DARK WINE AT DEATH WITH A TWIST
I anxiously waited for this book‼I knew it was going to be more exciting. I again became enthralled with the story line and of course the familiar characters. It was filled with mystery, action, twists, conflicts and the promise of forever love. It foes without saying that this is another hit novella. The way Jenna Barwin weaves this whole series so eloquently you’re sure to love it. I can’t wait to find out how she’ll outdo it on installment 5‼ I’m sure she’ll do it. 100 Stars‼‼
Dark Wine at Death by Jenna Barwin is Book 4 in the A Hill Vampire series. As I have said in my reviews of the three previous books, this is beautifully written, has exceptionally well developed characters and an awesome story line (very complex with assassinations plots, vampire politics, romance between Cerissa and Henry, as well as involvement of the other character) and this one is no different, even better if that is possible. This series is a different take on vampire stories and is a must read. I’m off to read Dark Wine at the Circus, Book 5. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary review.
Love this book and series ..must read series…..can’t wait fir more
Dark Wine at Death
I really love these characters and this story took me on an emotional roller-coaster ride, tears were shed before the end
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.
This is the fourth book in the “A Hill Vampire” series. Cerissa and Henry’s relationship is still growing with Henry still dealing with his trust issues and his need to always be in control. This causes some problems between him and Cerissa. The Cutter is still loose and someone else might be working behind the scenes. This story was well-written with interesting characters and a storyline that is unique and well-developed. There’s plenty of action, drama, emotions, chemistry, steam, romance and love. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!
I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED…. LOVED….. LOVED…. this series!! . It’s been one great book after another! My favorite has been, of course, the characters BUT also the different POVs. The author tells the story from different timelines & POV that does not pull away from the images & storyline. It’s been very intriguing, exciting, & a new twist on the vampire world I’ve ever read. It’s Also a bitter sweet end! BUT I hear the gang will be back in another book!! Keep’em coming cause i will miss these characters! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
I received this ebook as an ARC voluntarily for my honest opinion and review. HAPPY READING!!!!!
Spine tingling paranormal romance mystery with a powerful plot
This story just keeps getting better and better. This is book four of an ongoing series, it best to read the prior books but the author did a great job keeping the reader up to speed from previous books and past events.
I cannot say enough about this story that has a plot which is inventive and creative with more layers and twists and turns that kept me completely engaged. Cerissa and Henry’s relationship is building but still has some bumps in the road and there are some tastefully done sex scenes. Henry is still working on his control and trust issues, which does not make it easy on the relationship. I was totally engrossed in the story and had a hard time putting the book down not only the plot but the writing style, which is descriptive and flows very well. There are plots and subplots, and more going on than just tracking down some conspirators who want to take over the mortal world. Political intrigue, spies, betrayals, cat and mouse games and much more. There was just so much I loved about this book that I cannot get it all in a review. I Highly recommend to read. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.
A fantastic read, The scenes are written epically. It grabbed me right from the beginning to the end of the read. It had me on the edge of my seat. The world building is fantastic as well as the Characters and there personalites. I definitely recommend.

‘A superbly constructed ‘vampire’ plot populated with sultry and shadowy characters. Highly recommended.’ A ‘Wishing Shelf’ Book Review
REVIEW
Dark Wine at Death is the fourth book in this sultry set of ‘vampire’ novels. Written by an incredibly talented author, it follows Dr. Cerissa Patel and her ‘vampire’ lover, the enigmatic Henry Bautista. I have now enjoyed three of the ‘Dark Wine’ books and, I must say, they seem to be getting better and better.
The key, I think, is ‘knowing the reader’. And this author knows her readers – and what they want – very, very well. What she’s offering is a mix of three elements which, I think, work well in this genre: 1. A fantasy plot but rooted in the real world – in this case, a vineyard. 2. A strong ‘thriller’ element to the story so it’s not ALL romance/sex. 3. Strong chemistry between the two central characters. For a vampire/romance fan, this is the ‘perfect storm’ as they say.
The author, Jenna Barwin, has strong writing skills too. She often keeps it simple, but this works best for this genre. The readers want lots to be happening lots of the time (and interspersed with hot, spicy romance), and this is what she offers. Even the characters, particularly Cerissa, are well-developed. The secondary characters too. So much so, I was sympathizing with many and rooting for the rest. Like many authors today, Barwin enjoys putting cliffhangers at the end of chapters. Oh, and there’s a big surprise (Cerissa’s got a new skill) at the end of the book. But I’ll say no more!
So, to sum up, do I recommend this book? Yes, absolutely! If you enjoy sexy vampire thrillers, the sort of story that keeps you guessing, a story populated with well-constructed characters, then this is for you. The best word to describe this book – and all of the books in the set is – SIZZLING!
Enjoy!
