This book contains the first three Dark Planet Warriors episodes, Invasion, Taken and Escape (which were originally released as a three-part serial) in one single volume. Abbey Some scary looking aliens have just boarded Fortuna Tau, our little asteroid mining station. Kordolians, by the looks of things. What the hell do they want with this floating rust bucket? What are they even doing here? … this floating rust bucket? What are they even doing here?
In the grand scheme of things, Earth is a total backwater, and the Solar System is the galactic equivalent of Hicksville. That’s why aliens rarely bother to come to this corner of the universe. And Kordolians are usually too busy conquering the important parts of the nine galaxies to bother with us.
But it looks as if their battle cruiser is broken. Probably shot up in a firefight. They’re going to use every means necessary to fix it, even if it means putting Fortuna Tau on lockdown. I just hope they don’t decide to enslave us and ship us off to some remote alien planet.
Come to think of it, I’ve never seen a Kordolian up close before. They’re huge, with strange silver skin and pointed ears. They have freaky nano-armor. And they’re packing a serious arsenal. Our human technology has no chance against their weapons.
When I encounter their General, I find him insufferable. Arrogant. Domineering. He won’t tell me anything.
I guess that’s what happens when your race is kicking ass across the nine galaxies. You get pigheaded.
So why do I keep running into him? Why is he looking at me funny? And what’s with this weird feeling I get when he’s around?
I really hope these guys fix their ship and go away soon, because I get the feeling they could be major trouble.
Tarak
Sucked into a wormhole during a fierce skirmish with an enemy ship. Spat out near a human mining station in a remote corner of the nine galaxies. Stuck with weak humans who operate with inferior metals and technology.
This mission couldn’t get any worse.
We need to fix our craft before the wormhole collapses.
We need to hunt the cursed Xargek monsters that have infiltrated this human rust-bucket.
And these infernal headaches of mine are getting worse.
I don’t really care about these humans. Their existence makes no sense to me. All I care about is killing Xargek and getting back to my home planet, Kythia.
This situation is tiresome. The light of the star humans call the Sun burns my eyes. I crave Kythia’s darkness.
So why has this crazy human female captured my attention? She’s messy, awkward and she babbles nonsense half the time.
These humans are crazy. I don’t understand them at all. Especially this female. Why do I keep coming back to her?
I need to leave this place before I go insane.
Warning: This book contains swearing, violence and steamy sex scenes. It’s recommended for readers aged 18 and over.

Love these books
Yesssss this is exactly what I’m looking for. Anna’s world building is unique and interesting, the political intrigue makes sense, there’s no feeling of invented drama just for the sake of spurring on the characters. General and Abbey have a relationship that feels far more naturally developed than most in this genre, and I loved how organically their care for each other formed. I probably shouldn’t have stayed up until almost four in the morning reading but I couldn’t put it down and read it in one shot. Great read!
A dark, stern general meets his match in the small, feisty package of the FC. Their back and forth is the stuff of which romantic tension is known for. I so loved this story, as the settings ranged from a hub on the moon to an alien space ship, their dangerously cold planet with a dying sun and the wilds of a frozen wasteland. In amongst the coldly logical thoughts of the general are laced the musings of his human love interest and how their push and pull cause sparks to light between them. They have an ongoing story line in further books. This is one of my all time favorite books.
This is my very first story from this author and although I listened to the audiobook version of the story I enjoyed it a lot. The narrators did a fantastic job with the story. Listening to it made me feel as if I was a part of the story. This author did a fantastic job writing a story that I was able to visualize. I love the world she created but I loved the characters even more. Abbey and Tarak characters will have you wanting more of their story, their world. There were times that Abbey’s choices made me want to slap her upside her head but I still enjoyed her. Her and Tarak’s story had a sweet surprise to their ending and I look forward to listening to the next book in the series. The only thing that bothered me about this story was that there were some parts that were a bit repetitive but this was a great paranormal story.
I thought Anne Carven did a wonderful job of crafting the characters and world building. With limited time for reading I lamented almost every time I had to put it down and wait for the next opportunity. I liked it well enough that I pulled next book to read.

This is my review for the three parts
1/2 STARS
“Dark Planet Warriors: Invasion” by Anna Carven was a delight to re-read.
I just had a compulsion to read this again, something light, easy and fun and it certainly ticked all my boxes.
In fact, I think I enjoyed it more this time around.
So a brief description of this, We have Abbey a scientist working on space station “Fortuna Tau”
when they are boarded by Kordolians large, silver-skinned, pointy-eared hotty warriors.
After a serious incident leaves Abbey in a bad way There Big Bad General Tarek whisks Abbey aboard his ship to transport back to Kythia for treatment.
The grumpy General soon becomes captivated by the little human and as his own people scheme to take her away from him. Tarek vows to protect his little human mate from all that would wish her harm.
this is a lovely tale, the general beneath his gruff exterior has a heart of gold for Abbey, and I loved how Abbey was not one of these seriously stupid girls always doing the reverse of what she was told.
She was the opposite of angsty and I found this very refreshing, made such a nice change.
So if you’re looking for some light reading that’s guaranteed to make you smile and also get you a bit hot under the collar.
give this a go, it’s definitely worth a read.

I recommend the whole series. Ms. Cravens characters and world building really make her a must read. I like that there was some sex and romance without sacrificing the story. It’s about the characters, love, hope, survival, freedom for the warriors and their people.
