#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts begins her Dream Trilogy with the story of Margo, a housekeeper’s daughter who picks up the pieces of a shattered dream to start a new one—with the sisters of her heart… things. The daughter of the Templeton’s stern Irish housekeeper, Margo had been treated like a member of the family. Deep down, she knew that money could not buy the thing she craved most—her mother’s acceptance.
Maybe things would be different if she could be sweet like Laura—or had Kate’s shrewd head for business. But all Margo knew how to do was be Margo, and that meant doing things her own way—no matter what the consequences…

This is one of my all-time favorite Nora Roberts books which is a tall order considering her impressive backlist. It’s one of those books I reread every year and each time I fall a bit more in love with Margo, Josh, and their delightful cast of family and friends.
Daring to Dream kicks off Nora Roberts’s trilogy about three best friends who grew up together in an elegant house in Monterey, California. Each of the women is going through a difficult time in their life, and it’s Margo, the disgraced model, whose story is told in the first installment.
Margo is a fabulous heroine- smart, confident, and humorous. She’s also so relatable despite her glamorous career. Her friendship with Laura and Kate is so wonderfully depicted and you really see the bonds of sisterhood in their relationship.
Josh is the perfect hero- intelligent, passionate, and capable of keeping Margo on her toes. Their romance is swoon worthy, propelled by a deep friendship and electric chemistry. There are so many beautiful moments in this book and this is one of those romances that will stay with you for a long time. I highly recommend this one!
Great read.
Daring to Dream is the first in the “Dream” trilogy by Nora Roberts. This is the series that made me a life-long Nora fan. The trilogy features three women who grew up together and have to fight to find their happily ever afters. Daring to Dream is about Margot Sullivan, who was a top model until a scandal shook up her life. She finds a way, with the help of her two best friends, to reinvent herself and find her soulmate. It’s a wonderful story.
I enjoyed Daring to Dream so much the first time, I read it and the series 2 more times at least
This is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books (even after all these years!). I’m sure that sure that Kate, Margo and Laura’s tight friendship was an influence in the friendship I wrote between Kayla, Joy and Laura in the Manhattan Holiday Loves series!
The banter between Margo and Josh is H-O-T!!! I think my Kindle still has some lingering steam. The bathtub scene…well, don’t mind me…I’m over here fanning myself. But it’s also a story of a woman learning her own strength and growing into her magnificence, and it’s beautiful to watch unfold on the page. The HEA is perfect and this story will always hold a special place in my heart.
Nora does this so very well. I loved this series as I have her others. But make sure you have time before starting, or you’ll be late for whatever it was you were going to do. It calls for a hammock and a glass of lemonade.
Enjoyed this series!
This series is wonderful. I have these books as a hard copy and as a Kindle. The three girls each have a very different personality. Yet they are sister friends. Now the guys are strong and very supportive of their women.
