This book needs to come with a warning!! Toby Neal you’ve incinerated my heart with the dark lava of emotions in this book! But in true Lei Texeira form, my heart survived and rose through the ashes broken and tattered but almost healed. I say almost because who knows what you have in store next! Lei and Michael have been through some pretty hard …
I’ve read several of the Lei mysteries. I like the characters and the Hawaii setting!
Very strong, interesting, complex female detective and great plot lines. Love this series
Love this character
Just a good crime and cop novel. No typos or errors. Well developed characters with depth, even the minor characters have personality. There are good relationships . Have read others in this series and would read more.
I’ve loved all the Lei crime books. It’s so enjoyable to watch Lei’s relationships grow, and now she will really be stretched to mature!

Great book with great characters. I love Lei and Stevens
Learning to like and admire Lei Texeria and hoping for more of these books to read by author Toby Neal. I love reading several books and stories about the same individual. I am enjoying how she and Michael Steven’s relationship moved finally from friendship to marriage and now a family, even though slightly unconventional. I think others will …
One of my favorites. Each new book is like catching up with old friends. The lasting kind that when you meet up again you just pick up where you left off the last time you wer together. She writes the kind of books that I am a bit saddened that I reached the end yet eager for the next.
I am always captivated by Toby Neal’s novels and read everything she writes. Her characters are always well developed and the action original and exciting. Her knowledge of the islands and people is tremendous and adds intelligence to her stories.
I bought this on a Book Bub deal -could not put it down! read it one day and bought another in the series by this author. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the mystery and the characters. Would totally read more from her in this series. Side note – Hawaian names are a little tricky at first but once you the hang of it, you fly right by them and …
I have read most of the books in this series, and I loved that the author finally tied a number of plots trails together. As always, the characters had their quirks and strengths….well displayed. I would not recommend this as a stand-alone, as so much of the action is derived from plots in previous books. However, even on its own, its a good …
I’ve read 6 Toby Neal book.i like the fact that characters crossover between series. Her background allows for some intriguing character development. Paints a beautiful picture of Hawaii with words.
