TWISTED!
Another fierce shocking read that I absolutely loved. Thrilltastic storyline that grabs hold of the reader and igniting a fire to turn those darn suspense filled pages. Gripping and high on thrills, chills, shock, daunting emotions and dark exciting chemistry.A hold on tight and prepare to ride the edge of your seat throughout this dark amazing read.
This story is dark, twisted, and mind blowing. Yes, it may have triggers for some and not recommended for those. However, it is a ride that has you wondering and guessing what is going to happen. You will try to put it down saying I have to get things done but you can’t because you can’t leave the story without reading another chapter. It is grimy and full of deliciousness that you are drawn into the Mallhaven world just as the characters are. There are cameos of other stories characters as well. Yes, reading some of other stories by Logan Fox will add to the experience but I can say the other series isn’t a must to read this series because Logan Fox has written it so well that it all falls into place. It adds a depth to the series that you just wouldn’t believe. When you finish The Agony Doll it was a roller coaster ride that has you blown away. This is an absolute must read. Prepare to have your mind completely blown away. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.
It’s all coming together now. From the very first book I read by Logan Fox until the Agony Doll, I am finally seeing the connection between the characters and their involvement in Mallhaven. Well done indeed! Misery loves company and Agony loves pain! Simon (Kane’s alter ego)loves giving pain and Owen is one sick man who gives and receives! I am so ready for more of this story! Bring it on!

Warning: This Is Not Just Dark. This Gets Sick.
Although this is the fourth book in the series, the bulk is a flashback as Kane tells Hunter about his past, so it could be read as a stand-alone.
As the book opens opens, baby Mary (from the previous book) is still in onsies and diapers, and the time that Hunter and Kane spent on the farm, when they met Ziggie, was ten years in the past (these timelines don’t jive with facts from previous books in the series). Chapter two opens up with Kane “several years earlier.” “Several” doesn’t make sense, since Kane’s story necessarily predates the ten years back when he met Ziggie.
Following the brief introduction, this story becomes Kane and Owen’s story, delving even deeper into the past than book two in the series. It begins in the aftermath of an event that took place at Cora Swan’s (the Mexican cartel).
Ronan King, the local Irish mafia boss, is dead, as is Darcy King, and Owen Morrison, despite his declarations, is in shock. He had been having an affair with Darcy and is now numb, losing track of time. Owen had been working for Ronan as a runner, cleaner, and enforcer. He basically ran everything for Ronan.
Kane Price has been suspended from the FBI and is working undercover to take down a Mexican heroin producer and some mafia, all in hopes of getting his job back. His sadistic alter-ego when he blacks out goes by the name of Simon.
Both Owen and Kane are trying to discover who the next mob boss is in the first section (20%) of the book. It is told from their POVs (and that of Kane’s alter-ego Simon).
One quarter through, Agony O’Donnell (Darcy’s sister) is introudced, and her POV is added. She is rebellious and an embarrassment to her rich family. Simon picks up Agony, after which Kane has her, too. Owen still struggles to get past Darcy. Through Darcy, Owen and Kane meet up (they had become acquainted two weeks earlier in Ronan’s warehouse). Kane proposes to help Owen during this uncertain time by helping him finish a job they had begun earlier with Ronan and Cora Swan.
In the third part, the group attends an elite party at the Fox Pit, where things don’t seem quite right. It is owned by some of the members that purchased their seat on the Council of Nine. Agony and Owen are slipped some drugs, then they hook up; afterward Agony asks for a threesome and they do drugs. Owen is disturbed to find he is turned on by a disturbing movie involving a knife and blood. He later discovers Kane (Simon, actually) has done this. As disturbed as both Owen and Simon are by what they see at the party, it doesn’t stop them from barreling down a deep and dark path as a result of it.
Part four has Owen, Will, and Kane getting serious about arranging a mafia job Owen has to pull off. Kane reaches out to Cora for help because he doesn’t want to see Owen in his grave if they fail. This is in contrast to him earlier wanting to take down everyone involved in the transaction in order to avenge his parents’ death (the deals of which are never sufficiently provided, so it is a little hard to read his character). There is no explanation as to his reason for giving up his earlier motivation; it therefore comes across as confusing. If anything, it makes Kane look uncommitted and weak-minded. Owen turns to his dark side and begins making snuff films. This is violent and sick.
In part five, everything begins to unravel on all fronts. Kane suddenly does remember his motivations, but with no explanation for his earlier forgetfulness. Kane struggles with understanding his blackouts.
In part six, they try to resolve their messed up situation, bringing Agony into the fold. Carter’s threat is the problem they choose to fix first, but disappointing Gaffer means near certain death. Their priorities are off so it doesn’t feel authentic. It is not surprising when Gaffer takes Will.
Kane starts getting into Simon’s head beginning in part five, but in the end Simon seems to take charge – apparently he controls Kane with drugs. Once he started leaking through, I expected Simon to soften, but he only went downhill.
The threesome took a huge downward spiral after the party that made them uncomfortable. They all flipped a switch. I expected at some points for them to discuss things, but it never really happened.
I would give this 3.5 stars if possible. The last book in the series had been difficult to get through. Fortunately, there weren’t nearly as many holes and inconsistencies here. The subject matter, though, is not just dark but sick. Really sick. You’ve been warned! There were a number of places, noted above, that didn’t feel authentic to the characters. Their decisions and actions didn’t always make sense from the reading. It might have been explained better.
Because ages in the series are hard to follow and inconsistent, I’ve noted all ages mentioned in the book. Will, Owen’s younger brother, is twenty-seven. Owen is one year older than Will – so twenty-eight. Agony is twenty-three. Lars is twenty-something.
Dark, twisted and complex!

This was a dark and twisted story that was hard to follow since I had not read any of the previous books. This book needs to be read following the previous books in the series. The subject matter was unclear from the start and only after I had read the whole book did it seem to make more sense. The story revolves around Owen and his brother Will, two Irish mafia men and an ex DEA officer who has blackouts where he remembers nothing. They team up together with the sister of Owens lover.

Interesting and a very dark read that kept me
on the edge of my seat.
Definitely read the books in order other wise you
will have trouble understanding the plot.
The Agony Doll by Logan Fox is book 4 in the series and the best book so far! It is so dark and twisted and you just can’t put it down. Honestly didn’t want it to end.
I’ve read many books by Logan Fox and each story is unique and the characters are extremely depraved. This is 18+ and it comes with a warning. Highly recommend all her books! Love your books Ms. Fox! Keep on writing!

The Agony Doll is twisted, it’s dark, it’s erotic, and it’s a little bit of a stomach turner. If you have triggers this book, Hell this entire series, probably isn’t for you. BUT it is an amazing story so far. The Agony Doll is another layer, in the form of a flash to Kane’s past, that is filled with information needed for the Blood for Blood storyline to progress. It’s told in multiple POV’s from some new characters to this series, and some old.
I can honestly say I was a little confused while reading this one, because I’ve only read Logan Fox’s Blood for Blood series, and I think some of the characters in this story originated in two of her other series. That being said I caught on rather quickly, because the author does kind of aide you along the way of why/where Kane/Owen/Simon/Agony and everyone else come in to play in other the other stories.
All in all this is a great dark and twisted read. Great layered storytelling. Events that will make you ask yourself why this story is so entertaining, and characters who may be awful but you somehow hope for the best for them anyway.
I definitely recommend the entire Blood for Blood series and I plan to start the other series the main characters in this story came from ASAP, so I have an even deeper understanding.
This is the fourth book in the Blood for Blood series, and I’m absolutely in love with this series!! This book is definitely the best so far in this series, it’s dark, twisted and an intense gripping read. The story flowed so smoothly from start to finish. The characters are compelling and twisted. The author can write scenes so tense that you will keep biting your nails in anticipation for more. I would recommend this book, as well as any other by this author.

Wow! This is essentially a flash back in Kane’s life and if you have read Their Cartel Princess series and Dark Rapture series you will recognise some of the characters and events that transpire. Having said that it isn’t a necessity but believe me both series are worth reading, I would recommend reading the previous books in the Blood for Blood series though.
So I’m not sure how to review this book, I really wouldn’t recommend if you cannot deal with abuse, torture, rape and murder because yes they are all going to make an appearance here. If you can deal with all of the above then climb aboard this ride and hang on for dear life as Logan Fox takes you on a scary twisted ride that will leave your guts clenching and your head reeling. The tale is fast paced and told from a number of POV’s, so pay attention or you will get lost and trust me, Mallhaven is not somewhere you want to get lost in!
Yet another amazing series by this talented author and if you enjoy reading books that are seriously dark then I recommend you give this series a whirl, you will not be disappointed, as the pace, plot and if I’m honest slightly sick nature of these books, is addictive.

Reading this book feels like Hunter felt when Kane told his story. The phrase ‘man’s inhumanity to man’ is an apt description; the violence and depravity are difficult to comprehend let alone read, but like all of Logan Fox’s books the reader is compelled to keep reading. I am not sure if it helps or hinders having read the ‘Fool’s Gold’ series, but it does raise more questions than it answers at this point. After everything Kane relates, I am not sure why I feel sympathetic towards his character but I do and now I wait for the last book in the series that will make sense of all this – I hope!
Dark and twisted is a way to describe this book in the series. This focuses on Kane, Qwen and Agony. There is a lot going on. Heroin use, drug selling, bondage and sex, as well as murder. This novel keeps you interested and wanting to keep reading.
This dark and thrilling read pulled me right in with the well written storyline and interesting characters that kept me turning the pages until the very last page!
This is book four in the Blood for Blood series. This is Kane’s story which is told in flashbacks. We have another dark and twisted roller coaster ride of a story to add to the series. I do not know why I find myself hooked on this dark tale but this author’s story telling skills are amazing. You know you are reading something that is down right awful sometimes but you are plain captivated. Anxiously awaiting the next and last book in the series to tie all these crazy bits together. Enjoy!
AN EXTREMELY INTENSE RIDE!!!
Deep, dark & twisted! Logan spawns one intense, spills, thrills and chills in this maximum exposure, jaw dropping, wild ride that fuse this block buster together fluidly. I don’t know what Logan uses for inspiration, but her insight is incredibly hard core and realistic. Logan pulls all the emotions you feel and intensifies them through you, with what feels like gale force winds steadily battering against our heart and soul. Non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, page flipping, adrenaline pumping bombshell that keeps you riveted on a razors edge. Drama, skepticism, danger, intrigue, mystery, turmoil, distress and suspense intensifies blasting this gem to life flawlessly. Add perplexing situations that catapults this baby into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, bursting it into a tailspin with stunning impacts. Luring you in so deep until nothing else exist. The characters are well matched and blended as they play off one another perfectly. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Fantastic job Logan, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
This book and the serie is not for everyone. It’s more than dark and twisted in a good way.

Fascinating characters and Irish Mafia power squabbling
—>>> This is the first story I have read from this author; it is one of those reads probably best begun from the beginning of the series, but the vein of which I followed just fine. Fascinating characters and Irish Mafia power squabbling, all thinly held by the web of old-world rules. Kane, Agony, and Owen are an unlikely trio drawn together by their depravity and darkness. I definitely need to start with Book #1 to see what I have missed and am really looking forward to the next installment in this series, anticipated to be a new level of dark.
This is one of those books that stays with you long after you finish. It’s dark, bloody, twisted and crazy good. I need more!
This is a series that I think needs to be read in order to fully comprehend what is going on and who is who. Whilst reading this I was sitting on the edge of my seat at times, it’s another great installment to the story that is once again filled with suspense and intrigue. There are some dark themes in this plot, but if you have read the previous 3 books then this one shouldn’t be an issue for you. Overall it was a great read.

How do I describe what I’m feeling after reading this book…we’ll let’s just say it was one of the detailed reads I’ve ever read to say the least. It’s gives us so many missing pieces that I finally know why he is the way he is and I’m so sorry for him. They all go through so much and when we meet Agony it just adds more spin to the tale. This whole series has left us reeling but we can’t put it down. Now I have to see how it ends. The Blood King needs to pay. Logan you have helped me so much over the last few months. Each story got deeper and deeper but it helped me get through life. I needed that distraction and this was it. So thank you for giving us these great stories and I can’t wait to see how it all ends. You rock!! I give it 5+ stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
