This is my first read by this author, and I did enjoy it even though it isn’t my normal choice of genre..Historical novels take me time to get into as this one did and some of the words threw me off here and there but I keep trying because there is so much I love about any book in the historical romance genre. In saying all of that I really did enjoy reading this. It wasn’t as dark as I was expecting which was great but our “hero” was a bit tough to like, by the end I seriously was pulling for these two and do wish their feelings for each other outside of the physical part had been described a bit more.
I am looking forward to seeing what else this author has available because there were many aspects of this book I really did love, the writing style in most of the story was great and I loved the interaction between our main characters.
Overall I would recommend this book especially to those who love a good historical novel with a tinge of dark thrown in.
The Dark side of the sun by Addison Cain is a beautifully written historical romance book with many dark twists that made me get lost in this book even more. I have not read a historical in a long time, and I was so glad that I picked this one to read. Two strong characters with such strong dynamics and how they interact with wachother made the read so much better. From beginning to end, I was hooked and was able to read in two sittings. I cannot wait to read more from this author and hope this becomes a series.
The Baroness of lliffe, Arabella was born a bastard child and led a hard life once she was sold to the highest bidder. Luckily fate stepped in and she was safe. Then Gregory Harrow appears and he knows what he wants, and he wants Arabella. These two fight, these two clash, but when these two touch its off the charts!

I went into this book blindly, not reading the synopsis,.and im glad because what a good story!
Gregory is a mysterious and broody man and he gets whatever he wants. Well he wants Arabella and will make sure it happens, at whatever costs.
This was dark and i found myself flipping pages to sew what came next.
It was slow for me in some spots but once you get through them, it was page turning!
Dark Side of the Sun: The Bastard Gentleman by Addison Cain
Exciting and romantic I could not put this book down. Arabella and Gregory are enticing characters both coming from a rough background and overcoming great difficulties. The two go from disliking each other to find an interesting love for one another as Arabella works to stay hidden from her past life. Can she evade those who seek to find and destroy her and protect those she loves?
I loved everything about this novel. Every character was well thought out and I loved the setting. There was plenty of humor and romance in this novel. Highly recommended this one!

5 out of 5 stars
The story Dark Side of the Sun: (A Regency Dark Romance) by Addison Cain is what I would consider a historical romance book. It can be a bit dark at times however that only made me love the story even more. It tells the tale of Gregory Harrow and the woman that he is falling for, the Baroness of Iliffe. The bantering back and forth between these two can sometimes be hostile however there are other times when they can’t keep their hands off one another. There is a constant push and pull between them. Gregory is a man that comes across as hard, cold, manipulative and rude. There are also times when he is with the Baroness that he shows a different side to himself. He is determined that the Baroness will be his. She has captured his attention. The Baroness is a woman who is strong, independent and wild. She does have a kind heart for those who help and serve her. She is also a woman that is not afraid to say what she means, she is strong-willed. Gregory will do anything and take any action necessary in order for the Baroness to be his. Read this story to find out if these they find happiness and if it is with each other. The story is well-written and has some twists that I didn’t see coming. It is set in a time when women are expected to behave in a certain manner. I loved reading about how the Baroness disregards rules that society has set. This is the first book that I have read by the author and I enjoyed it. It had me hooked from the very beginning and turning pages to find out how it all works out. It is a story I would highly recommend reading.

Dark Side of the Sun by Addison Cain
I give Dark Side of the Sun by Addison Cain a 3 Star rating. It is described as a regency era dark romance and while I don’t usually read historical romances, and had no clue what the regency era referred to, I was intrigued by this one being described as a “dark” romance. The story kept to the historical side of things in how the language was written. Since it’s not my usual style of writing, I found that a bit difficult to get into, but I appreciate the way it was true to the time period. This novel had love, suspense, and revenge.
I admit, I didn’t love this book. I’m not sure if it’s the historical side of things when I’m more used to contemporary novels, or if it was the characters and storyline that threw me off. The way the sex scenes were described didn’t work for me either. I did appreciate that Gregory remained true to his bad nature throughout the story. I would’ve been disappointed otherwise. I didn’t love his character though, nor did I love Arabella. Overall, the story was interesting and a change from my “usual” reads.
I give the book 3 stars, but I’m sure those that are more accustomed to historical romances would be able to get more deeply involved in the story and enjoy the writing even more than I was able to. The writing was very descriptive, but a bit too flowery for my taste.
Dark Side of the Sun was a good 4 star read.
The story started a little slower than I like but I was eventually pulled in and couldn’t put it down.
We have Arabella who was sold to a Baron and the things he and his friends did to her were terrible. What’s sad, is who it was that sold her. When the Baron dies, Arabella fled and eventually found herself renting from another dark and cruel man, Gregory.
Gregory and Arabella start a relationship of sorts, she isn’t quite sure she can trust him. Arabella doesn’t want another man like her husband. Can Gregory be different and give her what she is looking for? Can he protect her?
Gregory was a little frustrating to me at times when he could disappear without a word but if Arabella were to do it there was an issue. Men!! The chemistry between them was great and the sex scenes were hot. Once he found out about Arabella’s history, Gregory grew on me with how he was with her. At times he could be possessive and sweet but not harmful.
This is my first read from Addison Cain. I’ve been reading several dark reads lately and this one was dark but not really dark. I will warn that there may be triggers for some. My emotions were all over the place as well. There is also a big twist at the end that I definitely did not see coming. We do get a HEA which was great.

This is my first time reading this author. It was a little slow for me in some spots. But overall a good story! I enjoyed it!! It kinda has a sleepy hollow feel to it. Well minus all the blood and stuff ! I’m not too keen on the historical genre… but Addison changed that for me!
Once the slow parts passed, it was full of excitement and entertainment. Gregory is your brooding , mysterious, and sexy hero. Arabella has gotten herself into a precarious situation. But Gregory unexpectedly helps her in a way she wasn’t expecting. But will she be able to trust him? Now, that is the real question!! Great job, Addison!! I’m looking forward to reading more from you in the future !!
Addison Cain’s Dark Side of the Sun was a well written historical style romance. The characters were rife with intrigue, suspense and allure. The male lead was darkly attractive and his stance/interactions with the other characters was highly entertaining I found the book flowed extremely well and was a pleasure to read. I enjoyed the dialogue, the suspense, and attraction. This is certainly one of the author’s better works. If you are a romance lover and enjoy a bit of historical tossed in, then this story may be worth your while!
Dark Side Of The Sun by Addison Cain is a dark and twisted love story that will take you to the edge of cruel and beyond.
Gregory Harrow knows what he wants and he doesn’t care what he has to do to claim it. And what he wants is Arabella. He has determined that she will be his and his alone, no matter who gets on his way or what obstacles he has to overcome.
Normally I would try to say a little more about the book than this however I really think it is best you go into this book in the same way I did – utterly clueless. That way you will find yourself being gripped by the story and blown away by the dark emotions throughout. You will find yourself on the edge of your seat, not able to read quickly enough to devour this book the way you will want to. The characters are haunting and demand your attention, especially Gregory. I found myself thinking about them and this story long after I had finished this book. I cannot wait to see what else this author has to offer!
Dark Side of the Sun: A Regency Dark Romance by Addison Cane is a historical romance story. I am a fan of historical novels and this was an interesting read for me. I liked the setting and the time period it took place in. The characters were interesting and well written. The character Gregory was a jerk at times but when he was dealing with Arabella he was a different person. The dialogue between them was fun and sexy. The story was not exactly bright and happy but a dark romance. There were twists and turns and the characters were realistic. This made the story more readable and interesting. I enjoyed the novel and will be looking for more from Addison Cane in the future.
Dark Side of the Sun: A Regency Dark Romance by Addison Cain
This is a new to me author and a genre that is a little out of my norm but I am so glad I read this book…. it did take me a little to get going but once I did, I could not and would not put this book down.. There were plenty of dark, sinister times in this book but that did not deter my enjoyment of this book!
Dark Side of the Sun: (A Regency Dark Romance)by Addison Cain is a dark historical romance about a man that has no problem destroying anyone that gets in his way, and the woman that captures his heart. This book is filled with twists and turns that kept me reading even though this isn’t normally a type of book that I would read. The characters are all interesting and full of their own flaws that help to make them feel more real. The author takes us on an impressive ride from start to finish. The plot is rather dark at times, but I feel that made it all the more enjoyable to read. It’s a well thought out and paced story, easy to follow and an all-around great story. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m excited to read more. This is a strong five star read that I am glad I picked up.

Dark Side of the Sun by Addison Cane is a raw, full of passion, historical romance. This is the story of Arabella Baroness of Iliffe, she is a resilient, independent woman has been through a lot in her life. She is a widow that was abused by her husband and will do whatever she can to survive in order to keep loved ones alive. Gregory Harrow has murdered several people and like Arabella, he is damaged. Gregory has learned that in order to survive, you have do whatever it takes to come out on top. That is until he meets Arabella. Will Arabella be able to let down her fear for Gregory and be opened to letting Gregory into her life to protect her? This is my first read by Addison Cain. I normally don’t read historical romances but I was very intrigued to read this story. The author created characters that are full of flaws but relatable. The chemistry and attraction between Addison and Gregory is explosive. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from Addison Cain.
A very different offering than I am used to by one of my favorite authors! I found it to be well written and very much enjoyed the characters and story!
I love Regency era novels, but I have never read a Dark Regency novel. Addison Cain writes dark so very well. The story features Arabella, the Baroness of Iliffe, who is on the run and find refuge on the land of Gregory Harrow. Gregory is the perfect anti hero, he act like cold hearted bastard most of the time, but something about the wild Arabella touches a new caring part of himself.
There is a lot going on in this book. Lots of twists and turns and things aren’t always as they seem to be. I loved the banter and interactions between Gregory and Arabella and the sexuel tension between them is so hot. I was rooting for them And I loved the ending.
