Great secondary characters. Main protagonist too moody.
Great detective story set in Denmark with realistic characters.
I enjoyed it so much I read the next book by Inger Wolf too. I’m not sure the rest have been translated yet.
A fast moving whodunnit with great primary characters that develop slowly but thoroughly. Lots of twists and turns and red herrings along the way, but even if you see the who, you may not see the why – or vice versa. Stark in the description with a clear tone and style. Enjoyed this greatly and grabbed another that has been translated to English.
Enjoyed the book. Kept you on edge until the end. Would definitely recommend.
REAL GOOD
Danish detective solves a who done it.
Well written, characters have depth, interesting plot lines. Look forward to more books by Inger Wolf being translated into English.
Crime story set in Aarhus, Denmark. I liked the down-to-earth characters.
I enjoyed reading this book. I liked Trokic, he’s an interesting character. The plot twists kept me guessing; I was never sure who did it!
Good read; well written.
This is my second time with Daniel Trokic as a Danish detective trying to solve the case of a female runner left nude and dead.
The character of Trokic is left somewhat to your imagination.. quiet, introspective and loyal to his friends. The author introduces Lisa, a computer whiz that worked the seedy side of porn and pedophilia for the police and now works with Daniel. Lisa is a well developed character that partners up with Jasper to help on the case.
The dead woman, a single mom named Anna is one case that leads into the case of a researcher named Christopher.
The case does make you turn the pages as the author has a clear style of writing and the investigation pulls you in.
The drugs on the street, pharmaceutical drugs and research come to play in the book. I found myself rooting for Lisa to solve the crimes…she became quite real, likeable and an independent thinker.
Not the best mystery but entertaining and you get a feel for Denmark and it’s people. It is a good read with a great cast.
Great mystery. I have not read this author before, but I couldn’t put the book down. It was taut and we’ll paced.
I liked the characters in this book and the mystery. I looked up another book and read it. I hope they translate more of her books to English
Enjoyed this murder mystery set in Denmark. Great characterization and plot. Love mysteries set in Scandinavian countries.
Dark September has wonderfully developed characters in this murder mystery. The story is well developed and keeps the reader engaged till the end.
Good character development but the ending is tied up with new information at the end.
Entertaining
