Pleasantly surprised. Not what I expected.
I am giving this book five stars well because I am from Kansas and like reading books that are set in Kansas. Really enjoyed reading this book. Wow the twisted and messed up stuff that happened to this family. All the secrets that have been kept all these years. How our main character try’s to piece it altogether. The only thing that bothered me …
Great writing. Interesting characters. Excellent twists and resolution. Better plotting than GONE GIRL.
An ABSOLUTE must read!!!
This one really got under my skin.
This book was a little dark for me.
Sad but sinister
Loved it! One of my favorites !
Libby Day needs money and will do what she needs to do for it. Even if it means revisiting the murder of her family 25 years ago. A murder that she helped put her brother behind bars for. As she finds out more information about that awful night she starts to wonder if her brother may be innocent.
I did not really like Libby Day in the beginning …
Couldn’t put it down! The MC is a total mess of a human being but her personal journey in trying to make sense of what happened that deadly night is part of her process of becoming a functional adult, and you end up rooting strongly for her. You won’t find a pretty, popular Nancy Drew type character in this story. What you will find are absolute …
My favorite Gillian Flynn book!
I really liked this book. Is different than other numbers and provides the reader with the necessary pessimism to realize that our lives are actually fantastic.
A crime fiction novel that goes back and forth in time twenty five years. Once again Flynn proves her writing genius and keeps you trying to unravel the twists and turns her novel takes. Kept me riveted til the unsuspected end.
Great read as are all of Gillian Flynn’s books
I read this book, then listened to it on audiobook. The premise was creepy and the main character was amazing. Somewhat of an unreliable narrator but for an original reason. The drive home to Pennsylvania from Iowa flew by.
Loved it…..read all of her books. Hoping for more
Pretty average compared to her other two books. There are some memorable characters in this but when the protagonist is this annoying, it’s tough to root for her. I really found myself hoping the ‘villain’ would win out which I suppose is somewhat refreshing, but it shouldn’t be because I just want the protagonist to disappear.
Not my favorite of Gillian Flynn’s novel, but still a great read.
I did not like this book.
OMG. There is a scene in this book that nearly killed me. It was so human, so raw, so utterly original. I had a little free fall moment every time I thought about it for weeks. Brilliant, dark, full of flaws and fascinating characters.
