. Not gory scary, or something ugly pops up on the monitor scary, but scary because it could happen, scary because there are people who BELIEVE this stuff. Do I believe in the power of voodoo? No. But it’s enough for me that THEY believe it. Belief is a peculiar thing; sometimes if you believe hard enough in something it may come true. So even though I don’t believe, there ain’t no way I’m gonna piss them off.
A righteous man, indeed.
Well written, easy reading, fast paced and scary! I was terrified of my ceiling air/heat duct vent covers for weeks because of this book! This is an older book but it should be on your scare list of reads! One of Koontz’s best books!
I think this may have one of the best first chapters I’ve ever read. The way Koontz builds the tension is absolutely perfect. Wonderful. This is one of my favorite Koontz novels.
I am a huge Koontz fan and have read all of his books. I have to say that the Odd series were my favorite.
