Dark Memories is an amazing book.

It’s an emotional, sexy, touching
& suspenseful story. It pulled me in, wanting to know what happens next.

It is a well-written book that has beautifully developed characters & has some incredible & touching scenes.
A PAGE-TURNER!!!
If I could give Dark Memories ten stars, I would!
Sandra Owens’ book has it all, romance, suspense, and humor. Once you start reading it, you won’t want to put it down.
Detective Delaney “Harry” Harrison is a cop who has suffered two major losses in her life. One loss leads Harry to become a tough detective who tries to help young victims of abuse or torture lead a normal life again. She also is protecting her heart after having it broken by the love of her life.
One day she gets a call about a seven-year old kidnapping victim, who happens to be the daughter of her lost love. What happens then changes the course of Harry’s life.
I think it’s one of Owens’ best books, and that’s saying something! Beware, you’ll find it hard to put down. The final few words are awesome and will make you want more!
This is a stand alone book, but it is part of the Dark Falls series by several different authors.
Jackie B.
I fell in love with Delaney Harrison, ‘Harry’ in Sandra’s first book in the Dark Fall’s series, and anxiously anticipated her story. I couldn’t wait to find out the ‘poor guy’ who dared to fall in love with kick ass detective, ‘Harry.’ I wasn’t disappointed. I’m not usually a fan of the billionaire/businessman hero, but Zach Jamison wasn’t the typical romance novel billionaire hero, and I loved how Sandra Owens made him such an amazing father to his ‘baby girl’, Kaylee. That made him very sexy. I melted every time he called her, ‘baby girl.’ Nothing sexier than a great Dad. I loved how much he loved Delaney. I liked seeing this other side to her. He was perfect for her. I easily empathized with his reasoning for breaking up with her 8 years earlier. I loved the instant bond between ‘Harry’ and Kaylee. Even though she was nervous around kids. And little Oliver 😉
The best dog ever! Seeing him befriend little Kaylee, and how attached he was to her made me smile. Zach, Kaylee and Ollie were perfect for ‘Harry.’ The ending was precious.
This book had it all. Romance. Suspense. Humor. Sweetness/Charm. LOVED!!!

I purchased a copy of the novel Dark Memories in the Dark Falls Box Set 1-5 Dark Falls, CO Romantic Thrillers by Sandra Owens et al and this review was given freely.
Ironic and at times suspenseful with the dark undertones of kidnapping, sexual abuse, suicide and self entitlement combined with a second chance at love story.
Eight years after Dark Falls self defense instructor and major Crimes Detective Delaney “Harry” Harrison loses Zach Jamison to another woman, her partner Gabe’s “Proposal Vacation” and the abduction of Zach’s seven year old daughter stir up memories of her sister’s abduction/suicide which strengthens her protective instincts towards Kali while at the same time increasing her insecurity and struggles against Zach’s attempts at reconciliation.
Contains some violence.
For the new readers, this is a stand alone in the Dark Falls series. That said, I would strongly encourage you to read the previous books in this series, especially Dark Terror, which gives you a glimpse at Harry and Gabe, her partner in the PD force.
Harry/Delaney Harrison is a tough cookie , and one of the boys on the force. Little do her co-workers know she lives with the memories of her sister’s suffering and death, as well as the betrayal of her first love. For the past 8 years she has built a towering wall around her heart.
Zach Jamison , now a billionaire, is her past. A past she doesn’t want to re-live, but when his daughter goes missing Harry is called to help.
It’s a story about a lost love, lack of communication, insecurities and past mistakes. But it’s also a story about love, hope and the possibility of second chances.
The plot is engaging with some bad guys, whodunit and family drama, and the characters complex.
Another well written story by this talented author.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Absolutely loved this book! The main characters are perfect for one another. Both of them flawed but with their intense chemistry, it was wonderful to watch Zach slowly chip away at delaneys outer shell. Add in the bonus of an inquisitive, and adorable 7 yr old, not only do you have passion and suspense but a fair amount of humor mixed in! I found myself giggling through parts of the book! But the best part was the last few lines of the novel! Awesome job sandy!
4.5 Stars. It’s the females turn to take center stage. Detective Delaney Harrison (Harry) is just one of the guys. That is until her Captain Eve assigns her to a kidnapping case. The missing child, Kali, father is millionaire Zach Jamison and demands Delaney be the only law enforcement involved. Zach is reason Delaney is Harry. Their painful breakup is something neither have gotten over.
As a professional, Detective Harrison brings the little girl home safely and now Zach has to convince Delaney to stay. Delaney isn’t sure she can forgive and forget. Plus, the Zach she remembered is a Beer and Pizza guy. This Zach has a chef, a chauffeur, and money to burn. Delaney is a no frills type of girl. Heck, her partner had to buy her a sofa. Now, she has to decide if it’s her turn for love and a readymade family.
