This series delivered what was promised. I enjoyed it, even though the female MC annoyed me many times. She sounds juvenile or even too spoiled at times. In general, it was a fun sexy read!

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some “oh no” “oh wow” ” what the what” moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Curiosity will get you into all kinds of trouble and that is exactly what happens to Alice she is invited to Dark Ally is a night club that you must be invited to and she was and once invited she discovered there is more to herself and she likes the confidence she discovers she has and Jason really was the King of Diamonds but what is next for these two?
Good story 4 ½ stars – This is a long story with an inconclusive ending. There is a lot of inside the head narrative – a few repetitive but some are useful for setting the tone, environment or events. Overall though, it is a good story. The supporting characters are interesting. King of Diamond’s background story and Alice’s discovery of her true self are fascinating. The scenes are steamy. I like that the plot is not straightforward. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
2 1/2 Stars…
This is the first book I’ve read by D.S.Wrights and was not overly impressed. Alice is our h, a whiney, self centered, not particularly likable 30 something who after a recent break-up, is looking for something. She’s not really sure what, but she wants it too be hot, sweaty, and all about her. I really found this character to be annoying and pretty horrible friend. The problem then became because I didn’t like this character at all, how can I enjoy this book. That was a dilemma for me. I love most all the men in this book, but I really had a hard time overcoming the “Alice Problem”. The book was difficult for me to get through, because of her. Would I give D.S.Wrights another chance, probably, but I’ll pass on any more about Alice

This is the first book I have read from D.S. Wrights and I have to say that I have found another author I will definitely be looking out for. I really liked how it was marked in sections by whose perspective the story was coming from. This story is dark, mysterious and very passionate. My emotions were all over the place as one of the characters kept looking at everything negatively when it came to her – she didn’t think she was pretty enough and that everyone was just playing a game with her just to embarrass her. I just wanted to tell Alice that she was enough and to have faith in herself!
I loved how when Alice walked through the “Dark Alley”, she turned into a whole new person (Bella). One who was more confident with herself and was able to “play” the part she had been yearning for. I also loved how Jason (King of Diamonds) and Bella were honest with each other from the start.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and look forward to reading more from D.S. Wrights. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy through Booksprout ARC’s for an honest review.
This was a good story, very explicit but it was also a bit interesting. I enjoyed reading and recommend it to others.

This was a quick fun read. It shows you that once
Alice stops caring about her age, what other pleople
think, and just starts living more for herself, she seems
freed. Others start noticing her, people which she has a
lot in common with.
An exciting and hot read that certainly grabs your attention and leaves you wanting more. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved Alice’s character, she had such spunk. A passionate and steamy read and one I highly recommend.
Dark Alley was fresh and new. Something I didn’t expect. It was steamy and hot. A well told story. King of Diamonds and Belladonnas scenes ignite the pages of this book as you read it.
This is a compilation of several stories about Alice, Jason and Dark Alley. I enjoyed how each story deepened and expanded Alice and Jason’s relationship. To me this made for an overall easy read.
I felt this wasn’t as dark as past DS Wrights books I’ve read, but still had the heat and style I find compelling. Great read!
