When I must say that this one truly blew me away. I love how each person was described and how they interacted with one anohter. Aria is the young woman who is left in the dark but when Thomas comes into play…all bets are off and dark deeds are in store. Some names from past books were dropped in and it took us into a ” this books rocks to I need more and I need it now” read. So worth it. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy
Aria and Thomas`s story will hook you form the first page and they will take you on their journey . Aria is a mafia princess who is kidnapped one night and that is when she reconnects with Thomas one of her kidnappers. This slow moving complex plotline on alternate POV`s is intense and this situation will change them both . I honestly volunteered to review this arc.
This is book 3 in the Secrets of the Night series and focuses on Thomas and Aria. They have a shared history, but have lost touch. When Thomas has to kidnap her to save his own life, the attraction between them is amazing. They struggle with their feelings and with the things that have happened to get them to this point in their lives. The story is wonderfully told from both of their points of view. A great addition to the series with danger, suspense, steam and a HEA.
The Erik Bertinelli Family saga justs gets more intense. This was a great book and I found it hard to put down. Fast-paced and full of action that will keep you page-turning. The book was well written and the characters were strong and well developed. The story was engaging and fun to read. This was Aria and Thomas’s story and part of the Secrets of the Night series, but can be read as a standalone.
I absolutely love this whole series and this book is my favorite so far!
It can be read as a stand-alone since it features a new couple, but it’s continuation of actions from previous book so it’s best to read them in order.
The storyline has a good flow to it and it is well written. I was hooked from the start and read it in one sitting.
Both Aria and Thomas are well developed characters. I especially liked Thomas, his character has great depth and growth through the story.
Weston and Ali never disappoint with their more dark mafia romance stories and I can’t wait to read more!
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is a well written book with strong, well developed characters and a dark, intense story line. The author does a fantastic job developing the story and pulling you in with all the drama and danger and brings it to life with her descriptive and vividly detailed scenes. It’s a dark, steamy read that captured me from beginning to end. I loved and would highly recommend this book.

He has to kidnap Aria a Mafia Princess! She’s super protected by her father but he takes her from a date. thomas has to keep her in captivity. As they have to work together they both learn to grow up and learn to take life seriously. Will they make it out and find happiness together? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This well written storyline is gritty, suspenseful and kept me turning the pages until the very end. This is the third book in the Secrets of the Night series. I enjoyed reading about Aria and Thomas. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Thomas and Aria’s story is tumultuous. This book is a bit dark, but I couldn’t put it down. The writing was amazing!
It feels like it’s been forever since I read that first book about the Bertinelli crime family and its associates. I’ve been looking forward to reading more ever since then. It took me a bit to really get into this book. The beginning didn’t feel like what I remembered of the previous two books. Initially, I wasn’t finding the tension and suspense that I was expecting, but I think that was because there was lots happening behind the scenes leading up to it. So, what I was seeing was a slower build. I was also having problems seeing Erik, who had been one of my favorite dark heroes, being a villain in this story. It took me longer than it probably should have to readjust my perspective. Once the plot gained momentum, I was hooked on Thomas and Aria’s story, and I was dying to see how it was all going to work out. And now, the seeds that have been planted make me very curious to see where the author will take us next.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
The storyline is captivating, the characters are well developed, hot steamy scenes. This was well written and the plot flowed smoothly. It was addicting and I did not want to put it down!!
A gritty heart pounding read
Deadly, dangerous, drama, despicable, dark, but also with desire. When Aria is kidnapped she recognizes one of her kidnappers, Thomas. Thomas did not want to get involved but his sister is pregnant with Erik’s baby and he threatened to hurt his sister if he didn’t help. Crime family hitmen are coming out of the walls tryingto get to Aria. Drama filled. Action packed. Great storytelling. Fantastic characters.
Dark Deeds by Nicole York is a gritty continuation of the Erik Bertinelli Family. This is the story of Aria Carrington and Grace’s brother Thomas Adams. The storyline is captivating, the characters are well developed, it’s on the edge of your seat gritty, suspenseful, mafia madness, angst, mayhem, a huge cornucopia of drama, hot steamy scenes and a fantastic ending. I am so looking forward to reading more of this series. I will definitely recommend this book and author.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced readers copy.
Just as dark and gritty
Aria, a socialite, is thrown into a bad situation with Thomas, a college student with a debt to pay. As the story progresses hard truths are aced, reality is often different than it seems, and surviving the what they are facing is not guaranteed. Nicole York’s latest addition to the Secrets of the Night series is just as dark and gritty as Dark Obsession and Dark Encounter. While it is not necessary to read the other two books prior to this one; I highly recommend reading at least Dark Encounter so as to understand the evets leading up to this one. Reader discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
An intense book in the third edition of Secrets of the Night. The story of Thomas and Aria. Thomas was saved by his sister but his has to work for Erik Bertinelli and it just doesn’t sit well. When he finds out what he has to do he realizes that he knows Aria and he will do what he needs to do to protect her.
Aria is a pawn in her father’s mistakes but she didn’t realize what she would find in this hell.
Great characters, real life drama! Perfect ending
Suspenseful! May Be Read As Stand-Alone, But Action Leading To The Opening Takes Place In Book Two Of The Series.
Thomas And Aria Have A Second Chance At Love Under The Gravest Of Circumstances!
This book may be read as a stand-alone; however, the action that leads to the opening meeting between Thomas and Erik takes place in book two of the series. Much is thus gained by having read the second book first. This is book three of the Secrets Of The Night series published under the pen name Nicole York, and it was previously published under a different title by Weston and Ali Parker.
Thomas Adams, around twenty-two, made a deal with the devil – Erik Bertinelli, New York’s top mobster. Thomas had been a somewhat normal frat boy, living the college party scene and dabbling in kinky bondage in his dorm room until just a few weeks ago. (see Secrets Of The Night, Book 2 for more details).
It began when Thomas and his friends Billy and Doug borrowed some money from a professor to pay for a good time. To pay him back, they got cocky and decided to rob a currency exchange. But as luck would have it, it turned out the store they robbed was operated by the Bertinelli crime family. Thomas’ friends were hunted down and killed, but when Thomas’ identity as the last culprit is known, his sister intervenes. Grace, a librarian, has somehow fallen for the young mobster and she is now carrying his baby. When Erik and his associate Kane crash Thomas’ dorm room, Grace shows up and begs for Thomas’ life.
So Thomas has one chance to do a job for Erik and earn his life back. He doesn’t know what to expect, but he certainly doesn’t think he will participate in the kidnapping and captivity of the woman he had wanted to ask to prom just a few short years ago.
Aria Carrington, twenty-two, leads a spoiled but lonely life, mostly shut away in her family estate. Bad boys are her vice, but the men she has allowed into her bed are afraid to be too rough with her. Set to inherit the family fortune one day, she is included in most business matters by her father. Yet recently he hasn’t been completely forthcoming with her.
When Aria realizes that she is being kidnapped, she berates herself for her carelessness. The three captors are terrifying, but the young handsome kidnapper looks familiar.
When Aria calls out Thomas, he knows that even if he survives the job he will never be able to return to his old life. There is no escape for either of them; they have to see this out together. Despite that they both know how wrong it is, they are attracted to one another, and a deep passion ignites in the most inappropriate of places.
Thomas and Aria have a second chance at love under the gravest of circumstances. Thomas has to grow up quickly, first to save his own life, then to save Aria’s. He learns things about himself that he never suspected before. Aria has led the life of a spoiled princess, and her captivity changes her. She is forced to see things differently and to reorder her priorities. This unlikely pairing ends up earning a nice HFN!
One loose end that may bother some is the order to send body parts to Aria’s father. It appears that did not happen. There is no explanation for why, yet near the end it is implied this might actually have taken place. It isn’t clear if that is a joke, but if the order was carried out it seems wrong that something so extreme is not even mentioned.
This book is a fairly easy read. It is nicely written with few errors. The POV alternates between Thomas and Aria. The plot is somewhat complex but slow-moving and spans more than just this book. Suspense grips the reader as the plot unfolds. The characters are decently defined. Perhaps because Thomas played a role in the second book, his character has more depth. It is nice to read about other supporting characters familiar from the second book of the series. I rate this book four stars.

This was Book 3 in the “Secrets of the Night” series and I was totally amazed from the very first page! The storyline was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters were so well created that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book!
