I love Christine Feehan’s books, but I had a hard time with this one. I think it was because the storyline was so similar to her others. I mean there are stories in her Carpathian series that follow the same basic lines, but this book didn’t have anything to make it different.
Great story-great characters- great sex-
A great paranormal romance series
didn’t put it down until I finish the book.
Great reading
Great series. Good read! Enjoyable
I love the book and the series! The story line and characters are so engrossing that I have problems putting it down. Looking forward to more!
Ms Fehan is writing the same format. But I like her characters however I wish she would have stayed with the old formula
This entire series is amazing and this is one of my favorite books in the series!
We’ve met Andre a few times in previous books….
Andre is classed as an ancient, he has lived in a colourless and emotionless world for centuries, his only reason for holding out now is his honour and duty to the Carpathian people.
Fighting the vampires have become a dangerous thing (if he gives in to the darkness) he feels he is becoming more and more like the thing he hunts.
Teagan is a geologist, she’s searching for certain gems to help her Grandmother (she’s losing her mind, muttering about vampires and monsters) no one believes Granny Trixie, so Teagan needs to find these gems.
After fighting a master vampire, Andre is mortally wounded, dragging himself to a cave, he weaves safeguards (he knows he won’t stop the vampire from finding him, but he hopes to slow him down, giving him time to heal) he intends to take the master vampire with him, but he’s not sure he has the strength.
Teagan is being drawn towards a cave, certain she will find the gem she is looking for, Teagan comes to find more than a gem….
This story is rather slow, we spend a lot of time recovering in the cave. We spend far too long having sex (pages and pages and pages) but on the plus side, it was nice to have a more understanding Carpathian (most are far too arrogant and domineering) it would have been nice to have met some of the ancients in more detail. (Word has it that the next few books will revolve around the ancients and the monastery)
It did feel a little rushed, and it felt like it could have been a novella rather than a full book.
Oh and I hope we get to meet granny Trixie she was so funny.
If you love sci-fi and romance you will love this book.
I’ve been away from the Dark series for a while because, well, they got to dark. This was a nice return to focusing on building the primary relationship, rather than the dark storm brewing. Good job.
Another awesome book for the Dark series. I love Christine Feehan. Dark Series is one of my top five favorite series of all times and it’s still going strong. I have read every book in this series some I have loved more than others. I feel Dark Ghost was a good slow burn, low drama read. In Dark Blood and a few others I had a problem with the large amount of spells and the Carpathian language filling the pages and boring the crap out of me, but gladly that was not a problem with this book!
I loved Andre. He is your typical CF alpha male in that he is super protective, dominant, and caveman in the way he just takes his woman, but he was also very sweet and he tries to compromise with Teagan. I love that I got to see the meaning behind him being called Ghost. Andre is in a few other books and I have always wanted him to get his own book. Teagan I am confused about. I don’t know if I like her or not. She was funny and brave one minute and then ditzy and wishy washy the next. It is because of my mixed feelings on Teagan that I took a star away from the rating of this book. Andre and Teagan are very cute together, and there is a nice relationship built in this book. This book is definitely a slower pace with very little drama or vampire fights. It is mainly just the relationship between Teagan and Andre and takes place in his cave. I would have liked to see some faces from the past but sadly there are none in this book. There are two new characters and I like and would like to see more of Fane and Grandma Trixie who sounds like she will be a lot of fun.
I have lost count the number of times I have read this book. I love the lead characters and how each helps the other with their weaknesses. I am glad that Andre and Teagan will be showing up in later books.
