Being Co Regent isn’t all Aura thought it would be. With the realm in need of change and the only other members of the cabinet that can make that happen have been missing for a year. So on the first day of Summer vacation Aura and her friends take on the task to hunt for the missing Opprør members. Aura and Viggos journey lead them north where they encounter new allies along the way. With the odds stacked against them at every turn they must do all they can to return Alfheim to its former glory. Will they succeed? find out in Alfheim Academy book 2 Dark Faerie
Aura continues to adapt to her new and every changing and every busy life in Alfheim. As she adjusts to her new role as a royal she has much to do to help her realm. Aura continues to grow stronger throughout her adventures. The supporting characters are also well developed and add much to the story. I enjoyed this book and you will too. Especially if you like adventure, discovery, and craftiness. Another great read by author, S.T. Bende.
This was a good addition to the series. I would highly suggest reading them in order, otherwise you’ll be lost as to what is going on and who is who. This story is very much a girl power sort of read and I was fine with that. Quite liked it really.
Aura was a good lead. She was strong, protective, loyal, honorable, and wanted what was right for her people and realm. I liked seeing the growth from book 1 to now.
The secondary characters were good too. We see familiar faces and meet new ones (which were awesome, to say the least). I was a little disappointed in Viggo’s character though. I had hoped there would be more to him and their relationship. It was almost like the romance is an afterthought and thrown in.
All in all, this was a good and quick read. Thank you ST Bende for this copy. This is my honest review.
So we pick up where we left on in book one. Aura is now Co-Regent of her realm. Also she has to finish up her year in school. She has a tough road to travel in this book. She has to find out what is Narrik’s deal while trying to find the missing cabinet members. So every step she tries to make Narrik’s there to shoot her down. Then her and Viggo come across some pretty internet news. There is definitely more action and revelations. It’s crazy what the find out. The relationship with Aura and Viggo deepens. This is an amazing follow up to book one. I can’t wait to find out what will happen next. Don’t miss out on this series.
Princess Aura now the Leader of Alfheim and Viggo, who is also helping Aura with her powers, face more challenges, in bringing the realm back to the way it was before all the destruction and finding and keeping their allies and family and friends safe, and they are going to take them by storm and hopefully come through them in Dark Faerie. Princess Aura and Viggo are just Perfekt for each other I just love this series and cant wait for the next book
It was definitely worth the wait to find out what happens next with the academy crew! I’ll be doing a reread of both again so I can prepare for the third cant wait for more!
Amazing action-package book!!!
Love to read how Aura is growing so much, as a person and as a figther, and how Viggo and her friends always have her back, they form an amazing Team, able to solve and overcome the most difficult situations!!! … In this book, Aura and her Team accomplished two great tasks, which gain them a great ally and set the path to the new era they expect for their home, a better World for everybody … Can’t wait for the next book, need to know what will happen next!!!
My goodness, there is no rest for the weary! Aura, on top of her crazy school schedule, is now taking on more responsibilities as the crown princess (and co-ruler) of Alfeim. She is having to make sure she passes her finals, and also learn how to maneuver around political rivals that exude hate toward her just because she has a differing opinion on how the realm should be run. As Aura works toward helping her land heal from the evil brought on by leaders who only lead to benefit themselves, she is also learning about the evil behind the scenes; people missing, land dying, slavery of certain species. A journey leads her to connections about her true self that she never knew, and possibly doesn’t want to know. However, to help her realm survive, she must either embrace her dark side of her faerie nature, or possibly watch her kingdom fall into ruin. Finding the balance between the Light and the Dark within her will either kill her, or it will make her more powerful than she realizes. The silver lining is she is not alone. Her friends rally around her to try and unravel the mystery of the evil and pain in the land. Aura knows she cannot do it on her own, and has the wisdom to utilize their different talents.
I just simply LOVED this book. Not only is it satirical, but it truly speaks to how we need to take care of our own “realm”. Bende takes us deeper into the Norse world that I never thought was possible. She’s just that good! I feel like I should pick up any Norse mythology tome, and find her works their because Bende writes characters and stories that feel like they should be real. Go ahead, treat yourself, and buy this book, and be sucked into a world you will never want to leave.
This second book in the Alfheim Academy series is just as exciting as the first. Aura Nilssen faces even greater challenges now that she is the ruler of the light realm. Dark magic, devious tyrants, internal corruption and evolving powers make this story exciting and action packed. It is an adventure story full of villainy and self discovery, with some romance mixed in there too. I will look forward to reading the next in the series
As always, another great read from Ms. Bende. I have yet to be disappointed in her books and this book delivers! It continues right where book 1 left off so you definitely need to start the series before you pick up this book. Aura is full of spunk with great character build and getting to know her friends Thales you for a ride. Viggo is…… a little unknown so I’m hoping they’ll be more in the next book so we can get to know him. Overall, another great read and can’t recommend this enough!
