What a fantastic story!!!
Hunter Hill is very smart and a little psychotic. When he sees Clover at his rehabilitation center he knows she is the perfect subject for his study. Hunter will lead Clover on a twisted journey in order to truly cure her of her addiction. He believes that his way is the only true cure. This wonderfully written slightly dark story is absolutely captivating and I was holding my breath the entire time I was reading it. I loved Hunter and Clover’s story and I definitely recommend it as a must read.
Clover Vos has nothing, not even a place to stay. A recovering heroin addict, recently released from a six-month rehabilitation, is in dire straits; she finds herself stranded at the same institution when she goes to the awards ceremony for staying clean for 30 days. Help appears to come from an unlikely source: Dr. Hunter Hill, the founder and owner of the rehabilitation center. He offers her a place for the night…. Or does he?
Sparks immediately fly when Clover and Dr. Hunter Hill “officially” meet for the first time. Clover is stunned by his male beauty, and Dr. Hill has been obsessing over Clover from the first day he saw her six months ago… the sexual tension between them is immediate, and is an itch that Clover is more than willing to scratch.
Dr. Hill is convinced that rehabilitation only goes so far; that unless the underlying reason for the addiction isn’t conquered, the addict will relapse. Dr. Hill has decided Clover will be his test subject; willing or not, knowingly or unknowingly…. But will she? Clover has a stubborn streak, along with a deep running pride; she doesn’t bend easily. Clover suddenly finds herself enmeshed in a deadly hunt, where’s she’s the prey, rather than the predator.
But Dr. Hill should remember… any animal that’s forced into a corner, is dangerous… and the human animal is perhaps the most dangerous of all…
Darkly erotic, this tale spins a web of intrigue, deception, sex and danger. A terrifying tale, it delves deeply into the psyche of both Dr. Hunter Hill and Clover Vos, leaving you guessing until the end.
ONE INTENSE EXPERIENCE!!!

Amazing, I’m at a lost for words. If this is just the start I can’t wait for the next book. I was so engrossed in this story, it had my mind questioning Hunter’s motives. I must say this wouldn’s be a Logan Fox’s if their were no twists thrown in just to keep you in your toes along with Clover too. I love that as curious Clover is, she is equally stubborn and strong too. I must say that both Hunter and Clover will definately keep you entertained and introduce new words in your vocabulary too.

Couldn’t put this down! Gripping, thrilling.. so deliciously dark and twisted.
I absolutely love Clover, with her snark and strong will. So broken, but determined to fight.
Hunter draws her into his dangerous game and I want to hate him, I ‘should’… but hell, who am I kidding – I always do love a dark, sinister, controlling anti-hero!
There’s still secrets to unfold, greater dangers to face, and I can’t wait to find them out in book 2!
A lot of words comes to my mind after reading Fox’s book.
Intense, dark, scary, twists, Intriguing, surprise… I can go on and on.
You never know what you get, when reading Fox’s stories – but you know that you get something that lingers in your mind for a long time.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
This story is a extremely deep and and dark at times. It will have you on the edge of your seat and yelling at it during other times. You see our characters going through struggles and emotional ups and downs. It is get down dirty and gritty. It at times seems like real life and you have wonder if this is how the some minds of an addict thinks in real life. It is darkness that creeps up on you and and has you looking over your shoulder. It is well written and most definitely worth reading.
In this book you’re taken on Clover’s journey Dr. Hill has put her on. Being a heroine addict, she returned to the Hill Institute to receive her 6 month chip for staying clean, but by the end of the night she’ll get more than she expected.
Dr. Hill decides Clover is the perfect specimen to try his hypothesis on. He believes he knows the way and can provide what an addict needs in order not to relapse. As owner of the Hill Institute he knows that relapses happen, but he feels he knows how to fix that and Clover is going to be introduced to his trials of the body and mind, whether she gives consent of not.
The journey is tough physically and mentally and this book is all about that journey. The book is told in dual POV, which is important so you can be engulfed in how each character sees situations, how each of them feel, and what each character is thinking. You’ll learn the secrets of both characters this way.
I really enjoyed the book for the most part. It ends in a HFN, but to be honest, I didn’t expect it to end where and when it did. It makes sense as to why it drops where it did, but I didn’t feel like I read a story when I was finished. It more felt like a short story, or a glimpse into a story, but that may be due to me feeling as if there was no real ending. I understand you’re told the ending, but for me, I felt that it all got tied up too quickly. Maybe it was the lack of connection with the HFN ending for me that made me feel like I read the journey, but what did I really get out of going through that with her? One sentence that claims what the reader needs? I didn’t connect with it.
The things I disliked about this book was that the dual POV’s overlapped. I didn’t need to rehash the same situation from both characters. I love dual POV’s, but dislike if I’m being told the same situation from both sides. The book dragged horribly at times. I felt areas could be condensed to keep the readers attention. I understand that we are in an addicts scattered mind, but there were things that didn’t need as much time, space, and attention. There are several misspellings and bad sentence structure. I’m no grammar police, but it got to the point they bothered me. Maybe I was already annoyed that it seemed like more sentences than not started with “And” as if the word was supposed to give some importance to the sentence. Quite often the sentence before could (and should have) been part of the sentence that started with “And,” but instead the author has created two sentences, using And as the beginning of the next sentence as if what you’re going to read needs more attention. It won’t though. To add to the overuse of “And” as beginning sentences, misspellings, and odd sentence structure, you’ll find an overuse of “…” and “-” in the middle and at the end of sentences. As I said, I’m not the grammar police, but it’s important to note for those who are bothered by misspellings and incorrect or jarring sentence structure.
I received an ARC copy for my honest review. Time to read 2 days. 3 stars.
I received an arc, and am voluntarily leaving this review. OMG!!!!!! I absolutely loved this story. I thought L. Fox’s Dark Twisted Love series was awesome, but I think this story is going to be off the charts. I kind of wonder if Hunter’s theory on the reason drug addicts keep relapsing. There were times I wish I could have slapped both Hunter and Clover because they both were just so stubborn….lol. I understand why they were that way but it was just frustrating to the point that I couldn’t stop reading. Ya’ll don’t wanna miss this story, its awesome. I can’t wait to read more of her stories.
Holy crap, not what I was expecting. I get so uses to books you can guess where it is going. Not with this one, so many twists turns and outright dead ends/detours. His obsession and her fight – but not against him in the conventional way. She loves his animalistic ways when pushed. He loves her fight, because every one else is a pushover. But can this be a HEA or a test gone wrong. A must read

With each new story you give us…we get so captivated by what you described, how the people interact and they way things come full circle. In this story I’m seeing some clues from different books. And that makes me LOVE this boo, so very much. Clover is this mess of a woman ,who has been dealt with some heavy sh*t in her life. But what really sets her apart is that she knows what went wrong and accepts it and moves on. Hunter in the other hand is very difficult to read but by the end of the story….which was a cliffhanger…UGH!, we start to understand him. Now I hope to get book 2 soon cuz this one rocked! Thank you again for another great story. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
I read this book as a arc copy this is the first book i have read by this other didn’t put it down keep Me gripped chopping at the teeth for the next one x
Who thought a book about a heroin addict would be so gripping! This story pulled me into it right from the start and the minute Clover is left in the woods by Hunter I had to continue reading. I felt everything Clover felt and wanted to know what was going on. It was fascinating and credible and although I don’t have all the answers it was a great story.
Clover is told she can no longer sleep on the coach at her friend’s house. She is officially homeless. She goes to a graduation party at the institute she graduated from for her addiction to heroin. Hunter is the director of the institute and he wants Clover for an experiment. He convinces Clover to come to his house and they have sex. Hunter drugs her and takes her into a jungle like, forest to find her way out. This novel get you hooked from the beginning.
This is a psychological thriller that focuses on Clover. She is fresh out of a six month rehab for her heroine addiction. She has no one close to her to lean on now that she is out. Her past has been one of using rich men for a roof over her head and to feed her addiction.
Unbeknownst to her the head of the rehab Dr. Hunter Hill has been studying up on her for the six months of her stay. He finds her to be the perfect opportunity to test his hypothesis.
Let the twisted games begin when both Hunter personality have switch to be prey. There was some back and forth in the couple that switched. Lots of mind games and drama. Looking forward to see what happens next. Glad for the dual POV. I am volunteering to leave a review for this book
The Hunter’s Game by Logan Fox is a warped, twisted, gripping, scintillating, mesmerizing story that kept me up all night!!!! It follows Clover, a recovering heroin addict….and Hunter, the Dr who runs the rehab facility she is six months sober from. This dude has some serious stuff going on and Clover is his focus!!!
While he seems horrible and warped in many respects….he is also caring and giving with her. But, he has one goal in mind…and if Clover is collateral damage to achieving that goal, so be it.
This was edge-of-your-seat drama and full of heart-pounding tension. You can NEVER predict anything in this wildly captivating story. I almost hate to say….I LOVED it….so….perverse, cruel, captivating, touching, and absolutely BRILLIANT!!!!
I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
