Nobody warned me that the seven sins are hot as hell.
Cast down from Heaven thirty years ago,
I’ve been waiting for my chance to go home, desperate to return to the light.
But when that chance finally comes, there are strings attached.
Seven of them.
According to my angelic superiors,
the only way I can earn redemption for myself
is by redeeming the seven incarnations of sin.
Distractingly … of sin.
Distractingly gorgeous and overwhelmingly powerful,
these men throw me completely off balance.
I thought I could handle this assignment,
but when a demonic portal appears in the middle of Manhattan,
I suddenly need their help for an entirely new reason.
Now we’re stuck together in a race against an unknown enemy.
And with every day that passes, the darkness in them calls to the light in me.
Tempting me.
Taunting me.
Testing me.
Will I redeem them? Or will I be the one corrupted?

Dark Kings by Sadie Moss is a paranormal reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Nya Simpson and Alton Woods. This is the first book in the Feathers and Fate series.
I absolutely love Sadie’s books! She does a great job pulling me into the story and I can’t help but binge them in one sitting. I am loving the relationship that’s blooming between Trinity, Beckett, Remington, Phoenix, and Ford. I really enjoyed getting all of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Wicked Game.
Nya and Alton did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you love paranormal romances, reverse harems, or romantic suspense.
I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting a lot out of the book but I was pleasantly surprised. It was nicely paced and the story line was easy to follow despite the different characters you came into contact with. The sexy scenes*wink* were just that sexy, but not pushy or undesirable. Made me want to read onto book two to see what happens. I also really liked how the sins were portrayed in a different way not in you face like the stories we were told as children.
Great book, I enjoyed the Sins, they’re a handful and a whole new experience for the naive Trinity. I can’t wait to meet more of the sins and see what trouble they get into next, I didn’t enjoy the narration by Nya Simpson.
This was so, so great, I enjoyed it a lot, fast paced, good storyline, great chemistry between characters, funny and quirky.
I was glued to the book from beginning to end, Trinity is so good and a little bit naive but she knows nothing else and her personality is quite charming and I can’t wait to see how she changes throughout the next books. Beckett (greed), Remington (gluttony), Phoenix (sloth) and Ford (wrath) where fantastic and I already love them, they’re funny and charming in their own way and l love how they manage to annoy each other so easily.
Can’t wait to start the second book, I am eager to know the other 3 brothers, it’s going to be interesting…
Now for the narration; Nya Simpson and Bobby Gaglini performance was really good, I enjoyed both narrators so much, they brought the book to live so perfectly well.
Everything Sadie writes i read and normally love although this has only been given 4 stars by me as it was sugar sweet rather than the normal sizzle and spark that is everything Sadie Moss. It lacks some of the intrigue that made Unpredicatbels and Hidden Kingdom so good plus it also doesn’t have the grit and determination that that the Soulkeepers series had.
That said its an enjoyable easy read to while away the hours and i still want to see how the storey progresses. Towards the end of the book we started getting more of an idea of the storey and there were a couple of twists and turns but i am not gelling with Trinity the way i normally so with Sadie’s FMC as i said she is sweet rather than feisty and kick ass.
Wow! An angel and the seven deadly sins? Sounds like a recipe for a great book! I loved this story and the characters! This is a fantastic start to this new series and I cannot wait for the next book!
I really enjoyed this book. Usually naive FMCs drive me crazy but Trinity’s naïveté was actually endearing. I immediately liked her and found her pop culture references hilarious. The sins that she meets in this book? So hot! Not to mention they kept things very interesting.
This is probably one of my new favorite reads from Sadie Moss. I loved the idea of an angel and the seven deadly sins. I can’t wait for more.
What a fantastic start to a new series! Sadie Moss did such a great job giving a different representation of the seven deadly sins. We always have this negative connotation regarding sins, sinning, sinners, etc that it was nice to see a different take on this topic. The one thing that I really loved about this book was how the characters repeatedly surprised one another. Each was basing their assumptions according to well known stereotypes and generalizations. They were taught or had some experience that proved that that was the only possible way that the other could act or believe. It was refreshing to see a different side to each character, and I’m excited to be introduced to the other sins in the next book. I also have questions. Why Trinity? Why was she chosen for this particular job over anyone else? I’m dying to know the answer!
Who wouldn’t love a book about angels, demons and the seven sins? This book centres around a fallen angel trinity as she navigates a way for her to return to heaven. Tasked with the redemption of the seven sins, her work is cut out for her. I loved trins nativity and her genuine caring nature. The sins are deliciously amazing in their nature’s and interactions between each other and trin. We get to meet four in this book and I look forward to meeting them all. The group dynamic of sins and angel is so electric and angsty. The story flows well and has you engaged within the story. I loved the adventure we get and the discovery of what the angel/demon world’s are made up of. What a fantastic start, looking forward to book two!
Love this new take on the seven sins. Trinity is an interesting character. She’s not as straight laced as you would expect an angel to be. Yes, she’s fallen, but she wants to go back to heaven. The sins are hot! I’m loving how their personalities are written. I look forward to seeing how this story continues to unfold.
*Spoiler Alert*
Fallen Angel Trinity (FMC) has been given a task. If she convinces The Seven Sins onto the side of Heaven (even though they are neutral. Not on the side of Heaven or Hell) then she gets to go home (To Heaven). The only complications are that they are not interested & theyre hot as hell!! That is until a problem threatens all of them and they end up helping her. Well beckett (Greed), Remi (Gluttony), Nix (Sloth) and Ford (Wrath). The other 3 brothers arent in this book yet. Oh boy is it a joyride of a laughs & steamy scenarios. The part in the sex club was off the charts hotness!!!! Blimey was it good. This first book in the series was totally fantastic and i enjoyed reading every minute of it. Loved It
Hot Dark Kings
Absolutely loved this amazing, page-turner, action-packed, easy to read, steamy, first installment of this new series, that promises to be a fantastic one
If you think reading about the Seven Sins is going to be nasty or grotesque, you will be happily surprised by the way Sadie is presenting them in this series, you are going to love them, hot, hot, hot … And, of course, our FMC Trinity is adorable… naive, shy, but determined, smart and with an impressive inner strenght that will help her through a lot of difficult situations… Her love for humanity and pop culture is so cute, you’re going to lover her too… And, OMG, her interaction with the Sins is so hot… Ufff #gimmesomegreed #wantsomeBeckett … Can’t wait to read the next book, recommended!!!
Wow A Fantastic read and it has great story building as well as Character building. The Author has brought forth a fantastic story that had me inthralled from the first page to the last. This read has twists and turns that definitely keeps you turning the pages. I definitely recommend.

This book certainly has potential to be an amazing series. I enjoyed meeting Trin and some of the Sin guys, but was a little frustrated with how long it took before the action began. Towards the end of the book a lot of little hints and subtle plot twists were introduced, which intrigues me greatly. I look forward to catching up with Trinity and the rest of the guys in the next book and see how these little plot twists turn out.
Have to admit to being skeptical about and angel and the embodiment of the 7 sins but Sadie Moss is on my must read list so I gave it a go and loved it.
It would have been easy to go the obvious route and have the sins easily displayed (gluttony being fat, sloth being dirty etc) I really liked that their sin was just an influence of their personality and each of them that we have met are different but fun.
There are hints at a deeper reason behind Trin being set the task of redemption and I can’t wait to find out what is going on. Mild cliffhanger but I’m sure we won’t have to wait long to see that resolved
