Flynn never ceases to keep me intrigued and entertained. The stories she builds are twisted and not like anything I have read before. I only wish she had more books so I had even more to read by her. I am truly never dissapointed.
This author writes amazing books with extremely twisted characters. Do not read at night if you want a good night sleep. This will keep you up all night.
Loved it!!!!
It kept me interested. A little too dark for my taste.
An un-put-downable thriller. Chilling.
I just really didn’t like or care about the main character, and that makes any book a hard slog for me. The premise had so much potential…. didn’t like where she took it.
Libby Day is the hot-headed fire starter we all want to be when faced with adversity and labeled as something we are not. The characters are so complex and the story is wicked.
Really good book.
Another great novel by Gillian Flynn. I felt equally drawn to and frustrated by the main character Libby Day. I honestly didn’t know if I wanted to hug or shake her half of the time! Throughout the story, the flashbacks were interwoven beautifully into the tragic tale, and as always Flynn shocked me with her many twists and turns, leaving me …
Very unique storyline. This book kept me interested the entire time. Loved the interwoven flashbacks with present day chapters. Highly recommend.
I didn’t like this book, I just couldn’t manage to like the character, she was annoying and I just wanted to slap some sense into her. I finished the book because that’s what I do, but I do not recommend this one.
This is a great edge of your seat book. Keeps ya guessing, and wondering where this plot is going.
wonderful story and characters. Never saw the ending coming.
This is for sure a “Dark Place,” but this is a story that should have gotten the better movie deal of hers… I read it until I finished. Couldn’t put it down.
I wanted to like the book, and 3 stars is all I can give it. I finished reading it because I’d gotten to a point where I had to see the story through.
But there are some things that disturb me.
1. When Libby is talking about her aunts dog and what she did. That’s sick and uncalled for.
2. The cattle mutilation, didn’t need to be as graphic.
And 3, …
I loved the book! It was perfect for a book club beacuse i feel it had so many moving parts. And the main character was so well written.
The story is dark and disturbing and told from the POV of three people. I had to force myself to finish the book. The ending isn’t earth-shattering. I don’t understand why readers enjoy the author’s books so much. I must be missing their lure.
Gillian Flynn never disappoints!
It’s dark but good.
This Gillian Flynn stand alone novel is almost too real!
